Well, it's time to speculate about what it will turn out to be in the end. Does anyone already have any assumptions or even just expectations? I've always been open about how I don't like the new trend of "adapting" defunct CGDCT manga from PAWORKS (the guys decided to take over Doga Kobo's niche after they became Kadokakwa's new studio or what?), but considering how divine the NNB anime was, I'm willing to give this a chance. Obviously, this will be another CGDCT, but will they also be wholesome or at all somehow reminiscent of Byori besides the genre?

Quro (of Koisuru Asteroid fame and future artist for the series' comic adaptation) said the story is about a female college student who loves food. The tagline for the project ''Cute x Delicious = the Strongest Meal'' suggests that this anime is going to be about foodie girls.

@Avvenirista Thanks for the insight! Now I have two questions. Can this be considered a hint at all-female food porn and will they also write a script for the anime?

Yeah, I think this work will be mostly about girls making and eating dishes. I don't fully understand your second question, but the original story for this anime comes from Atto, the author of Non Non Biyori.

@Avvenirista That is, this is actually a collaboration between the original author and the team that worked on the adaptation of his hit? But then why did they entrust the adaptation of the show to another mangaka? I have nothing against Asteroid, but in my opinion, they are very different in concept of work.

The teaser video says that Atto, one of the two directors (Kawatsura) and the person in charge of music (Mizutani) come from the Non Non Biyori anime projects so the anime staff for this new work doesn't have the entire Non Non Biyori anime adaptation staff working on it.

I don't follow what you're saying about Quro because what they're doing here is the norm for comic adaptation. Plus, Atto didn't draw the Haifuri manga (Abe Kanari is still drawing it on Comic Alive).

@Avvenirista I understand, I just initially thought that he was also writing the anime script. Since I am used to the fact that if the writer of the original anime is a mangaka or an LN author, then they themselves are responsible for the novelization, as was the case with Yaku and Jellyfish or Nagatsuki and his original anime.
