 The official website of the Gintama anime series revealed the main staff, a super teaser video and a teaser visual (pictured) for the 3-nen Z-gumi Ginpachi-sensei television anime on Thursday. The spin-off anime is scheduled to premiere in October 2025 on TV Tokyo.Staff Chief Director: Makoto Moriwaki (Mairimashita! Iruma-kun director) Director: Natsumi Higashida (Tokyo Mew Mew New ♡ assistant director) Series Composition: Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Shangri-La Frontier), Mitei Mark II Character Design, Chief Animation Director: Shinji Takeuchi (Gintama) Music: Audio Highs (Gintama) Studio: Bandai Namco Pictures The anime adapts Tomohito Oosaki's spin-off light novel which began in February 2006 under Shueisha's Jump J Books, featuring illustrations by Hideaki Sorachi. The eighth volume went on sale in June 2018 while the ninth volume is scheduled to go on sale on December 4. Sorachi serialized the original Gintama manga in Weekly Shounen Jump from December 2003 to September 2018. The manga then transferred to Jump Giga and ran for three consecutive issues from December 2018 to February 2019. The last few chapters were released on the official Gintama app from May to June 2019. Viz Media licensed the manga in English in 2006 and released the first 23 volumes from July 2007 to August 2011. The first television anime produced by Sunrise aired 201 episodes from Spring 2006 to Winter 2010, followed by six seasons between 2011 and 2018, several original video anime, original net anime, and movies. | I have extremely low expectations since Oosaki Tomohito is the one that wrote the story for this and not the creator of Gintama, Sorachi but I am still happy that we finally are gonna have some actually new Gintama content and not re edits , re re like the recent movies. |

I have extremely low expectations since Oosaki Tomohito is the one that wrote the story for this and not the creator of Gintama, Sorachi but I am still happy that we finally are gonna have some actually new Gintama content and not re edits , re re like the recent movies.

| @RobertBobert This light novel further expands Gintoki's teacher role at the start(or the end? don't remember cause it's been so long) of some episodes in the main Gintama series so yes you could call it technically a spin off that doesn't have direct connection to the main story |
