I have never read a manga in my life and I don't want to spoil myself by reading the Blue Lock manga and then not feeling the hype, because even though the animation of the anime is bad, I still enjoy the hype moments and I'm afraid the manga can't give me the same feeling

yeah definitely read it, it's got possibly the best art and hype moments in manga right now, maybe wait until after the U-20 match and then go back and read through it and continue on

If you like the hype of the anime, then you will love the manga. It cracks it up to 100 with absolutely gorgeous art.

But isn't it a bit dry without any colours?

100% Yes. It's better in everyway. The pacing, the impact, the emotions and the Gorgeous art. The U-20 match in the manga was legendary.

I recommend you to read all the manga since the beginning, worth it. It was my first manga too, the art, the characters, the dialogue all is amazing!

Nah, the shading makes your head fill it in automatically. It might be weird at first, but you get used to it very quickly.

I think you’d get used to it, plus there isn’t much text during games (at least in the beginning) so you won’t be too distracted either.

dw if a manga is adapted into an anime it's for a reason, you just have to try

you're making an dumb assumption. I mean if you've never experienced a story in the medium of manga the how can you say you won't enjoy when you didn't even try.

I would suggest just read to the point when the first half ends of blue lock vs U20 arc, it's not long it's only about 11 or 12 chapters I think and if you don't like them just drop it and watch the anime
