We've probably all seen the epic Whispers of Dawn and the First Episode of Strange Fake by now, and with Witch on the Holy Night in development by Ufotable as a movie. It got me thinking, what's gonna be next. Will it be a Lostbelt anime? Or perhaps a Tsukihime anime based on the Visual Novel remake. With perhaps a potential two shows one for both heroines. Again they could do a Redline series, that always seems a popular pick. There's also a possibility that Fate/Extra Record of Samurai Remnant get a Anime Adaptation. Samurai Remnant also has the benefit of Jenna Alter being a servant in that war, and she's a mighty popular servant to. Again this is just pure speculation but I'd like to here what everyone else is thinking. |

@Memore I swear Nasu just said... he isn't looking to green light a remake at this time. It was during the 20th Anniversary showcase - lots of disappointed comments on the live stream. So your second choice? |

As I played Fate GO and I'm up to date with it on US servers, I would love to see all singularities get any kind of adapation, mostly cuz I want to see my random ahh husbandos animated and there's many to be seen. Still I'm happy with anything from Fate getting an adaptation. |

@AnimePedestrian, I hope that in future they make Saber route ufotable anime then! Second is Tsukihime of course, also from ufotable! |

One of the weaknesses in Fate seems to be the lack of story-lines separate from the games. Fate/Extra Record is being released as a game, so just like with FGO it comes out and then they adapt these games... I would prefer if they went a route with the anime, and based the games off loose threads from the anime rather than vice-versa. The other problem with adapting these games is the characters... Fate used to have a reasonable # of characters to follow. Now there are hundreds? There are so many playable servants it has lost all meaning now. And all these alternate versions and alternate routes & timelines.. it's not a story anymore it's just a massive gaming franchise with a very loose theme. It would be better if they made sequels of the earlier anime. I want to see Astolfo in another grail war, and Saber Miss Arturia, Iskandar and Waver (head of magic school Waver) and what happens with the relationships to some of the characters from Apocrypha (like Uncle Gord, and that homunculus girl who totally wasn't a love interest; what happens when all the characters from Shirou's world including Rin, are old. Like a Next Gen story... but none of that will happen, it's just a game franchise with hardly anything recognizable anymore. |

@Lucifrost Well I mean, you learn a lot about Caules & Fiore Forvedge and how they become mages, I appreciated the backstory about the pet dog and its meaning; I wish they had given more info about the Musik family, who according to Gord were an important family on par with the main families... But it expects you to derive the Servants' from their legends on your own; which I sort of liked... their weaknesses and wishes are implied by their known tragedies- no reason for them to reexplain the Greek heroes Chiron & Achilles, or Atalantae etc or William Shakespeare- although Astolfo's legend is much less known, and they took advantage of the vagueness to say, let's make him a pink haired femme boy who is all cheerful and energetic... brilliant! |

@FZREMAKE I think it go for me; Hollow Atraxia as number 1 after the ones already announced Then I'd go Tsukihime Piece of Glass Moon adaptation Then third Fate/Stay Night remake with the 'final ending' From there I mean Lord El Melloi Adventures would be awesome After that I'm pretty chill with all the following to; Then Fate/Redline Possibly do Extella and Extella Link And Prototype series There is the Fate/Labyrinth and there's another Fate set around Norse mythology and characters in the Apocrypha Timeline They could also go bold and do a Fate original anime series; that could be good as it be something none of us could really predict. All new characters, servants, grail war system. |

@Lucifrost It stretches the truths of, of the legends of, the epic heroes a great deal. But you think only Apocrypha do this- I think the whole idea of Arturia since Fate/Stay Night being King Arthur as a woman is itself kind of ridiculous, especially how they tried to make a backstory of Mordred calling the woman "father" (which was in Apocrypha) and that just didn't work. But despite the awkwardness of trying to explain this gender swap with lore; we all still accept Arturia and love the character anyway. |

Tsukihime by ufotable is inevitable might not be for another 5+ years before its even announced and certainly at least not until Red Garden drops. Outside of that just getting potential Mahoyo sequels would be nice or getting the Mahoyo movies period this century(even if the VN already is cinematic enough and with content that will be assuredly be cut from the movies). As far as anything FGO and other spin-offs not overly interested as Bablyonia and Apocrypha were pretty lackluster to say the least. Having the cardboard main character makes anything FGO related a tough sell for me. Maybe Fate Redline might be the most intriguing of this category although I don't know a whole lot about it. Nobunaga and Okita are pretty dope. |

@joemaamah I certainly wouldn't try and change your opinion although I always find it odd when someone comes in to a thread about anything they don't like just to add a comment that doesn't really contribute to anything at all related to the topic. I guess the engagement that I'll mildly oblige with for a single post is probably the goal for most of these. But seeing the Vash pfp mixed with the aforementioned definitely painted a picture of you probably also hate Stampede and I find it amusing of how easily readable people like you are just based on a few simple observations. Respect for the favorite character taste sans Frieren(I'll at least say that she's the best of a pedestrian cast in a good show for sure) and Yor though. |

@joemaamah Ok I'll bite this isn't really a thread of fanboys/fangirls you're projecting a bit there seemed to me nothing more than a question for people who like type moon to see what they would be interested in seeing animated next. Hell I myself stated I have little to no interest in the mediocre slop that is some of the fate spin offs and fgo related shows. I might agree with the differing opinion sentiment but I would say that "That it goes far away and never returns" offers nothing in the way of reasoning or opinions as to why you feel that way, so I'd be hard pressed to call it that. Closer to a bait response than it is an actual formed opinion. I'd agree that Stampede started a bit slow but in my opinion the second half especially the last few episodes were great and setup the interest for the second part perfectly. So at least I can say that's more than most Stampede haters would admit so respect for that. Most of them didn't even watch the first episode or called it shit for the 3d or some nonsensical reason like some half baked character like Milly not being there. Which oddly enough I think it becomes clear pretty quickly that Meryls personality, Millies appearance, and Vash's personality were being setup to develop for the next part and sure enough the last episodes confirm that so I guess an unfortunate miss from that lot. Closing note I'd also say that most OG Trigun fans really have their blinders on when acting like the show wasn't all over the place and only had one impactful moment in it's entirety being the Wolfwood scene. As much as Trigun OG will always be one of my favorites, I also can't just pretend that the ending didn't make a whole lot of sense either. Still OG Trigun ep 1 will always be one of my favorite character intros/ep 1s of all time along with Hellsing and Samurai Champloos ep1 introductions. |

@SuperAdventure Fans love Saber (I don't) because Nasu put effort into writing her character. Fate/Stay Night doesn't rely on preexisting knowledge of Queen Arthur which as you say is a ridiculous backstory. |

@Syrian187 See? We have differing opinions and it's added to the discussion. Want a better formed opinion on the Fate franchise? OK. Fate Zero was fair, but I wouldn't have called it great. Decent art and animation. Really good characters that I'd wished have been a little better fleshed out. The narrative was interesting enough. Thought some of the direction as regards character interactions was stilted. Not horrible but could have been a lot better. I tried a couple of the other titles in the franchise, and frankly found them cut and paste. I didn't make much more than 3 and out with any of them. So I have no interest in delving into the Fate-verse any further. And if you want to know about my assessment of Stampede, I wrote a comprehensive review of it, which you can find on my profile. I recently rewatched Champloo for the umpteenth time and reviewed that here as well. Check that out, if you care to. BTW, I read your review. It was pretty good. You should write more of them. |

@SuperAdventure I mean to be fair, Achilles and Chiron are like super close to the legend. Shakespeare is certainly eccentric but it makes him more interesting to watch. Astolfo - the paladin in his story really did lose his sanity and dress in drag. Mordred as the 'son' of king Arthur but both being chicks - I chalk that up to it being anime. Cu Culainn is a badass, checks out with the legend being a total badass. Gilgamesh is the same. Dark Knight was purely that way for the twist in Zero. So most of it all makes sense. Will say Jack the Ripper finally getting justice in his new interpretation. Loli Jack was so... Mid |

@Syrian187 Oh, it definitely contributes. Opposite opinions over the simpering of fanboys/girls always adds to a discussion. Yes there can be other valid opinions.
And yes, except for the last couple episodes, Stampede totally sucked.

@Syrian187 I made the thread purely to see what direction the fans hope to go in. More so say three or four years from now hopefully Aniplex hasn't totally botched the direction and are doing something barely anyone wanted like Singularity 5 or something XD. @joemaamah I'm kindof a hardcore Type Moon fan. Like I play Grand Order, play some of the games, I watched the scuffed 20th livestream for 6 hours before finally being among the first to see Strange Fake as it aired on YouTube. So uncharitably I'm a fanboy. But circling back to point one as a result I prefer to catch the communities takes, as I'll happily watch Extella Link the anime but I imagine most other fans would groan and roll there eyes if that was announced. And luckily the Type Moon fan base isn't afraid of giving opinions. There's like factions, Ufotable stans, Zero purists, Visual Novel elitist, Gilgamesh wannabes, during the live stream there was a Deen apologist as well. So the fanbase isn't like say Re;Zero or Dragon Ball where the next thing must clearly be worshiped. Type Moon fans are like Gundam fans - they all have there favourite shows, and those opinions colour there hopes for the next projects. |

@AnimePedestrian Nothing wrong with being a fanboy, as long as you have solid reasons behind your fandom, and you're not just another lemming leaping off the hype cliff. And being a fanboy doesn't mean you have to like everything the producers lay down. TBH I'm a Bungo Stray Dogs fanboy. But I thought the last season was absolutely horrible. I found out that wasn't a real popular opinion. Too bad. I stated my reasons in my review, and left it at that. Good thing there were no trees around, I might have been crucified! @AnimePedestrian Oh yes I totally agree, I thought the portrayals were really good and fun; and love Astolfo. I didn't know he had gone insane or done drag; I had only ever read the Wikipedia entry on him which wasn't very detailed back then. But I do think the legends were stretched a bit for entertainment purposes (as they should be) The Mordred/King Arthur thing made me cringe real hard when I saw it in Apocrypha... but yea, we love the characters despite this and know it's like that because ANIME. The first figures I bought were of Mordred, Astolfo and Saber. The whole Jack the Ripper thing seemed also to be a bit too anime and kinda gross- but the theory that he was possibly an orphaned neglected and diseased street kid getting revenge on London society through insane violence is actually a pretty compelling idea. Clearly fiction entirely, but still a consideration.... |

@SuperAdventure That's how I tend to look at fate, it all stretched for the fun. Even the genderbending of every other historically male figure is now part of the fun. Jack the Ripper in Apoc it was more the design than the origin/motivation. I actually like the Stage 1 design were they are earing like a cloak as it keeps it from being absurdly sexualised. Jack the Ripper in Strange Fake is gonna be a total badass; and if he were to get his wish the idea of Jack SF and Jack Apoc meeting is hilarious to me. @joemaamah I know, he was arguing with everyone it was so damn funny. I will say, I like Stay Night 2006 for the charming soundtrack, decent first attempt, and the more wholistic story where Saber, Rin and Sakura even Kieri and Gilgamesh all have decent endings. Only real characters who get a little snubbed are Shinji and oddly Lancer (who shines more in UBW). |

@AnimePedestrian One of the great reasons I keep coming back to the anime community. They can take some of the most outrageous positions and defend them to the death. I have to admit I admire the spirit. And I find it perversely entertaining as well. |

@joemaamah It's what anime fans do best, how else can we explain the massive success of Isekai XD |

Big things I'd want for a Type-Moon adaptation: either said Tsukihime remake or Kinoko Nasu's earliest work, Notes. |

@AnimePedestrian 🤣 That's just history repeating itself. First it was mecha in the 80s and 90s. Now we have to withstand the onslaught of garbage isekais until the worm turns and the next "thing" comes down the pike. |

@ggultra2764 You are one who also knows of Notes. You are a learned forum user Wonder what it be like... maybe Type Moon mets Neon Genesis Evagelion. Like Ado Edem, the Aristoteles, Black Hole - it seems like it could be a very trippy show |

@joemaamah Hopefully the next thing just isn't the same locations on repeat. I only watched two Isekai - Overlord and Re;Zero the thought someone out there somewhere has watched some nerd get teleported to the same damn fantasy world over and over and over again and wasn't bored on the 100s show is a testament to there persons love of waifu I guess. I guess Mecha really could be boiled down to space or a human city/town but at least there were some more interesting world building efforts. Not just, there be elfs and cute cat boys. |

@AnimePedestrian I really like Overload, but for it's fantasy, rather than it's isekai, elements. I just love all his miniions. They are so ruthless and unapologetically evil. Re:Zero was OK but I still give it a sideways glance. By the end of the second season it had stretched the plot and its gimmick too thin for me. I never bothered with season 3. BTW, Rin is best girl. LOL You've never seen Konasuba?? It's actually a parody of all the isekai tropes and it's damned funny. I couldn't recommend it enough. There are a couple I think transcend the typical isekai tropes. The first that always comes to my mind is Ascendence of a Bookworm. Something kind of similar from last season was Dahlia in Bloom. So while I consider the huge majority of isekai cut and paste slop, there are a few out there that at least try to lend the genre a little depth. |
