No censorship, even tho it is less happening it is still annoying, dump all the twitter/other shouting keyboard warriors whom thankfully have little influence in anime but sometimes they do [Bleach TYBW C2, had to make 2 versions of Yumichika x Giselle interaction, guess why], modern trend are isekai/shounens I wonder how they would execute the past trend of mecha/sci-fi anime, as many stuff from 70-90s were actually boring as hell. Edit: In addition - WWII anime which isn't American/Japan pov, maybe the september's campaign of 1939 would be interesting. Original sport anime which isn't super power stuff, similar to what Ace of Diamond has done |

Less people who whine about isekai and shounen. Specifically the people who think those shouldn't exist at all. Over-saturation of something isn't great if you're someone who wants more variety, but the solution isn't getting rid of something completely just because you don't like it. |

I had come up through the fandom since the early 90’s. At that time the fandom (including myself) wanted more titles as we were given a drip feed of titles. Now that the floodgates are open and there are so many titles each season, I would like to have less shows per season. Maybe not the drip feed from decades past but not the absurd amount we get today. It’s my opinion that if there were less shows than the animation studios would be able to take the time and pump out a more refined product. |

@deg I don’t think capitalism is solely to blame. In part we the fan base are kind of spoiled by the amount of seasonal anime that comes out. Very rarely do people actually take the time to discuss (or argue) about any given title unless it blew up in popularity. Sure the Demon Slayers, Spy x Family, and jujitsu kaisens get a lot of hype but there far more titles that don’t get the time of day, part of the problem is the sheer amount of anime that comes out IMO. |

If you look at the animes made in the past vs now you'll realize there is no 'normal' anime anymore. Last one I remember that was really original and different is maybe Sonny Boy.. I will bother naming lolis, that's like 80% of the reasons why anime is bad, or even not lolis but just 'cute' anime girls - this is very weird thing that Japanese people enjoy, but as an European this shit just makes me grossed out, I can't watch anime with oversexualized girls as it adds nothing to story at all. So, if you look at this season anime you'll see that most of these are already unwatchable of what I wrote earlier - where is an anime with Psycho-Pass style? Good story that would be rated atleast above 7.5 (this point makes no sense but I think ranking system is fair and anything below 7 is usually dogshit, there is a reason people rate it like that UNLESS it fits your niche topic you really enjoy) with thriller / action / mystery + normal artstyle, no fan-service? Where is anime like Zankyou no Terror which is maybe wasn't the best, but compared to anime in last years it's one of the best thing you could watch (it would've been rated 9 if it came out this year). Where are any comedic anime like Saiki and Sakamoto? Where are any classic shounens? Last one was Kaiju no. 8 which was decent, but there are still many more to adapt and make more than 12 episodes. Where are any adaptation or new seinen animes? Why is there so much romance and unfunny comedy, isekais? Go to seasonal top anime, most of these have Comedy tag and or/romance + later Fantasy that looks like shit. |

Hate to break to you but tv station put a lot of money into anime in fact 95% of the series produced a tv station is always a main producer so you have to play by their rules and it's in cour format which means 4 cour per year. |

@deg I am sure there are some good ones out there, I just haven't read many of them yet. Battle royale, survival, thriller, strategy game, genres like these. We got Darwin's Game and Tomodachi Game anime in recent years, which is a good sign. I would like to see anime adaptation for manga like Kamisama Iutoori, Doubt, Cage of Eden, Liar Game, Battle Royale, Akumetsu, etc. one day. Not necessarily battle royale but it gives off that feeling of fighting for your survival. |

Cancel all of the boring generic seasonal isekai slop that Kadokawa regularly pumps out, along with pointless NGNL rip-offs like Liar Liar and Gods' Games We Play, and force Kadokawa to produce more No Game No Life anime content instead (season 2, Practical War Game OVA, No Game No Life Please OVA), with as high a budget and as much time as the animation studio needs to match (or surpass) the quality of the first season and the movie. |

Make anime great again by putting them in more theaters outside of Japan. Take the money from foreigners, and start taking over more and more screens. If something like Deadpool & Wolverine can dominate the multiplexes, anime can do it, too. Maybe this will give some breathing room for the studios so they don't have grind the animators to dust and dare to try some new things. |

@Zarutaku That first one resonates with me the most, because there's so many things I enjoyed that never got a complete adaptation. I'd even take an anime original ending like Soul Eater, Akame ga Kill and the first season of Blue Exorcist did, over nothing. Though that last one ended up being ignored, because Blue Exorcist got picked back up. Unfortunately, money is king, and if something isn't profitable enough, it'll get dropped like a rock. Edit: My bad. I meant Akame ga Kill not Kill la Kill. |
