"Human, for what purpose do you wield your blade?" He said it! He said it!

As a big fan of the novels, honestly, I'm getting quite worried about the anime adaptation. PV 1 looked absolutely gourgeous, but many shots from this one look unfinished. Characters are out of design or simply don't blend in with the environment.
On the other hand, there are some awesome shots too, so I'm still hoping coping those amateur looking animations will be also fixed.

voice is just exactly as I imagined. Can't wait to see her design.
Yokohama better not fumble (they will), because this beautiful story deserves justice.

Don't expect anything crazy from Studio Yokohama, honestly just watching the second PV it still looked really good, but you can tell that most of the scenes will get average animation. Which is fine for conversational episodes, the action looks fine too, the monsters looked detailed.

I think we'll be okay, this seems like an anime they're genuinely trying on.

@Szabesz as long as the anime doesn't suffer from production problems "taking into account the studio's problems" I'm already satisfied

I haven't seen too many of Yokohama's works, but for the ones I have seen I can tell they at least put in some effort. Animation is usually pretty stiff and can struggle, especially with smaller movements but their art holds up, at least in their "finished" works.
I like to watch some anime, I like to talk about some anime, I dislike wars over some anime, but more than anything I love to live my life, anime is an enjoyable and entertaining addition onto my life but it's not my whole life.

@MewsicMagic yeah, their character designs and background art are always so detailed and you can tell they put a lot of effort into it. but the actual animation is okay. i think this anime should be fine, honestly i'm not expecting anything crazy as long as the story telling is good. i'll enjoy it

The Witch and the Beast also looked great in stills and PVs, but once it started airing it quickly became obvious they bit off more than they could chew... I still enjoyed the show, but the way it moved was frankly embarrassing a lot of the time.

And I haven't seen Whisper Me a Love Song, but the production sounded like an absolute disaster. I know that was a co-production with another studio, but I really see nothing else of note from this studio.

Like others have mentioned, I do think this has a really nice art style, and the premise sounds interesting, but I have zero expectations from the animation side of things.

I'll only stick around if the story grabs me in 2 or 3 episodes...

@spaceman777 It is called Twins Hanamida, but it is deleted from the website for some reason.
It is 95% generated by AI.

@AmirKazeXD Holy shit, there is zero fluidity in the animation, it physically hurts my eyes to look at it. I am not against AI but all of it should be touched up by actual humans......

@gebels some content was skipped. Book 1 has one coherent story which serves as a prologue, so it made sense to adapt it in 1 episode. Book 2 has 3 major stories, all of them needing about an episode. Following the trend, book 3 should be about 3-4 episodes, book 4 is long so it may require 5 episodes. That's one cour. 2nd cour should adapt book 5, 6, 7, the Meiji arc
