Gojo and Marin are married LETS GOOOOOOO. There is a timeskip. We get to see their wedding photos. Their wedding photos look beautiful. Older Marin looks absolutely beautiful. We got one last wholesome and cute Marin and Gojo moment. We then end the chapter with a wholesome moment with Gojo's grandpa and Marin's dad having dinner with Marin and Gojo. It was 20 pages but still felt really short and felt really rushed. Sadly there wasn't any color page for the final chapter. There will be an epilogue chapter. But the treatment does feel weird. The most successful manga of the magazine is ending on such a short notice and they didn't even give it a color page.

Still can't believe the manga ended. We just had the confession a few chapters ago. It was one of my favorite manga even before the anime but some of the middle chapters were really really slow with very little progress. Then the confession chapter happened and it picked back up again. Wish we had gotten more of Marin and Gojo instead of speedrunning it to the ending. But still, it's been a long journey. I'm gonna miss the manga. Thank you Fukuda-sensei.

I'm sad. I really loved this manga. I was hoping since they were finally dating we would have got to see an arc with Marin convincing Gojo to create a cosplay for the both of them to wear to an event.

LOL... wow man, what a horrendous final chapter. I really didn't think author could do something worse than whatever that 50 chapter stretch of nothing until recently was, but yeah, they somehow did. So instead of, you know, showing us the wedding for the FINAL chapter... spend the chapter showing the fam eating sushi, because we wanted to soooo clearly over the wedding.

Never thought this series was ever all that to begin with, and the anime definitely elevated at least what it adapted, but jeez did this series take a turn for the worst afterward. There's better cosplay romcom manga out there... trust me. I have no idea why season two is hyped up, but yeah, it is. If there is one thing I will give it though, man does Marin look good in future, that's for sure.

Overall, a very low 6 on this manga, here's to hoping that the anime skips most of the filler that happened and redeems the ending... but it won't, so.

The most infuriating unfulfilling ending to something actually decent. I'll keep my expectations lower than rock bottom next time for a series like this

Good thing we have an epilogue but this felt so rushed after spending dozens of chapters with no development.
I like to post in manga forum when I feel it is worth it, so people will think. "Shit, is her again" or something.

People asked me where I read certain thing but the rules say no telling where did you read so maybe I am too boring for not saying? Or salty because you didn't check my profile that says don't ask because I hate people to ghost me after that. I love learning languages so maybe I did not read the manga in English.

This final chapter felt sudden but wasn’t bad. At first I thought it was unfulfilling. After thinking about it though it shows them as a happy family after getting married and being successful in their careers. Which I find satisfying and conclusive. Although I think the way the chapter was structured and the mundaneness of the last panel makes it feel unfulfilling in a way?

@IzanaSolos I agree with you, but I think the reason that it ended the way it did, was probably the publisher cancelling the manga (not officially at least). Thus the mangaka rushing the last few chapters. The last 50 chapters has just been stretching the story with no significant developments causing readers to drop it.

It´s a shame it ended the way it did, since it was a decent manga at the start. I really hope S2 of the anime is popular enough to have a third season then by that time hopefully the mangaka can go all-original and changes how it ended. I can only hope the extra and epilogue chapters have something worthy of a finale.

It´s funny how big manga titles in the recent years have been getting utterly shit endings, it sort of feels like there´s a competition between the mangakas of who can make the worst ending. While small manga titles have actually ended with a great finales.

I think it did need another 5 chapters to add more to their relationship as a couple, even a little bit added where Wakana proposes and Marin saying yes, a little bit more Nowa, Marin moving in and a full shot of the wedding outfits.

A 7 year journey over for the Manga and hopefully a full adaptation for S2 with 12-15 episodes.

I did hear that theres going to be an epilogue chapter, hopefully that correct

Nice we got timeskip and marriage. Happy for them. They achieved their dreams.

A fantastic manga about cosplay with one of the sweetest fmc ever. Loved their dynamics and Marin's usual behaviour. She's such a fun character. Gonna miss this and while I would have loved to see more of the couple together I also appreciate author not dragging this. Though I believe it needed some more chapters to properly wrap everything up. Then again most of the plot points have been resolved and very well done at that including the main couple getting together.

Btw think the manga having delays and then being pushed into a monthly slot is probably related to this sudden ending. Maybe sensei is sick or burnt out or something.

That said, gonna miss this. For now looking forward upcoming anime season.

We will most likely never know what was going on behind the scenes but to me this felt like the author either got lost in the sauce and went way to far off track with her plots OR she was told by execs to drag the story out for as long as possible and when enough people jumped ship they told her to wrap it up in 4 chapters and this is what we basically got.

Overall I think anything beyond the anime point was just... fine. Anything after and including the coffin thing was very very meh.

Its finally Over. Not gonna complain too much about the rushed aspect and abrupt ending.
Was i hoping for more and a detailed chapter as well? yea
Even though i am not completely satisfied with it but i am kinda happy with this final chapter. (I almost got jebaited with Gramps picture and feared the worst lol )
THEY ARE MARRIED! LETSGOO . but yea again i needed to see their marriage, proposal ceremony etc. It would make this so much more satisfying.
Anyways all i wanted was gojo and marin to be happily together doing their stuff as a couple, supporting each other & we kinda got it in a very short version
But good to see them together as family, eating dinner etc. Love how marins dad was flexing about gojo to his co-workers. Also marin calming down gojo & the focus on the ring on marins fingers was such a wholesome moment <3
My love & respect to the author for giving us this wonderful series about these two lovable goofballs.

Also hopefully we get some extra chapters like an side/epilogue chapter to give us a little more closure. It would be really nice.
Gonna really miss this series, one of my favorites for sure and especially these two. Cant wait for season 2 <3

I for one am happy that the author didn't fuck this up and, at least kind of, secured their future just in case they want to release another series. Taking a dump on their readers should be the last thing they want.

Was it absolute dogshit 3/10 garbage for the last ~20-30 chapters? Yeah! But the author did the exact same thing as for example the Hokkaido Gals mangaka- realize they put on paper some of the worst stupid nonsense writing in drama + romance manga ever and they pretended it didn't exist, harsh cut and finish off the manga in grace.
Shame that the author wasn't able to push out everything they probably had planned but that is okay. It just wasn't good at all and I hope they get better help from editors or whoever the next time around!

Looking forward to the sidestory and epilogue. Don't really know what either could be about (can't remember even one interesting side char that could use screen time tbh) but as long as it isn't 3 whole chapters, 80 out of 100 panels old men lusting after and falling for a minor while the whole established cast acts out of character I am more than happy to read both of them!

I had a break from this manga for a certain period of time because gojo and marin couldn't be together for a long time I was relaxed and I was able to read and read later on when they got being together.

I guessed more or less that there would be a time jump in this episode before the last episode was released and they would get married, and so did. Some things felt like the story was rushed but I got used to this kind of endings.

We can say a series above average and farewell to the gojo and marin.

Sigh, you will never get used to the ache of a once enjoyable series ending so lackluster. Truly had that axed feeling to it. The saddest part is that it honestly could've been pretty good if instead of spending the last chapters on a misunderstanding, we would've gotten a marriage arc along with everything leading up to this chapter instead. On it's own, it feels like a half assed epilogue to a non existing ending :S

One of the cases where you pray for an anime orginal season 2.

That said, even if the relationship stage of Gojou and Marin dating wasn't focussed on, it was still nice to see them bond in the first place, how they both grew and the cosplay aspect in general was well done.

Yeah, a pretty "okay"-ish finale.
Not what we expected, but we all know that the finale was earlier than planned.

It wasn't a spectacular, romantic, breathtaking, packed finale, but simply Marin, Wakana, and their parents eating. I think finales like that have their place. This is a bit different, and I think it somehow fits the overall tone of the series, which doesn't have any spectacular drama, but is simply carried by the harmony between the two protagonists. In that respect, a finale in which the two Sushis eat and talk is quite fitting.

I'm not sure if we set this as "Completed" now, since an epilogue has been announced, so maybe another chapter 116? I'm excited to see what else is in store for us.

All in all, a very cool series (which may have served as inspiration for "Nitengo jigen no ririsa" or "Dosanko gal wa namara menkoi").
The relationship between Wakana and Marin was definitely one of the most harmonious and non-toxic in manga history.

And with an epilogue chapter and a second season of the anime adaptation still on the horizon, hopefully the two will stick around for a while longer.

I’m sad it’s over, I’m glad the author gave it a nice and happy ending, and I’m disappointed we got a time skip for the last chapter that didn’t really answer any lingering questions or wrap up loose plot lines.

I really think another five or six chapters would have helped wrap it up nicely, even if there was a time skip in like the second to last chapter or something or even better two time skips: one going forward to the end of high school and showing some of that for like two or three chapters and the second skipping ahead to just a bit before where the final chapter went and have two or three chapters leading up to that specific moment.

Basically all the good interpersonal development between Marin and Wakana with how things had changed with them was stolen from us… ::sigh:: oh well, still a great series and I love it.

While this isn’t one of my first manga, I’ve been reading manga since the 90s, I do feel you very much on the feeling that something is now missing.

Thankfully we can always reread it. And hopefully Fukuda-Sensei will bless us with a new series full of the same love, care, and quality of our beloved series.

Either Fukuda wanted to not do it anymore or it was axed by the studio.
What other answer can there be to such an abrupt ending?

So what did we get

- off screen relationship as a whole
- off screen high school end
- off screen marriage
- off screen moving in together
- off screen living together
- off screen model career
- off screen Hina Doll perfection

Still ridiculous that her Angel saga went nowhere, especially now as a professional model (!!!) someone would catch up to how alike she looks.
We didn't see him make a single Hina Doll.
Worst of all, they are still doing cosplays, just you know off screen.

Is this the typical RomCom cancer? Authors not capable to show relationships and only ever the journey to the relationship?

This series could've ended far better with an additional 15 chapters. Hell 10 chapters. Or even just 5.

1/5 show them doing couple stuff, exploring Japan, which Wakana has never done. You can even teach Marin to swim in that chapter.
2/5 show their high school days ending, bring their class mates to a close.
3/5 show the Hina Doll success and perhaps even a few cosplays.
4/5 Wedding.
5/5 This chapter.

I missed the final chapter message on chapter 114 and was taken aback that this was the last chapter. It just doesn't feel right. If anything chapter 114 feels more like an ending and this is the epilogue.

What bothers me the most is that I thought something was going to come from the whole Princess debacle. I would have assumed that Marin would get recognized at future events leading to something, or that guy who was digging through Twitter would connect the dots. We also never see Gojou make a doll. Its his life's work and we never see it, not even the TV segment.

I enjoyed the story overall, this but the Coffin Arc and this ending have soured my opinion of it.

That was a boring final chapter, very bland actually, the picture show a litle from the wedding and grandpa (that was a close one xd), but the chapter show nothing more, nothing from their friends, nothing about the type of Hina Dolls gojo make, just a picture of what Marin do, if you tell me this was a bonus chapter and no the final, then this chapter could be a relaxing one, but it is not.

It was a good manga, with a lot more to show after the confession. About Gojo, it's a shame we did not get more about the dolls and his path to be a master.

A disappointing ending to a good series. I get that it had to end eventually and the ending we got was more or less what I expected from the romcom genre. The problem is I had an expectation of 1 or 2 more story arcs. The "Everyone is searching for Haniel" arc. The fact that Marin is effectively a ghost with that costume is a major narrative loose end and it doesn't help that Wakana responded to Tokio and Marin was scouted by a cosplay agency, both of which went nowhere. Maybe Fukuda is looking to move into a sequel series that fills in the time between chapters 114 and 115, and judging by Marin's home studio there was a LOT more cosplay to happen, but I don't think it's going to happen, not with that side series going on.

The only explanation I can rationalize is that Fukuda was getting bored with the series and wanted it done before he ruined. Dosanko Gal and Gal Gohan both kinda did the same thing with an abrupt ending, but neither had major plot threads left unresolved. Bisque Doll's ending just leaves me with a "That's it?" kinda feeling.

Man that feels just bad, 7 years following it, waiting for the new release each time.

When we finally get to see Marin and Gojo dating, Fukuda could actually focus on cosplay as she stated she would have liked to do, but she decided to just finish everything, not cosplay, not dating, not anything, everything is over.

7 years and we don't have much information about Marin's background, the heck, not even about Marin herself.

Really, that was way too rushed it crumbles my heart.

i’m not sure how to feel ….. it’s nice to see our two main characters married, but unfortunately it just doesn’t feel like much. we saw close to nothing of their romantic relationship once they got together, it doesn’t feel very fulfilling seeing a rushed time-skip marriage. unfulfilling is a word i can use to describe basically all of this final chapter. the goals for these characters have been thrown out of the window. we didn’t get to see a single hina doll of gojos, not to mention how little we truly know about who marin is. i could waffle more but i think it’s easier to conclude that this ending was incredibly rushed. there were so many things left to be explored that were dropped in favour of this. it’s sad to see as an avid fan, but it is what it is i guess.

Yea, this was disappointing.
It started strong, but the middle dragged on for at least 20 chapters too long.
The ending just left unresolved plot points everywhere with a time-skip that feels out of left field.
Overall this needed another 10 chapters or so to properly wrap up.
It had a lot of wasted potential.

Admittedly it is a rushed wrap-up, but efficiently done. We did not see how they got married, and they even baited what happened to Grandpa Gojou, but we see at the end that the passion in life they had, continued to the future and technically, they are all know one family who understands each other.
Overall this manga had a good run and momentum, especially during its first half. Had really great art and depiction of a slice of life genre and a nice integration of romcom element. It did suffer during the Winter Comiket Arc probably when they changed the release pattern (such issues among other things) but still, I am looking forward to the epilogue they mentioned, and to any works Fukuda Shinichi will release in the future.

5/10.

The series clearly was a passion project about cosplay with hints of romance, but success and possibly pressure from the editorial made the artist burn out, and we ended up with this, a rushed ending with half the manga being pointless filler.

Hopefully season 2 of the anime cuts all the pointless arcs and they end up the series with a movie/epilogue, like Takagi-san did. As for the manga, it geniunely went downhill as it became a huge hit.

Are we Serious right now ????

Okay , one of the very good things is Gojo and marin are now Married Couples [which is very much expected], Both Marin and Gojo Career are on the rise , like Marin become an established name and Same with Gojo kun too .. The Family bonding is increasing in Gojo and Marin family As expected , okk ..

Bad things :
What is wrong with the ending of chapter ???? They were having dinner at Wakana house and chapter ends with HAHAHAHA... Thats it ... I really thought that this chapter will end with Showing us Hina Dolls that Wakana made .... , The Ending was pretty rushed ..

There should be an epilogue chapter for the further details ...

Tbh, this series ends on my birthday [21 MAR] and it feels like it's not a satisfactory gift , like suddening announcing ch 115 will be the last chapter last month and when last chapter came , it was pretty rushed .... Overall, 3/5 to the last chapter and as a series 8/10 ... Very good Series ... ngl ..
