Oh yeah, shit is starting to get serious now. I mean, we ofc got Onimaru becoming an ONI lol, and hold up, is that Hiroshi?? Lol, nah but seriously though, shit is serious. LIke Onimaru is sick of Yaiba's shit and pulled up to the school for one reason and one reason alone, and waste NO time getting to it. And it's clear that sword ain't just give his actual power and boost, but his ego has been boosted to all hell as well. I mean, after getting your shit rocked the day before all around town by this little ass kid, who wouldn't xD

But yeah, didn't expect to uh, see blood, seeing as this legit a undercover kids show, but that just shows the severity of the situation at hand. He runs away, and would ya know deadbeat dad just so conveniently pulls up to tell him about the polar opposite of Onimaru's sword known to combat it, and where he has to go... to Hiroshi that we saw at the start of the episode, or I'm sorry, MIYAMOTO FUCKING MUSASHI LMAOOOOO. But yeah, we get to see the sword itself, and would you know, Yaiba grabs it with ease first try... poor Musashi lol.

Got to see demon Yaiba for a second there, and yeah, for sure the whole things with these swords are gonna spice up this show, both in it's fights and depth of the fights themselves ofc. And ofc, the animation is gonna go bonkers as well, you already know it will. I guess you could say this is the offical end of the prolgoue, and now from here is the REAL story.

With Onimaru obtaining his family heirloom, the Sword of the Thunder God, Raijinken, reckons calling for its owner to face against the similarly Wind God.

Onimaru coming back for a rematch, though looking like a true oni this time, and Yaiba certainly got what is coming for him with the Fujinken. And Yaiba trusting with his Shingan certainly works, not until Onimaru unleashes the power of the wind against him to account for quite the loss. It's only with its opposing sword of the Rajinken that Yaiba desperately wants, and with his Pops leaking its location and its owner, it's off to Mt. Tengu alongside Kagetora and Shonosuke.

The discreet swordman Musashi Miyamoto taking care of the sword, but having to endure 400 years to find the successor to the Raijinken and being the legendary Samurai, Yaiba may have a problem wielding with it, but it takes tenacity to properly use its power, though he certainly is only getting started being overwhelmed by the Thunder God at first. And to spend yet time to teach Yaiba how to master the sword, it'll certainly be worth it in the long run.

This is only the start, but the feud between Yaiba and Onimaru has only begun to take shape...

The actual show is starting now, with Onimaru going full oni mode and kicking Yaiba’s butt—just like how he lost his own by cheating. Onimaru has control over his body and mind, but to me, it seems like he’s lost his heart and gone fully evil, driven by a desire to become stronger than ever.

Yaiba, on the other hand, gets his ass handed to him and barely survives—saved by a thread from Onimaru, surprisingly. He gets back on his feet after learning there’s a way to fight back against Onimaru. Even after obtaining the sword Raijinken, he still isn’t able to wield it without losing himself to the thunder god.

Looks like Yaiba’s training is about to begin so he can finally defeat Onimaru. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of shape the revelry between these two will take.

Very simple story, but this is easily the most fun show airing at the moment. Onimaru predictably dominated the first encounter after gaining his powers. Time for a training arc.

Another good episode where Wit delivered!!
Stakes have been risen, Onimaru now also seems to be permanently stuck in his oni appearance? Been wondering how this is gonna affect him being a student and all at this school.
Miyamoto seems to be a real fun grandpa, am kinda looking forward how he is gonna train Yaiba!

Really clean, smooth animation again and really good OST, cant wait for next week

Onimaru taking the fight to Yaiba! With his new wind god sword and oni powers awakened Onimaru is on a mission to take down Yaiba at all cost. Its hard to blame him after all we saw Yaiba do to him last episode. However this is definitely taking things pretty far, attacking him at the school heavily damaging it with those wind powers. The shot of the wind slicing vertically through the school looked insane. Onimaru really could've killed everyone inside, he's gone full demon. Yaiba has no choice but to go after that thunder god sword his dad told him about. Which it was nice to see Yaiba dad back and not come cliche he doesn't come back until the end of the series. But now Yaiba, with Sayaka in tow, along with his animals are headed to this mountain looking for the thunder god sword. Well I suppose actually to find the caretaker of the sword, who is this little old man. Miyamoto the pint sized yet somehow blocking attacks with sticks levels of strong old man who insists he's not old. He seems like a solid teacher if only Yaiba wasn't an unruly student. He did manage to pull the sword out but hes obviously not ready to wield its full power. Yaiba will have to get strong to not become an oni himself

Lots of Dragonball classic vibes. I still could do without the cringe stuff (seeing Sayaka's boobs and her being roped onto the tiger) but the rest is kind of interesting.

How is he any good if he doesn't know Mushashi Miyamoto, THE most famous samurai?

When the sword took control of him it was like D&D where a sentient weapon overpowers its user. But at least now he's got a ready made teacher for the Thunder Sword!

episode 4/5

There was a big progression in the plot in this episode, so the story will focus on gods and their "disciples", on one side Onimaru representing the onis and on the other Yaiba on the human side. One with the power of the god of thunder and the other with the god of wind

The story is finally taking a turn and I like it. The episode further emphasized their rivalry, and now Onimaru aims to have the two legendary swords. That fight was a total massacre, the school was completely destroyed and Yaiba was left with several injuries, and I think it needed to be like that, for their rivalry to become more "firm" it was necessary to reach this point of several consequences caused by Onimaru. A really good episode, perhaps the best so far, and what I admire the most is this animation, which is simply incredible.

I absolutely recommend the original. This adaptation doesn't capture how funny and a great guilty pleasure it was. The OP and ED are bangers.

Another goated episode! The fight between Onimaru and Yaiba was breathtaking! I did not expect to see such genuinely scary confrontations in this lighthearted show, but I was actually worried a few times while watching it.

Also, I like that the pacing of the story is moving along nicely. Yaiba is now in possession of his very own sword.

The humor in this episode was great, once again!

Yaiba's 3rd episode was really amazing! The battle between Onimaru and Yaiba was so exciting. Onimaru truly transforming into an Oni was incredible, it felt so powerful in that moment. The difference between Yaiba's determination and Onimaru's powers was well executed. It was definitely worth the wait!

Yeah, the first 3 episodes are okay (in both versions), well except for Sayaka getting struck by lightning and not needing to go to the hospital or get first aid, and just shakes it off, because it's a comedy, right? But starting from the next episode is where the original series got too silly, childish and cartoony for me because of the
Complete opposite of Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, where it starts off childish, but then becomes serious after a few episodes.

Waited to watch 3 episode in sequence, was fine with the first 2, but this 3rd one, left a very sour taste.
Imagine the person that keep to themselves and don't bother anyone, get pushed to the point of becoming a school shooter/stabber or katana attacker in this case. And now they are the villain, and the "hero"/bully is seen as the victim.

Onimaru has given Yaiba the fight he's wanted. After Yaiba stole his Kendo gear and set up near-fatal traps, does Yaiba have any right to complain about Onimaru fighting dirty?

To beat the wind sword, it takes the thunder sword, off to find Miyamoto Musashi himself...Yaiba can pull it out where Sayaka could not, but controlling it is different. Musashi will be his new master.

Maken/magic sword, Raijinken thunder sword and fujinken wind sword. While Onimaru succumbed to power of the sword Yaiba aims to master it as himself and win against him. Onimaru really went full villain, using real sword against Yaiba trying to kill him and any bystanders. Now where's the police at? Why no ones trying to catch Onimaru lol.

Holy shit things are getting so serious now after the last 2 fun episodes, we got Onimaru pulling up on Yaiba and completely destroying him and damaging the school in the process that last slash attack was fucking CRAZY bro shit had me saying “YOOOOO” bc I wasn’t expecting bro to cause damage to the school and attack the students as well, like bros fully embracing the Oni that’s dwelling inside him bc of the sword😧

We got Musashi Miyakoto in this bitch??? Author made my bro small like the granny from the dojo haha, are all old ppl in this show just short like a midget or something?🤣

The story kinda moving a lil quick bc I wasn’t expecting Yaiba to be able to wield the Raijinken so quickly I thought it would take at least one more episode before bro could hold it but to my surprise we got him wielding it but at the cost of bro losing his mind so I guess we’re getting get some kind of combination between Yaiba working out his physical strength AND his mental strength, I’m interested in how Miyamoto is gonna train him🔥
