Prefacing this by saying the final episode was very well done. The Rin and Sae 1v1, really the whole final sequence looked great. Maybe it was a budget thing (highest selling manga could have a higher budget?), maybe it was a time constraint thing, but one thing is for sure - it’s extremely disappointing to see what the studio was capable of for that one 7-8 minute sequence when the rest of Blue Lock’s best arc looked how it does. I’m not saying the entire match should have been animated that way, but the jarring difference between the good majority of this arc and the final minute of the game, while really hype to watch in the moment, just disappoints me in the end. Because it’s a glimpse of that exciting match being given what it deserved, if only to try and mitigate the extremely lackluster animation that came before it. One good looking scene does not cancel out all the crap that came before, which ends up being pretty disappointing.

unfortunate that it took them 13 episodes to discover what 2d animation is

@Riz_III It's not the animators fault tbh. It's just the production company giving them the shittiest timeframes and expecting good results. This is what happens when any other company other than MAPPA pulls a 'MAPPA' and overworks their staff to the highest degree.

Totally agree with you, I definitely don’t blame the animators themselves for this shit at all, it’s 100% a time and quality of life issue. Better production schedule = more productive workers = better quality of final product. Then maybe people will buy more stupid BluRays, but idk no real change is going to happen until a series stops making money bc of it

you know, I didn't see it as a bad thing. frankly, I was thankful hahaha I loved that the final match-up was animated differently because it was a pivotal moment for a number of reasons. OMG, IM STILL SO HYPED!!! I literally just finished rewatching it, and I'm definitely needing to make a video on it just to calm the F down lmfao

Producers wanted to make quick cash. So, they rushed the team and made a mess. I'll admit that I enjoyed this season. But, as you said, it's a big disappoinment that this important arc got slideshow treatment untill the last episode.

I agree that the last half of the final episode was peak. However, don't justify the whole show just because of that. There shouldn't have been any budget problem. If the production team was given enough time, we might have gotten a masterpiece.

question: Are you telling me not to justify the season, or are you saying the final episode doesn't justify the season?

@NegativeRei

lmfao, I never said it justified the whole series. if you meant it in general, cool. if you meant it personally, you don't have to worry about my opinion or enjoyment of something. you're right, there shouldn't have been budget problems, but there were, and it's disappointing, yes.
