Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone
Is that just a remake of this serie? Or something elsE? Do I need to see >Neon Genesis Evangelion first to understand more, Or that doesn't matter?

Arguably it really doesn't matter what you do first...1.0 is essentially a remake of the first 6ish episodes the only difference is that there is less bitching from Shinji...2.0 is where the story changes from the original so it would be an interesting comparison to watch both.

1.0 by itself is just a summary to get you up to speed for 2.0 IMO.

They're rushing through a couple of character's development in the movies, which may or may not detract for you. A lot of setting development is also made with a few quick second references in the films, supposing that you've already watched the series. It doesn't really matter if you watch Rebuild first, but you may enjoy it more having watched the series already.
