Bellnox Films

https://myanimelist.net/anime/producer/3044/Bellnox_Films

Its founded by Koji Kajita former founder of Gonzo and David Production
Most of the people here are from David Production and they even got The Director Of Jojo working on a monke anime.

Part 6 animation is a downgrade compared to part 5 + stupid release by netflix, i say give it to this new fresh studio since most of the people here are from david pro.

David productions adores the JoJo series, they have handled it with the upmost care and I wouldn't want anyone else to animate JoJo

Stone Ocean is the exception, not the rule. They were probably rushed to finish the episodes by Netflix for the batch release. Anime are rarely ever finished animating when they first air so it caused the animators to cut corners

Watch part 3, 4, and 5 to remember what David Productions is capable of

@AlirezYU That doesn't mean much, Oshi no Ko is a Shueisha manga and Kadokawa was still the main producer for the anime.

But I still doubt there will be any major changes now.

You don't even have a single Jojo anime in your list, why even bother making this thread? Profile looks like your average alt acc just to make random threads, no offense. Also, why would they just change the studio after making every single part so far?

@GTRaijin this is alt acc that became my main due not recovering my old one, my mal list is still incomplete + im lazy, also just like i said there's 0.1% of it happening and leaks say its still david pro.

Bellnox still a good pick because alot of them are from david pro.

No way in hell. Calling the Part 6 animation a "downgrade" is borderline insane. The studio always adapted the parts perfectly and has come a long way. it's their main IP and their biggest project. They won't disappoint us. David Pro all the way!

@Unkreativer Part 6 was a downgrade in comparison to how good Part 5 was adapted. Part 6 only copied the manga while Part 5 gave it life and even addressed some issues the original had. (they gave us 1 minute and half of Narancia's Dance, while Part 6 didn't go to such heights)

It's by far the worst JoJo part in terms of adaptation. But most of it was probably fault of Netflix awful deadlines.

@Unkreativer yes part 6 is a downgrade, part 5 is like peak in terms of animation but i guess due to netflix 6 suffers from production issues.

@CrimsonWanderer of course Part 5 is probably the best adaptation of a Jojo Part until now. But saying the animation of Part 6 was a downgrade? No chance in hell. The first batch? Maybe. The rest? Never. It was so beautifully adapted. And "by far" the worst Jojo adaption? Nah man, we might have different views on this, but I think that is really exaggerated.

Part 6 was beautiful. (Aside from the batch release)

@Mackyreels I actually think that Part 6 (excluding the first batch), had better animtation than Part 5 most of the time. But both do really get close in terms of this.

@Unkreativer The animation on Part 6 is better than part 4, I give you that, however, due to circumstances (Netflix and batch release) this didn't let DP have enough time to be creative and go beyond the bar that Vento Aureo raised. Which means it's a direct downgrade from what was presented in Vento Aureo.

The issue I have with part 6, is that it didn't really improve on the manga other than giving it animation, everything else was just a copy from the manga, including the random cropped character bubbles that appear here and there, these are jarring in Anime format, as well as non important characters being an ugly gray shape and other visual goofs that simply don't translate well into anime (with some exceptions) which lead to the adaptation to feel lazy.

That's why it's a downgrade, up until Part 5, David Production (despite some visual goofs here and there) had set the bar quite high in terms of adapting content, including funny comedy bits and other complementary things that were simply missing on Part 6.

Why are we only now complaining about the animation? David Production will do just fine like they have been for the rest of the series. No need to change studios.

@CrimsonWanderer I do understand your criticism and I agree with you. My only point was that Part 6 does have a really good animation. The flaws through the batch release and the kind of lacking creative diversity like in Part 5, I see why you see it like that. However, I personally think that there wasn't much room to practice that in Stone Ocean. As an adaptation, they're trying to stay true to the manga, however also making creative desicions themselves if they can. But I can't really see what they could have done differently.

To the point of non-important characters being a gray shape/sillouhette:
That was present in the manga and a creative choice by Araki. And as I said, they wanted to stay true to the manga and also are in contact with Araki who supervises some choices they make (like the color of the characters).

I just think that Stone Ocean is so overhated and no one actually respects the work DP has done and how well they adapted the Part (again, aside from the Batch Release, but even that we can't pin on DP). And now some people calling for a new studio is confusing me. DP has grown to a big studio and nearly never disappointed us in any way. The studio is prospering, they are huge Jojo fans, and the Part 6 Ending was a love letter to all fans, as well as Jojo itself.

I say, keep David Production.

This is idiotic and kind of annoying.

David Pro has done a great job with the series and is a large part of the reason why the series became more popular. If you have issues with just part 6, I don't know how someone can then ignore the past success and begin suggesting some random studio to take over after one adaptation you didn't like. It's just dumb.

@Mackyreels did you watch the Last episode of Part 6? I don't think so. It had THE BEST Animation of Jojo. It was Vibrant, Fluid and supple as a Fluffy Cloud, as McQueen say.

Honestly speaking, it's just the release schedule that fked up the Pacing.

the best studio for jojo is david productions, they literally elevated Jojo to worldwide mainstream success, talk of taking Jojo away from them feels almost sacrilegious with that context.
