Angélica carried this show and she's the best girl.

Haruka even got a wife, and still claims to be a loner, lol.

I mean, being loner is more a state of mind, but Haruka doesn't seem to embodies that concert.

It was a pretty mid show to watch between my work shifts...

One thing that I didn't like, though, was the lack of commitment... like there was no goal, nor any plot got a well executed development. Also, there were no stakes to it, either.

I'm not an obligatory romance fan, but why made things implicit and never make a once of development?

In the end, Haruka was indeed another overpowered mc, pretending to be weak.

Angélica best girl.
Class Rep... I don't know, she's more like a waking cliché, so I don't have any thoughts about her.

The rest is just NPCs.

Overall I was disappointed in this adaptation. Early on I kind of agreed with them skipping most of the forest training where Haruka learned how to use his skills as it was fairly standard isekai stuff. It did mean he seemed to be pulling random skills out of nowhere all the time, but it’s such a trope for the isekai protag to have OP skills it was perhaps funnier to skip all that.

Where I did feel it fell down compared to the light novels was missing a lot of the humour. For example, Haruka would go to the guild everyday and complain to the staff that the quests never change. In return they would ask him why he even cares when his level means he’s not even allowed to be an adventurer! He’d then get lectured by the class rep for upsetting the guild staff.

Haruka’s eccentricity was mostly missing too, where he’d get completely the wrong idea about something and no amount of explaining would get him to understand (or he’d forget right after it was explained). Like when he renamed the inn they were staying at much to the owners’ distress.

That said, I liked the character designs of Haruka and his classmates, especially Mean Girl A, Class Rep and Miss Armour Rep. I would definitely like to see the adaptation continue, but it would be nice if they could try to keep more of the humour.

Could be better with a little bit logic about levels... now low level being OP'est out of all.... and logic of some dungeon stuff also makes no sense... yeah it's anime and isekai, but stilll.... if levels are there, why to literally throw them out of the window?

Angelica is best girl, Class rep is easily worst girl, she out-bitched the gyarus and that says a lot

pretty generic show overall, the jobs and cheat skills are so loose making the power system soft and convenient

Truely disappointed with this adaption. They should've fucked the last episode. Dont get me wrong its not that i think its important, but sex is litteraly the corner stone of the story. I hope there isnt a second season unless the company producing it grows a pair and sticks closer to the source material.

For a loner, Haruka was way too smooth at dealing with Angelica this final episode. The bath scene, the sitting on the bed scene, and then even holding her hand like its a natural thing to do on their way back. I really liked the romance angle they were going for, but it strongly contradicted the whole shows premise. He went out of his way to emphasize how much of a loner he is and then just casually made friends with most of the class. Felt a bit contradicting.

Mildly enjoyed this show overall. Really liked some of the girls from class, like the fish girl or the gal who had a pulse with nerds. They had many opportunities to add depth and develop but unfortunately took it nowhere. Loved the ED.

For those who are dissatisfied with the fact that mc-kun is so lucky and that he is always lucky and that he always gets Deus ex machinas, have you forgotten that he has maxed out his luck from the very beginning? And in general, I really liked how they immediately and clearly laid out the essence of the anime without any prelude, and didn't start inventing a certain backstory, but immediately and clearly laid out the foundation for the story. After they threw the hero out, he started to move the plot forward, something reminiscent of a recent anime about the ogre, maybe the author was inspired by that, creating all this survival in the forest and loneliness. Also reminiscent of the slime tamer who opened his laundry with the slimes, I can't remember the name, but in general it is a definitely good anime, just not for everyone. The rating is definitely much more conservative than it should be. When I started watching it, I really enjoyed it, even experienced some nostalgia on isekai. Even reasonable, where the mc-kun is not a milksop, fighting with himself, but with the fun of living by his own principles, also the classmates in this anime are not some two-faced losers, but normal guys, finally isekai where the classmates are more or less friendly, not trying to kill each other or scheming (at least that much). God bless them, so they can recreate the Japanese diaspora there after a few generations.

I came into this series late and just binged it all in one go, so I'm going to summarize my thoughts up until this point.

Pretty unreasonable for the gal group to blame the otaku group for picking a fight, basically victim blaming. Would they prefer to be on the receiving end of rape? Because that was the alternative if the otaku group hadn't stepped in. Dumb bimbos. But at least they realized their mistake and owned up to it, so they deserve credit for that since many people refuse to admit they were wrong.

It's interesting how Haruka's cave mansion looks better than the Lord's mansion in town. I get the earth+compounding magic, but how did he do the upholstery and bedding for the furnishings?

I'm glad the delinquent group would-be rapists / attempted murderers were stopped early on...they must have thought they were in an eroge genre. I'm even more glad that they're definitively dead...and by extension, also the homicidal murderer Tanaka who would be a school shooter if he were American. For a "math genius" he was quite the dumbass, using 1+1 to prove his point...I would have expected him to pull out the advanced calculus at minimum.

When Haruka had the chance to take a cheap shot with his stick from Tanaka underestimating and walking past him, he should have taken it. Missed an opportunity for the element of surprise. Even after winning, I would have done something else to confirm his death like decapitating or crushing his spinal cord from the neck, because you never know when an antagonist with cheat skills is truly dead in a fantasy world as they may still have an ace up their sleeve just like the protagonist has plot armor.

Angelica coming back to life is waifu material. But I guess that would make class rep-chan the losing heroine, despite having known him since elementary school, he barely even remembers her name, which the same can be said for all the characters who get nicknames based on their clique.

Overall, not the best, but not the worst series. A good time-waster. In hindsight, I think I made the right decision to binge it, because with the slow pacing, I could play it at 1.5 speed and watch it just fine. Although for a series with topics like rape and homicide, it sure went pretty slap-stick with the story and art style. I doubt it'll get a 2nd season, and I think I'd prefer that over a studio wasting resources when they could be working on something better...because the score it currently has on MAL sounds about right.

classrep struggle but nice to finally give them space.
Wholesome 'loner' pair just talking and having cute moments. Cool sparring fight.
Most the class cast quite pointless or annoying. The nerds & jocks were good tho. Haruka, classrep & Angelica did turn out fun & interesting as mains.

I felt the same. The comedic nature of the story was lowered by several levels. While I thought Haruka's point of view in the Light Novel could be absolutely annoying to read the way it was written, it still gave the story a unique type of humour. Alot of awkward and ridiculous skills they acquired also added to the humour - but they were never mentioned. The adult aspect was also cut out and many scenes were just removed, which were exciting enough to read for me.

I didn't think the adaption was that bad, especially pacing-wise it was so much better compared to other adaptions. But the adapation kinda turned it into a different anime.

LOL

So all the rare items he found while traveling back up the dungeon combined gave Angelica back her "LIFE"

(Nice coincidences, LOL, not to mention the "order of items obtained", if it was in reverse, the curse would have still been there)

Happy for Angelica that she isn't stuck in a dungeon anymore.

Even more Happy for the MC, since he's no longer "tied down" by other people and can go on adventures by himself.

.

Also, as mentioned in previous thread, "Loner" isn't what most people think in this series. (where someone stays by themselves with no friends)

Haruka pointed out that he thinks everyone is a "Loner" in someway, even tho we know the girls are all friends and always travel together.

What Haruki's version of "Loner" is as I mentioned, "Individuality". Meaning everyone has their own Pros, Cons and Issues they're facing that they have to go through by themselves, conquer their fear or to progress and grow.

Meanwhile Haruka himself just as the episode ends, symbolizes "Loner" as "master the [Isekai] world by myself"

.

It's a shame that Angelica had only one chapter of development without her armor.

Yea, and we didn't really get to see her frontal naked body, only the back side with fog. Tho Angelica got a full view of Haruka when he stood up in the bath, LOL.

But Haruka being a "Loner" that isn't interested in romance, didn't really do anything with Angelica even tho there were plenty of chances for him to do so. (IE: Bath, Bed, in the Woods)

This anime may look like a fun adventure and wholesome anime at first glance well oh boy it caught me off guard I didn't expect it to have deaths here and there so you can say it has its dark side although it wasn't really the main focus of this anime anyways it's pretty good isekai and I wouldn't mind it having another season

So the final episode ended up being a date between them and the class rep just openly endorsed it as well, what a series. I thought she was mute but seems like she can talk and she says thank you to Haruka. What a series, soft romance style in the end

SO far so good. I like it! ^<^ RPG adventuring with a dash , a HINT of slow life :P. Always seems weird when I see a character or guy irl with the name "Haruka", but I suppose its been getting more "unisex" over in the modern age. HE DOESNT EVEN HAVE A LAST NAME, WTF?! ROFLOLMFAO The slow life sub genre of Fantasy Isekai anime has improved when I see shows like this. It deceived me into thinking it was a true slow life though lol, but it perfectly kept increasing the rpg adventure, stats and all the good old fashioned loot/item GATHERING! MAnga is still ongoing, and wiht a decent amount of chapters, THERES ALMOST GUARANTEED TO BE A 2nd SEASON WITHIN A YEAR OR TWO! 7.5/10 ^~^ well made, good feel enjoyable show! WE ARE BACK TO RARE FORM BAYBAY! HIgh rewatch value! ^<^

The secret is out and Haruka and the class knows Angelica has a human form again. She's a powerful warrior with an adorable side. Her revival was one big lucky coincidence, so having difficulty speaking again isn't too bad of a side effect.

Nice speech from Haruka at the end about loners. Everyone gets a bit lonely, but the path of a loner is all in the mentality. Even if your surrounded by a lot of friends and acquaintances.

He did a lot of cool things for only being level 18 at the end of this season. I'd watch a season 2 to see what happens to him and the class next!

I have to say, unlike most, I don't really care for majority of "couples" in Anime since they feel artificial and forced. Very few (and I can count them on one hand) anime couple actually feel "real enough", and I think Angelica and Haruka actually give that vibe.

The show itself was alright, the "loner" theme is a bit.. meh but I think many misunderstood it as a "shut in" (most loners just like to enjoy a chill life happily by themselves, but don't hate human contact). I feel like they could've named this anime something else and not relied on the loner bit alone (but kept it as part of MC's personality). I would've given it 5/10 but Angelica bits were actually nice enough to make me give this 7/10.

Better than most of the overrated trash anime for the past few months.
