Damn there is a lot in this years challenge. I got my eyes heavy on Tokyo Higoro, Mahou Shoujo Jihen, and Lonely Girl ni Sakaraenai. Tower Dungeon I fully plan on reading because Nihei but will likely hold off till the physicals drop. <3

Tokyo Higoro is an absolutely wonderful story—almost cried a few times. Although I'm familiar with the anime adaptations, this is my first time experiencing Matsumoto-sensei's work firsthand. Tokyo Higoro is deeply introspective and offers vivid details into the lives of manga creators. I'm glad I bought the physical editions for this this series because of the strong romanticization towards physical print manga. Thank you to everyone for your hard work on this challenge. I ended up reading something that became truly special to me! |

| @Uksi @pgroove I did end up picking it up like I said earlier. I have some divisive thoughts on it but I don’t know where or who to write them to so i hope you don’t mind an another mention. As an update I’m too far into it to stop reading in the middle but I’m not sure whether I even enjoy it or not. Sure the art is good and the main story is fine but I don’t care for the characters at all. I have a hard time remembering their names even while reading, they have such forgettable personalities. The pointed hats read like elitist pricks and the brimhats read like assholes who bully children. |

| Aparenty I dont have the abbility to read and to understand what I am reading. I must have read it several times to understand that single-volume mangas don't count. And I read two of those. The good thing is that I still have time. |

| Is it possible to filter this so only completed manga show up? I've already got around a hundred unfinished manga that I am currently reading, not really interested in increasing this number even further. |
| I had Gokurakugai in my completed list because I read it in 2022 when it was introduced as a one-shot. I noticed that its MAL entry had since been edited from Gokurakugai Sanban-doori no Ken (125448) to Gokurakugai (147874) because it later evolved into a regularly published series. Would I earn the badge if I picked Gokurakugai to read again? |
