| Kochikame Kochira Katsushikaku Kameari Kouenmae Hashutsuja is my most beloved anime when it comes to pure nostalgia.. It holds a special place in my heart. The show is known for its slapstick humor and comedic timing. The light-hearted and often absurd scenarios provide a sense of escapism and joy. But Kochikame is much more than just comedy.. It's rich in cultural references to Japanese society, especially the working-class life in Tokyo back leading upto bubble era and the after the bubble burst. This makes it nostalgic for me who grew up in or are familiar with that environment.. With over close to 400 episodes, the series has been a part of my childhoods and adolescence, creating a deep sense of nostalgia as i recall watching it over the years The catchy opening and ending songs, especially katsushika rhapsody versions, and surfing in the south summer wind have left a lasting impression on me. I still sing along to these tunes, which adds to the nostalgic feelings, as katsushika rhapsody reminds me how afterwork activities used to be in 90s,when we didn't have no internet or satellite TV.. But the most nostalgic part is The way “Kochikame” captures the transformation of Tokyo from the 70s to the 90s through Ryotsu Kankichi’s childhood stories is fascinating. It adds a layer of depth to the series, showing not just the comedic aspects but also the cultural and societal changes over the decades. The nostalgic portrayal of Tokyo’s evolution resonates with me, especially because I have witnessed and heard about these changes firsthand in my city . It creates a bridge between different generations, making the anime a timeless nostalgia.. Ryotsu Kankichi’s moments of reflection on his childhood and the paths his friends have taken add a poignant layer to the anime. It’s a constant reminder to myself of how time changes everything, and how friendships can evolve or drift apart despite our best intentions. These scenes resonate with me because they reflect my own real-life experiences. The nostalgia and bittersweet emotions that come with reminiscing about my childhood days and lost friendship and feelings of first love connections to the things we did as kids are universal feelings... It's much more than just comedy |

| After having rewatched and dedicated plenty of time of my present days to all the typical anime series any typical millennial watched throughout their childhood and pre-teen years (Dragon Ball, Pokemon, Digimon and so on) after many many years of not having done so, none of these series are still able to trigger nostalgic feelings inside me the same as before. Nostalgic feelings that something lived in the past awakes when experienced again later in life, are really only felt once, they do not last forever. If anything, the only anime series that to some extent still do have that capacity, are the ones I watched during that time of a human's life when memories are really really blurry (this is the first 5-6 years) and I also haven't revisited yet, like 74's Alps no Shoujo Heidi and 72's Gatchaman. |

| For me Fate does tent to be the most nostalgic series. From Sabers ahoge, to Gilgamesh's laugh, Shirou love of sword and Astolfo being best girl. It's a warn fuzzy feeling that reminds me of why I started getting into anime more and more seriously. |

| It would definitely be Food Wars, DBZ or Inazuma Eleven. I watched the last 2 when I was a kid, so that is obvious. But FW is more interesting because I started watching it back when I was like 15/16 at the same time as Attack on Titan when I was again being introduced into anime. The thing is that it ended in 2020, so that was exactly when I was really starting to watch a lot of animes because of COVID and it reminds me a lot about that time (not about COVID of course, but about the time when I could watch like 20 eps every day with no problem). |
