Tekkon Kinkreet
　Mini Review: The premise, the first half of the movie, and certain subplots were quite interesting, but the negative aspects were too evident overall. The correspondence between internal drama and external disasters is an old trope that was laid too thickly, without main characters that were interesting enough to support it. The art is unusual and good, if slightly undercut by the feeling of wanting to be weird for weird's sake.
Suzume no Tojimari
　Mini Review: It hits all the notes of a classic Shinkai movie, but this fact does not take anything away from the enjoyment. The plot strikes an excellent balance between pushing forward the main quest and following the many derailments along the way, in a way that feels true to real life. The art lives up to the high reputation set by the other products of the studio.
Cowboy Bebop
　Mini Review: Its space-cowboy-noir aesthetic doesn't attract me in the least, but I can see the appeal of it (and I appreciated the Star Trek easter eggs). The main routine of showcasing how cool the protagonists are while keeping them constantly broke through bad luck gets a bit repetitive, but the show manages to stay afloat throughout. The production value is pretty good, especially the music.

Ore dake Level Up na Ken
　Mini Review: Not everything is original and fresh, but the show is faithful to the core premise of the title all the way through, which is worth my respect. The main character is complex enough, the plot shows promise for the next season, and the art is above average for this kind of show. I wish there existed more anime like this.
Metropolis
　Mini Review: You are unceremoniously yanked through characters and events, making the story feel like it is disjointly rolling forward past you. The art is the real centrepiece, with so many animation choices alien to Japanese trends, and certainly a monumental effort behind it. In that regard it is like a thick, thick broth from some foreign cuisine, with too many flavours all blended together to be able to state that all of them are good or bad.
Odd Taxi
　Mini Review: A clever direction of tightly interwoven stories pulls off a perfectly paced suspense show, and it somehow even manages to pack it with manzai routines. Although the anime is sustained more by its plot than by its numerous characters' personalities, these are often both intelligent and flawed at once, helping the entertainment value soar. The show's best quality is how it makes you look back in surprise where you least expected a surprise to be there: I beg you to not spoil it for yourself, reader.
Kyuujitsu no Warumono-san
　Mini Review: The anime bets all its chips on cuteness, and it works wonders for people like me who love to watch iyashikei. If it were a different kind of content however, I recognize that the complete inconsistency in the characters' behaviour compared to the stakes of the premise would deeply irritate me. The art is typical of web manga adaptations, with most effort going to articulated characters against a simple and very geometric background.

Fumetsu no Anata e
　Mini Review: Masterful digging into existential questions of all sorts, both about normal individuals and the abnormal protagonist, and so many themes that to list them all is difficult. The psychic evolution from beast to baby to full self is done incredibly well, many of the arc-driving characters are multifaceted, even the inhuman enemies are unexpectedly resourceful. The art is the show's relative weakness: though good for most of the time, it sometimes falls apart in certain later episodes.
Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai
　Mini Review: The invisibility plot point is a bit contrived, but the show's cuteness overpowers most of its defects. I appreciated especially how the female protagonist acts differently in different contexts, sometimes the teaser and sometimes the teased, and not always succeeds even when she wants to. The art is sugary, though with a touch too many chibi moments and sparkly backgrounds for my taste.
Horimiya: Piece
　Mini Review: Since it adapts parts that were skipped from the main season, the story in this one feels a bit more disjoint and gag-driven. Fortunately the characters are genuinely funny and adorable, completely new ones are given some space, and the new storylines complement nicely what we already knew about the main group. The art's level is high, where even people in the background are portrayed thoroughly and the scenery is occasionally excellent.
Kono Oto Tomare!
　Mini Review: Especially in this first season, I have the feeling that the showrunners didn't think that I would trust them to make a good show. Thus, they slightly rushed the plot to arrive to the "good part", and the first interactions between the characters are clumsily written. However, the passion is so overflowing that I got completely absorbed, and it is telling that I watched both seasons almost in one sitting.

Tensei shitara Dainana Ouji Datta node, Kimama ni Majutsu wo Kiwamemasu
　Mini Review: This is just another show dominated by an overpowered protagonist surrounded by beautiful women in love with him, and giving the viewer almost nothing else. The plot is paper-thin, constantly one-upping itself in terms of power levels but without any tension behind it, and shoving the status quo back into place at the end of each battle. The art quality goes up and down, but at least the ups were allocated to the right moments.
Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro
　Mini Review: The show almost manages to have a charmingly straightforward plot, going from point A to point B and ending there, but it could not resist setting up a sequel bait. The characters do what they are supposed to, they are neither particularly interesting nor particularly flat. The art is noticeably bad in the one real fight episode, and occasionally tricks you by showing bystanders of a cool scene rather than the cool scene itself.
Hikari no Ou 2nd Season
　Mini Review: One can perceive some great ideas buried in the confusingly woven plot, but they feel mostly wasted. It could have been a "Shinsekai yori", but events and characters are dull and stiff when they are supposed to be mysterious or menacing, and nothing seems to hit in the right way. The animation is jarring, with bizarre framing and movements: I am convinced that it must have been an intentional storyboarding choice to some degree, to add to the alienation while staying in budget, but it did not work on me.
Princess Tutu
　Mini Review: The show is a somewhat old-fashioned mahou shoujo in the style of "Cardcaptor Sakura", with a dash of "Kodomo no Omocha" in the wacky background characters. Its lustre has faded with time, and by now most of its ideas and characters are classic and conventional. However, the music still shines and is quite well-researched, past the usual Čajkovskij you would see in every ballet anime: the Polovtsian dances, Coriolan, Scheherazade, the New World Symphony are some that I did notice, and many more I likely didn't.

Nasu: Andalusia no Natsu
　Mini Review: What a beautiful short anime. This anime was about a race across an area of Spain and you felt it, it felt just like watching a cycle race on the TV and had that feel like the Tour de France, making it an exciting watch. The art and animation was also great with the early 2000's madhouse look. However, the end felt like it was trying to be a comedy, which it wasn't through the rest of the anime and the end felt like it weirdly dragged after the rest of the anime. So, Overall I scored this anime a 9, the exciting race and good supporting characters really made this show, even if the end wasn't the best. I would recommend this anime to any sports anime fans.
Pokemon Generations 7/18
　Mini Review: Sadly Disappointing. I have recently been watching a bunch pokemon shorts, and generations was the last one and the worst one. Now don't get me wrong generations isn't a bad anime it is well written and achieves what it set out to do, it just wasn't what I was looking for. The main problem I had with generations is the lack of new or original content, as generations is just based on scenes from the video games and as I have played them all it just made the anime feel repetitive. Talking about repetitive the anime is based mostly around the legendaries from the games, so why is this a problem? Well the main reason is legendary pokemon are supposed to feel special and rare to see, so seeing a bunch of them back to back to back makes them lose their elusive and exciting aura and just makes them feel samey. Overall I scored the anime a 6, not bad but nothing new. If your are looking for some fun original pokemon adventures look elsewhere, if you are looking for a nostalgia hit from playing the games this might be the perfect anime for you.

Saa Ikou! Tamagotchi
　Mini Review: Pleasantly surprising. I will preface this review b saying I watching this anime for lo, so my expectations were rock bottom going into it but I honestly enjoyed this anime. All the names ending in tachi I found quite endearing. The comedy whilst defiantly aimed at children did make me laugh and put a smile on my face most of the time. The plot itself doesn't have much going for it as it was just a bunch of unrelated episodes focusing on different characters in each one. Overall I gave the anime a score of a 6, this felt like a great anime for kids.

Spy x Family Movie: Code: White
　Mini Review: Yay more Spy x Family. This is quite difficult to give a review for because it doesn't add anything special it is just more Spy x Family, so if you like Spy x Family you will like this anime otherwise it the movie won't change your mind. This is a nice movie as a side story between seasons. Overall I gave the anime a score of a 9, I puts everything good about Spy x Family into a movie, nothing more to be said.
The New Gate
　Mini Review: Fantasy Isekai sign me up for the adventure to commence. I want to start out by saying the comparison to SAO is just false it doesnt feel like SAO to me, the whole death game concept was just mentioned at the start but it was just the set up to the anime setting later. I would say a much better comparison is with Leadale and would fully recommend that if you like one of them to try the other, I would say I do think Leadale is the slightly better anime. To review The New Gate specifically I would say this is a very classic isekai anime with an op main character, what makes the anime feel special to me is the prior interaction with the world being put into todays story and interactions with the previously known npc characters. Overall I gave this anime a score of an 8 a very good albeit a bit generic isekai.

Summer Ghost
　Mini Review: What the perfect anime to start the event with. I want to start my review by saying I was blown away with how they managed to develop all the characters in such a short time frame. I was gripped and interested in what was happening throughout the anime. But the thing I felt was best of all was the ending an emotion and outstanding way to wrap up this anime. However the anime did have a flaw but the flaw didn't feel like it was impactful to the story as it was about a 10 second scene which could easily been fixed with a slight change and 5-10 second scene before it. With all that in mind overall I gave this anime a score of a 10, the minor flaw wasn't enough to deter from the enjoyment and the emotion of the show. I would highly recommend this to everyone, what an amazing start to the event.
Cencoroll
　Mini Review: Interesting idea poor execution. This anime had one think lacking it coherence, it jumped about all over the place didn't really make a ton of sense and felt like the whole anime needed fleshing out the characters, the plot and the animation. From what I understand the anime received a sequel which also goes through the events, this anime again, whilst I haven't seen it if it managed to flesh out the original anime, I don't see the need to watch the original anime at all. Overall I gave the anime as score of a 5 whilst it wasn't bad, I wouldn't say it is good either. A slightly below average anime, with a sequel that makes it pointless to watch.

Kakugo no Susume
　Mini Review: Based on the MAL score and what I have heard about it, I expected this to be far worse than it was. I would even venture to say it was somewhat enjoyable. The animation was solid, at times. The designs were wild. To the point of being so ridiculous that they made me smile. The story felt pretty disjointed as if it was super rushed. It was easy enough to follow though. I never felt bored while watching, though I definitely could have done without those terrible seizure-inducing flashing backgrounds. All in all I had more fun with this than not.

Final Fantasy
　Mini Review: I have played every mainline game in the series and this could not have felt less like Final Fantasy if it tried. I did not much care for it, tbh. The animation quality was very nice, at times. That is the only thing I enjoyed, really. It felt like Square bought out some random OVA series and slapped the Final Fantasy name on it for sales. I think I would have enjoyed it more without the Final Fantasy name attached to it, tbh. It has been a while since I played through FFV. So, maybe if you watched this fresh off a play session the connections would be more apparent?

Yofukashi no Uta
　Mini Review: Well, this one was a pleasant surprise. I thought this was some sort of seasonal cannon fodder when I started it. However, I really enjoyed Nazuna's character. She really stole the show as far as I'm concerned. I liked the story and how the events played out. It gave a slightly different spin to the ever prevalent vampire romance theme. I just wish Kou was a better written character. Even still, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with this one and I look forward to continuation of the series.

　Mini Review: Yuasa does it again. This was magnificent. I recently watched Heike Monogatari, so the story of the Heike was fresh in my mind. It was super entertaining to watch a Rock Star version of a Biwa troupe. The performances and the songs were fire. Mad props for getting Queen Bee to play Inu-Ou. I can't imagine a better casting than that. Of course since it is Yuasa, the art and animation was extraordinary. The man is a legend and this is another gem to add to his resume.

Jin-Rou
　Mini Review: I had heard great things about this movie and it did not disappoint. I am a sucker for good endings and this one had a fantastic finish. The journey was solid, as well. I guessed a few of the twists, but it didn't ruin anything for me. The execution was so well done, that the twists were still satisfying. The direction, in particular, really stood out in this one. Really liked how all of the pieces came together and the mixing in of the classic fairy tale was a nice bonus.

Vampire in the Garden
　Mini Review: Oh, wow. That was amazing. Yet another anime where it makes absolutely no sense that MAL does not give it the yuri tag. It was a heartbreaking series, but also a beautiful one. The art and music were fantastic. The animation was mostly good with a few hiccups here and there. I adored the story and basically every moment Momo and Fine shared the screen together. The ending was amazing and brought tears to my eyes. Loved it.

Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome
　Mini Review: I didn't like this one as much as Tatami Galaxy. Though, I did still enjoy it. Yuasa's art style is always marvelous. That alone makes everything he does worth watching. It just felt so similar to Tatami Galaxy, which is still fresh on my mind from a recent watch, that I kind of felt like, "I just watched this the other day."

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei
　Mini Review: First episode of this was awful. I was so glad that the next three episodes actually felt like I was watching classic Higurashi. The middle three episodes were very good. Though, the ending to the arc was not very satisfying. It felt rushed and the climax was oddly handled completely off-screen. I liked how the story played out, but the classic, "show don't tell," needed to be used here. Then the final episode was back to a pointless standalone episode. As a fan of the first two seasons, I was pretty disappointed in this. Still, I really enjoyed the middle of the series.

　Mini Review: I didn't know what to expect with this one. I enjoyed it quite a bit. The comedy gave me several legit laughs throughout. Prince Baka was such a fun character. I quite enjoyed each mini arc and the solo episode(s) were equally as engaging. Nothing really blew me away, but I thought every aspect was solid and the events were genuinely unpredictable.

　Mini Review: I tend to enjoy time loop media and this was no different. This show sure had a ton of twists and turns that kept it very exciting and fresh from episode to episode. However, this also kind of hurt the series at times. Particularly, during the climax where a lot of the turns felt a little too convenient. However, this didn't make me dislike the series any more from a pure entertainment standpoint. It just hurt my scoring for it a bit. I enjoyed the character throughout and really didn't have one that I disliked. The OPs and EDs were bangers, so that really added to my enjoyment, as well.

Sakasama no Patema
　Mini Review: Genuinely one of the coolest movies I have ever watched, animated or otherwise. I loved everything about it. The inverted perspective was so well done. As someone who experiences frequent inversion during dreams, I kind of understand the feeling of fear and wonder all mixed together. The characters were cute and fun to watch, as well. I had zero expectations going in and was really blown away by the experience. It is now in my Top 20 favourites here on MAL.

Memories
　Mini Review: The art and animation in all three episodes was amazing. Definitely the best part of the series. The first episode was my favourite by far. I could watch an entire series of that. It reminded me so much of a certain arc in The Expanse. I did not like the second episode at all. It was incredibly unappealing, but at least the art held up. I guess it was suppose to be funny, but I was just bored the entire time. The final episode was cool, but just felt like it needed to last way longer than it did. It almost made it feel like a recap to a standard length film. I really liked the concept and world in it, but the episode just felt like it was on fast forward.

　Mini Review: Wow, that was something special. I have had this one on my radar ever since I started watching anime, but I could never find the right mood to watch it. I used this event to force myself to watch it. For me, it is right up there with Clannad AS and AnoHana when it comes to all out tearjerkers. Also like those series', it has a certain beauty in its tragedy. I'm so glad I finally watched it, I absolutely loved it, I never want to watch it again and I won't need to. It will be seared in my mind for the rest of my days.

Samurai Champloo
　Mini Review: Not sure why it took me so long to finally watch this one, but I loved it. The art style and animation was exceptional. The main characters were all fun, interesting, and shared great chemistry. I liked most aspects of this series, tbh. I guess it is no surprise that the character dynamics and flow of the story reminded me a lot of Cowboy Bebop. However, much like Bebop, my main disappointment with the series has to do with the ending. One of the storylines was very well wrapped up. It felt satisfying. The others just felt like the ending to a mid-season arc. Maybe it was done this way in hopes of a sequel? With a better ending this one would easily have been a 9+ series.

Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi
　Mini Review: This was something I put in PTW but would never watch without a push, so thank you for the opportunity. I thought it was alright, but really wished they had taken more time to tell each story. 5 volumes of a light novel in 12 episodes is much too quick. After the first arc finished in episode 3, I wondered to myself, "why are there even 9 more episodes?" because it just felt like a good ending point. I think there were a lot of interesting ideas, and I liked how all these stories reminded me of Kino, exploring how other people in the world are living, but the idea behind each one felt like it could have been its own full-length anime. 5/10
Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi: Kioku
　Mini Review: The first segment of the special was just fanservice, but the other two were good for the plot. I wish they had integrated the contents of the other 2 segments into the show, but I also understand they had to do it after as they kind of spoil the reveals for the main stories. But by the point that you reach this special, they just don't hit as well, I felt. Still worth seeing, but not as strong as the series, so... 4/10
Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!
　Mini Review: I'd been waiting to see this as well, so thanks! Sadly, I didn't find myself enjoying it as much as I'd imagined. Too many politics, not enough comedy! My favourite parts in this series were when Cid was playing pretend, being a background character or weakling on purpose. I wish there was more of that, and less background girls taking up the whole run-time and adding nothing to it. I did enjoy some moments at least. 5/10
Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! 2nd Season
　Mini Review: After the first season I didn't have huge expectations for this one, but it still let me down. Even less silliness to be had here, and way more serious politics, what with the arc about economics and money printing, and what went on with Rose's kingdom at the end. The ending cliffhanger/teaser for the movie was wild, and does seem interesting, but I probably won't care to watch it by the time it comes out, seeing how I have found that I didn't enjoy this series. 4/10

Zankyou no Terror
　Mini Review: Thanks for the opportunity to finally finish this after letting it rot in my holds for 5 years :) I love darker crime dramas, but I wasn't able to fully connect with this one. Maybe it was the lack of a mystery element, or them not fully explaining the boys' past until much later (so I didn't understand the motive for most of it), but I think the real issue for me was it was all dreary, with no fun at all. I needed some good times to make the bad times sting more. I wish that's what Lisa was there for - instead of just being there to drag them down in the end. 6/10
C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control
　Mini Review: I thought this would be some mafia/heist show for years, based off the name, which is why I had wanted to watch it. I was pretty disappointed when it was in fact more like Persona. I got annoyed at how poorly they really explained their universe - it felt like I was watching an anime based off a game where they don't have time to delve deep, but there isn't even a game. There were good concepts like the real life consequences, but I was really not interested in the Asset battles, the economics, or the politics. The art also felt unfinished, with all the use of 3D for Yoga when he wasn't even doing any flashy actions. 3/10
Hoshi no Koe
　Mini Review: I didn't know this was Makoto Shinkai's early work before watching - I thought it was just a good obscure OVA. But it was nice to see his beginnings, and how even in 2002, his work had the same focus and themes. I liked the premise of the story, of being separated through both time and space, and how it showed the guy receiving the messages between the scenes of her sending them, even if in actuality, they were days, months, years apart. I wish the ending was clearer though, and that the girl didn't leave the guy hanging out for her even 8 years later. I wish he felt allowed to move on. 5/10

Harmony
　Mini Review: I went into this at the worst time (didn't feel like watching anything but had to for the challenge) and with the worst mindset (didn't think I would like this), but it slowly gained my attention and drew me in. I ended up liking this in the end, and was really enamored with its themes of life, souls, and suicide. It took a while to get there, but I think its slow pacing was what I needed at the time to really get drawn in and engaged with the characters and story. What really got me hooked was the dinner scene with Cian. I wish it showed a bit more of the aftermath of the Harmony program though. 6/10

Sakamichi no Apollon
　Mini Review: I wanted to see this show just a week before the event, but waited just in case I could use it here, so thank you Treach! It was the first one I watched for the event and probably will be my favourite. I just loved the relationships between the characters, their friendship was just so nice it made me tear up. I'm not big on romances, but I love historical dramas, and having the music element and friendship element kept this from being only relationship melodrama. I thought this would end more tragically (I had convinced myself I had heard spoilers for this show and it wasn't even real), and the ending wasn't the strong point of this show, but I do always appreciate a full and complete anime. 8/10

　Mini Review: Been meaning to watch this as an option in sooo many limited events, but it never worked out, so I'm happy I finally did! I thought it was historical and was looking forward to it for that, but it was just heavily military. Still, I really enjoyed it, and the premise was really interesting and well-done. The endings of both episodes really got me, I was yelling at Shin so hard at the end... I think I might read the manga for this one day - I think what I need for this series to be perfect for me is just more time - time to get attached to Shin more. The manga seems like the best version for that. Of course I also like Shin's design, very Joe-core, and the music in this was also a nice surprise, a good fit! 6/10

Maiko-san Chi no Makanai-san
　Mini Review: Quick and easy to watch iyashikei. True to the tags and name it doesn't delve too deep into any topic, and only covers the surface level of both being a live in cook and a maiko. Which is an aspect I really look forward to in all educational anime, but oh well. Can't stuff too much into a "healing" anime and have it stay as calm and peaceful as required by the theme. It achieves a good middle ground of what it set out to do. Perfectly average, bingeable and easy on the mind.
Despite my middling score of 5/10 I would recommend it to any who don't want to think too deeply about what they're watching and need a chill break.
Spy x Family Season 2
　Mini Review: Wholesome and enjoyable. I had my doubts going into it as the previous two sections (or parts) had for all their good a lot of moments that made me cringe and drove down the score. Thankfully there was far less of that type of comedy this time around. You get what you see and sign up for, no plot twists for the worse, no changing of direction in the middle of something. Just a wholesome old-timey (spy) family.
Spy x Family Movie: Code: White
　Mini Review: More of the spy family, but in movie form. If you like the series, you will like this. More of the same and with a higher production budget. Otherwise the humor and line of reason are exaggerated, the latter only feeding into the former.
Sennen Joyuu
　Mini Review: Beautiful movie about the life of a pure woman in love who never finds the person she's searching for. It's award winning for a reason and really embodies that vibe a lot of big money studio romance movies tend to have in the west. Though that's for both the better and worse since this format is likeable by a wide array of people it also has a bit of a limit to how enjoyable it can be to me personally. It is what it aims to be and manages to polish that angle it focuses on as much as possible.

Senpai ga Uzai Kouhai no Hanashi
　Mini Review: Typical romcom "love status quo" anime. Except this time they're not in school but ADULTS!!!! AT WORK!!! Unfortunately though the lady in question looks like an early high schooler and behaves much the same, so while it is incrementally better than a decent sum of these shows, expect the same everything as you would find in your standard high school romcom with little deviation from the formula. For what it's worth despite those remarks it is quite watchable and not all that cringe inducing, so it's better than most in the same category.
Buddy Daddies
　Mini Review: Charming and modern japan re-imagining of spy x family. Flat out the first more than half was just not my taste, too many moments where I knew what was going to happen, felt it was going to be cringe and had to pause to brace myself. It was prevalent enough to make me take multiple youtube breaks in the middle of episodes so I could go back down to neutral. It does get a decent bit better by the end, the last few episodes were somewhat watchable and just more in line with what I gravitate towards. But the constant pauses I had to make degraded my experience enough to just not feel good about this show, despite it being made quite competently otherwise.
Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san
　Mini Review: One of the better romance high school series I have come across. Was considering rating it as high as 8 at one point, but all good things must come to an end. Unfortunately it appeared in the form of a boring sibling rivalry. It succeeded in dashing my expectations for the worse and left me with a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. Had this series been a 2-cour and successfully finished that arc or focused more on the interpersonal than the external in the latter half maybe it would've fared better. It is what it is though and here's to hoping this problem gets resolved in season 2!
"Oshi no Ko" 2nd Season
　Mini Review: Hits hard in all the right spots. Doubly so with PTSD and the general sense of "you're not allowed to be happy" type of tired people get after being crushed internally. Worse than season 1 for sure, especially with the drawn out 3 episode long play. Which to be fair they worked long and hard towards, and had all the reason in the world to show in plenty of detail. But nevertheless it really did feel like a drag to soak up runtime at certain points. Both unfortunately and thankfully the background story managed to continue in the last few eps, but less to resolve somewhere and more to just build anticipation towards what could happen ...in season 3.

Hikikomari Kyuuketsuki no Monmon
　Mini Review: Quite deceptive this one is. The first few episodes were utterly insufferable with the absurdist comedy and genuinely made me consider turning up the playback speed multiplier up. Thankfully for both my sanity and enjoyment that facade started to peel by the quarter way point, and showed the energetic fantasy gem hidden underneath the pile of mud on the surface. Though it still had its horrendous supposedly "comedic" moments all the way through till the end, it managed to resist the dark temptation and delivered on the power fantasy I crave and live for! Even if the story and especially world building were subpar at best despite all of the 15 minutes they spent building it up. All in all, by the end it actually became quite the enjoyable experience.
Hakozume: Kouban Joshi no Gyakushuu
　Mini Review: Gets the point across, you get what you see on the box. Though I am doubtful of how accurate anything is in relation to reality, it is a lot more down to earth than almost any other police TV show you can find out there. Greatly appreciate all the minor stuff they work in with every "case" as well. Even if the exaggerations they do at some critical moments blow my internal fuses and break the illusion. Said disbelief inducing moments for one reason or another also often ended up being funnier than their regular attempts at comedy for reasons unbeknownst to me.
Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor
　Mini Review: Apathy. That's how most of my reaction can be summarized. Watched a bum barely survive a high stakes gamble, end up worse off than if he had just not done it and then do it again, and again... Only losing, never actually winning anything of significance. And I just couldn't really be bothered to feel any one way other than annoyed at mister main character. However it did manage to pass the time without making me want to pause or stop, so it has that going for it.
Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii
　Mini Review: Age gap aside it is not a bad fantasy romance story. Ends up a bit on the basic side due to the era it originates from, with not that great a hook nor visuals.
Subsequently it fails to stand out too much among the crowd that has amassed over the years and it falls flat in multiple regards. But it is not a boring or bad story. Just an older format of something that has since become standard.

Id:Invaded
　Mini Review: Great all rounder, with a really solid start, the first few episodes do not disappoint and hook you in. Making a pretty solid foundation that they just iterate and expand upon from episode to episode. Later on details get iffy from a few different clashing inspirations, but not to the point of having the ever teetering bull suspension bridge snap or leak while actively watching. Despite that some moments have odd pacing in my opinion and the whole kinda esper, but not actually tagged as supernatural subplot near the end kinda feels off compared to established working of the system. Which would be my one big gripe with it all.
Seikaisuru Kado
　Mini Review: Unfortunate, it gets so many things right and then flubs at the very end. Pacing was essentially ideal, the topics and flow was exactly what I wanted to see, exactly what I was missing, to the point of being surprised at just how into it I got. But then around episode 7 they decided to go off to the side a bit. As per anime tradition it has a strict imperative that anything that airs on TV has to either have a beach episode or a festival episode. Which on its own wouldn't be so bad had that not been a sort of turning point, where everything started to curve away from the established standard. No longer was uplifting humanity with a diplomatic "how" in the cards. That became a secondary side-tangent that got brushed away. Instead the fun and intriguing aspects that got me hyped and hopeful were thrown into the bin and it just became another victim of human exceptionalism. Because humans are so different from anything and everything, they cannot be contained, they cannot be defined..... And any attempts at doing anything to humanity is THE GREAT EVIL!!! Illogical things happening for no reason, actions being taken for the sake of it, and a great big emotion first plan that in hindsight was just forcing a conclusion that nobody wanted nor needed. Congratulations Toei, I hope whoever wrote the second half of the script is proud of themselves.
Mononoke
　Mini Review: Disjointed and awkward visuals. Artist's intent is a weird thing. Though I understand what they were probably trying to go for with the given style, I personally can't exactly say that I liked it. Getting used to it took half of the series at least, but even after it just didn't make that much sense. Distracting is a word that comes to mind. Otherwise the story was decent and split into self contained chapters where any set could be considered a standalone piece, with the only ordering complaint being that a character speaks about events of a later story in an earlier one.
Sora yori mo Tooi Basho
　Mini Review: Cute girls doing unresolved drama. True to CGDCT form a ragtag group of high school girls get up one day and decide to go to the south pole with plenty of wacky moments in between. Unlike standard CGDCT form though it did get quite heavy for a good number of episodes there. Despite it being tagged with drama I was not expecting it to hit as hard. And though there wasn't much of it I did enjoy the odd tidbits and lore about traveling there, big ship practices in a nutshell and similar for the arctic base. As well as it being a self contained story with a proper start and finish, which isn't something you can take for granted even with other originals.

Love Live! Sunshine!!
　Mini Review: After much delay, finally got around to finishing this show. Its very formulaic and similar to OG love live but feels elevated with the characters and writing. The songs as always are excellent.
5-toubun no Hanayome∽
　Mini Review: This feels like the main series realized they fked up with giving the girl who won basically zero screen time and retroactively adding all the content they cut from the manga. The Episodes themselves were very fun and nice and reaffirm that Nina is best girl.
Natsume Yuujinchou: Ishi Okoshi to Ayashiki Raihousha
　Mini Review: Unlike the other Natsume movie I recently just watched for another challenge, this movie is a lie. its just two OVA episodes smush together. Luckily standalone chill 30 min stories fits natsume perfectly so it wasnt a issue. The Sake episode was a lot of fun. The second story I wasn't as big of a fan since I wasn't quite sure where it was going until the last bit with the friendship fight and that immediately won me over.
Hanamonogatari
　Mini Review: Big fan of Rouka and her dynamic with Kanbaru throughout the story. It was a very nice well package story with a bit of a bittersweet ending. I kind of wished Kaiki was more involved but I'm really impressed at how much kanburu has grown throughout the series.

Yoru wa Neko to Issho
　Mini Review: Being one of the shortest thing I watched, there isn't much to say here but I will say... this show hits different when you own a cat. You relate and vibe with the main character so much and nailed all the stereotypes and quirks to owning a cat. A very cute show and easy to binge.
Mangirl!
　Mini Review:I don't understand the score for this anime at all. I mean sure its short and kinda silly but thats feels like exactly what the show is aiming for. That being said the seiyuu carried the show pretty hard for me, especially kayano ai. I think i would've liked it to be a bit more informative about running a magazine/editorial stuff but at least them making a anime about themselves in the end was a nice way to come full circle.
Hoozuki no Reitetsu
　Mini Review: its a pretty episode fun anime with a wide range of cast to keep the dynamic pretty fresh throughout. Not all the gags are create equals with some being far funnier then others and some running a bit too long for a small punchline. The art style and setting is what stands out the most of the anime and still remains unique to this day.
Obey Me!
　Mini Review: Knowing nothing about this franchise, I dove into this show but no prior knowledge was needed. The show was very lighthearted and superficial so it was easy to get into. That being said im sure people would enjoy it a lot had they played the game before. Lots of good skits, the dog, fire, detective etc that helped made this entry fly by.

The iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors
　Mini Review: So so sooo many girls but luckily they're broken down into units and each unit is given their own mini story which made it easy to get to know all of them. As expected from a giant franchise, each unit tackles a different kind of trope/genre with semi decent writing for widespread appeal. The music is good of course, if only it got more then a mid animation adaptation from polygon.
High Card: The Flowers Bloom
　Mini Review: I'm honestly getting real tired of OVA's being disguised as episodes way later in the series. The only thing that semi related this to the story of the TV show is Leo's appointment to lead the company which honestly was not that important to the story at all. They should've at least gone all out and made it more fanservice, giving all the characters and persona a bit of a cameo.
Xian Wang de Richang Shenghuo 4
　Mini Review: Show really leaning into its chinese OPM rip off gag by straight up stealing memes from the show and adding it here. Im glad that sun romance is progressing nicely as that was 50% of the reason why I keep up with this series at all. Also nice that they gave her, her own OPM moment as that was very satisfying to watch.
Blue Lock: Episode Nagi
　Mini Review: I initially wanted to save this for if I ever decide to watch season 2 but secret santa said otherwise. It's basically everything the synopsis says. A recap of most of season 1 but from Nagi's perspective. You are treated to some extra scenes like what they were like before entering blue lock which made their breakup even more impactful but otherwise not much else to say about this movie.

Rising Impact Season 2
　Mini Review: Its crazy that seven deadly sin was this author's best work. Also equally crazy that the moment the anime started to get the slightest bit interesting is where the anime decided to stop. I would say that making everything a super power in sports is dumb and not needed but then I look at Kuroko no Basuke and this and compare it to less popular non super power shows like Aoi Tonbo and Ao Ashi and apparently im wrong in that regard.
Omoide Poroporo
　Mini Review: very interesting dynamic to have the character along side her 10 year self in this journey. And to have them tell both their stories alongside to indicate her character growth at the same time. It always interesting and nice to see what japan was like during a different time period and the movie gave us a glimpse of what it was like during the 60-70's, a time period rarely touched upon.
Spy x Family Movie: Code: White
　Mini Review: Its a weird combination of being both the classic spy family ridiculous but also the movie this is a ridiculous and very much miles away from anything to do with the main story. There are some good moments in here. The poop gag reigning above them all (maybe spy family has reverted my humor to a 5 year old) and the yor gag at the start was also good. It was a fun movie but there isn't anything particularly noteworthy to praise it on.
Kurenai no Buta
　Mini Review: I forgot how much I missed old ghilbi style art style. its so charming and nostalgic. my biggest gripe is him being a pig is kinda unnecessary and not really explained but that very minor in retrospect. I love Fio's energy and optimism and how sets the tones in all her scenes. Despite being a war plane dogfight/pirate all these kind of dark mature themes lying around, the show never lost its silly entertaining vibe from start to finish.

　Mini Review: (I don't expect and want to get the review additional points but still don't leave here completely empty); honestly tried this one because wanted to see if I could get into comedic BLs or not and while this anime isn't actually a BL, almost none of the jokes were funny to me, it also felt too "normal" to me than average "short tv" anime where they do unique/wild/creative stuff but there was nothing here

　Mini Review: while it was cool, I didn't get much from the characters and the plot wasn't that interesting to me but I see why so many people love this one
Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu
　Mini Review: maybe I didn't watch it at the best time/with the best mood but other than
which still compare to other people I didn't find it that interesting, other character moments kinda did nothing for me and the Rakugo parts weren't the best for me either. Overall it wasn't a bad watch but the experience was too disappointing for me

　Mini Review: watched this since it's one of the titles floating around more when someone wants a good short film but other than this idk what to say about it, it's fine and that's it
Ojisan to Marshmallow
　Mini Review: watched because someone recommended to me as a good tv short but I don't see it being interesting much, sure some jokes were funny but the romance wasn't the best to say the least
Otona no Bouguya-san
　Mini Review: unlike "Ojisan to Marshmallow" and "Highschool Life of a Fudanshi", this short one had the creativity I usually see in short series but idk if it was in a good way or bad way, I'm not sure if I got whatever the staff wanted to deliver here but still could find some of the moments to be funny. One thing dissapointed me was I saw Ecchi tag for it but there wasn't much moments you expect from ecchi shows or was very tame

　Mini Review: wanted to watch more of the YATP and started from the older ones, while I usually have no problem with childish stories, I found this one to be annoying unfortunately
Ojiisan no Lamp
　Mini Review: another YATP anime that I wanted to watch aside from being YATP anyway and I can see why it's one of the more famous short film titles but I found the ending to be a little too dramatic for me, the other things were good
Mitsuami no Kamisama
　Mini Review: nice looking short film but things were a bit too confusing for me

　Mini Review: finally out of the 10+ shows I pick to watch, one of them was really fun, it's basically Shirobako which is one of my favorites but condensed in 40 minutes
Animation Seisaku Shinkou Kuromi-chan 2
　Mini Review: honestly prefer the first OVA to this one, while still fun, idk why it had to do much of a bigger scale compare to the first one
