I dont see characters that arent familiar in some way. Even though theyre often absurd and dumass popped out by the force of capitalism in bullshit media when by most of the big corps obviously. Or cry factory with surface hollow samesies factory lined storytelling... Especially by the blinded, corrupt and stunted parts of hollywood and japan.
And considering anime bullshit theres always been weirdoes and people with main-character syndrome and assholes. Sometimes characters are cliché othertimes somewhat human. Theyre based of human behaviour and thought. Opinions, comedy, satire, what earns.
I dont have a want for them to be real as an adult, but i enjoy the similarities and how they can be used as a tool in a story to help people move in better direction, learn, understand, heal from things... I like what they can do for societies, actions or to get catharsis or enjoyment. What they can make you feel or think. If i wanted them to be real i cant imagine or want a connection with me personally tho cause connection can be broken and it hurts. And you can be worse off continually. But its a nice thought that the good people could be real. And they probably are you just dont know them. And sometimes you mught see bits or lots of bits from characters you adore, would want in your life or look up to. With more or less adventures and different stories than in the fictions right but still lotta same characteristics. Like part of what sells and makes you able to connect with stories is also familiarity right. Thats why they can feel so powerful, real and make changes in people too right.
Its like through history one of the best psychological and teaching tools ever.
Superpowers tho... I dunno there comes bad and good things with it... And room for manipulation to do good or bad depending on the person. I dont think itd be smart to have owers in the world you cant access or control. It gives too much power to individuals and with very limited ability for assessment and supervision and other factors that would be horrible for the "greater good". Like the free market without restrictions and rules.
I felt more like i wanted some characters to be real as a child i think. If i didnt just look up to them, felt familiarity and wanted to enter their lives or imagine to gain their power. Like becoming friends with them, fight with them, fighting for them, having some power, some nice family members all those things. Like when you compare in real life. Or just cause the stories makes you feel they get close to your heart, you become fond of them like a friend. Like you do with others. Real people 🤣.
As an adult i look more at real people and hope they wont burn out or turn out to be or become not so good through their path in life or occurrences.
People are allowed to be human, do mistakes and learn ofc. I just feel like its a miracle when not bad people exist have power and are able to keep up the fight and do good in the world. It gives lifespark to see that too. Even if the fight is neverending and drowning is more baseline than not.
