Whatever language you speak would you prefer to watch the anime in that perticular language dub (ofc given the regional dub is actually good enough) or you still prefer japanese dub with subtitles?

I would watch dub if it is was accurate, but that is pretty unlikely given corporate influence in the west. The west is filled with dei consultants to ruin that freedom of expression.

better and more regional dubs in languages other than English would be nice.
You can buy lossless digital music from your favorite Japanese artists on https://ototoy.jp/.
The songs are all DRM-free and you can re-download your purchased albums as you wish.
Show your support to your favorite artist if you can!
ps. if you are looking for Japanese albums, you have to search it in Japanese (not romaji). Just copy and paste the name.

Heck no I watched anime in french as kid and compared to English or original Japanese it's just horrendous. Especially the problem is which one do the dubbing France or Quebec because it's not the same french and it would require more useless logistics.

The idea never occurred to me before... I don't watch English dubs, but I'd be more open to trying a dub in my first language.

It might be because my first language is more closely related to Japanese than the English language is.

I'll probably still choose sub over any of the dubs, though. For the simple reason that anime should sound Japanese.

No I watch anime because it's Japanese. I want to hear Japanese voice actors/actresses period.

What if the Japanese VAs were fluent in English and also performed the dubbing?

If dubs were actually being made in my language, not to mention accessibility for my country than sure I would, not only that I've already watched a couple newer anime with dub ex. Cyberpunk, Romantic Killer, Black Clover movie [it wasn't good so I switched to original quickly], High Score Girl and one or two more but I don't remember the names.

I prefer the most crappy ORIGINAL version over masterpiece dub.

But to be clear - it also includes chinese stuff like Kings Avatar or Link Click - watching those with japanese voices is exactly same "crime" as watching anime with english dub.

For shows a lot is going on and a lot of long winded dialogue a good dub might be better but other stuff id still rather the sub since I like the sound of Japanese and feels more suthentic and I pick up on some words now so i dont have to keep my eyes glued to subs when a more simple show

Reading subtitles is extra work so dub, if it's good, which is not always the case. I wish Mononoke had a dub.

I'm really enjoying the performance of seiyuus for my favorite shows, so I think I'll always prefer japanese dub with subtitles :)

I would probably watch more (or some) dubs if they weren't all done by American actors; certainly my wife would. Leaving aside the accent itself, the US has no class of professional voice actors worth a damn. The best you can hope for is that an anime might use a "real" actor for a voice but even a movie actor isn't quite the same thing as a professional voice actor.

And British actors don't help much even though we have lots of professional radio actors because it seems that localisation directors always tell them to put on the corniest Cockney Geezer (or broadest Glasgow) voice they can manage with the result that it sounds like a parody to anyone who actually is British.

Plus, doing a good translation of Japanese into European languages is inherently very hard. It's a very fast language so lip-sync is difficult, and there's a lack of shared assumptions or root words which make some concepts just hard to translate, especially into the fast mouth movements.

So I don't think there's much hope of ever getting a decent English dub. Panty and Stocking is the one exception where the American dub really goes up to 11 in a way that suits the action, even if the translation is very loose indeed but in this case it doesn't matter.

The ideal, of course, is to learn Japanese and not use sub or dub.

I always prefer japanese dub with subtitles, because I love to hear how it sounds. In Italy we have a lot of good voice actor, so sometimes I try give it a chance (generally when I have to watche with someone who doesn't like to read subtitles).

I would be interested in hearing more non-English or Japanese dubs, so I would be down for giving some a try if they exist and are of good quality.

They would have to employ English people rather than Americans for that to work for me. Even then I think I would prefer the Japanese dub

If the original audio is available, I would always go for the original audio. Never a dub from another language. A lot of times they go too liberal in certain clips from what I see in random anime, don't get me started on dubtitles outside the anime medium such as video games.

never, they are a few anime dubbed in Polish on Netflix for example and I don't like it. Not saying It's bad - as I can't fully know, because I didn't watch anime with it for more than a minute, still It's uncanny after watching anime in japanese for 9-8 years. I read subs since I was 13[?] or so and it was never a problem, so I will stand by them.

Regional dub is usually much worse than English dub and I'm not even into Eng dub, I almost always watch in JP dub Eng sub.

Most modern Dubs are good but alot of older Dubs i've noticed the VA are nothing like the japanese ones or if they alter the story or dialogue to much i don't like it.

I'll stick to either sub or raw, I don't like dubs. Besides JP dub is convenient to me since I can sit in the living room and watch anime without earphones and no one understands what's being said.

In my country we are so used to sub for everything so dub would feel out of place, also most of the time the original version just feels right

It's more accurate to say subtitles for any media entertainment are intended for "tourists" who don't understand the language they are trying to listen to. Either way who cares, let people enjoy Anime what ever way they want. I doubt even better regional dubs of Anime would change much of anyone's opinion that they might already hold about such things.

Back in my home country I watched some old children's anime in Mandarin. But ever since I moved to Europe and watched anime in original Japanese language with accurate subs, I never went back to dub at all. Listen to some English dub is rather...strange. Either the emotions are wrong or the script went over-liberal and stayed away from the original Japanese dialogue.

Hmmm...

I like way dialogues are created in Japanese.
It's impossible to translate everything literally.
I'd still be curious and wanted to know how it was in original.

I like the sound of Japanese language and I have lot of favorite seiyuu.
Sometimes I watch some anime just because my favorite seiyuu is in it 😆

I tried to watch some anime in my language, but after a few minutes I stopped.
The only one dubbing that I liked is for Howl no Ugoku Shiro, but still I watched it after watching it with japanese dubbing.

So I guess I would still probably prefer subs.
And if it was possible later rewatched it with dubbing.

I prefer subtitles.
I tried to watch with regional dub, I tried with English dub, but no. It's not for me. I can't endure it. Even watching donghua with original sound takes some time from me to get used to it. Also I can understand some Japanese, so I can see/hear when translation is incorrect and know what was said for real.
I apologize for my mistakes, because it's not my native language.

If I had to choose Japanese is nice, but Dub is also nice so if both are available, im going with the option of having both.

To me, sub and dub varies. I mostly watch sub these days but there are times where I watch dub such as:
-FMAB
-Cowboy Bebop
-Samurai Champloo
-Naruto
-Black Lagoon
-Michiko and Hatchin
-Dragon Ball
-Code Geass
-Death Note
If I had to choose between One Piece and a girlfriend...I think I'll go with One Piece
