Have your favorite series been parodied or referenced in other anime or any other medium?

Yugioh had a cameo in Bobobo bo bobo, Yugi himself shows up. There's lots of western series that feature parodies of it and the general TCG craze of the early 2000's with Pokemon, I specifically remember a Rugrats episode called "Yu Gotta Go".

Azumanga Daioh had it's logo come up in Eromanga Sensei, Chiyo and Osaka make a cameo in Pani Poni Dash, the girls are shown in Brigadoon, Chiyo has a cameo in Joshiraku and Comic Party. The logo also shows up very briefly in the Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo film.

Dragon Maid has an archetype in the yugioh tcg

What anime DOESN'T reference Ashita no Joe? Even the fucking educational anime reference it.

A few anime here and there reference Urusei Yatsura (I think Touch literally has one of the main characters reading the UY manga every once and a while), I also know of a few anime that reference Gegege no Kitaro.
Opinions are opinions, and differing opinions can co-exist. 🙂 But I don't do debate, life's too short to spend time debating people.

Not that I'm aware of.
Boogiepop Phantom is not popular. I never saw refereces of the Boogiepop Series in general either.
But mangaka Masakazu Katsura did a drawing of Boogiepop.

Violet Evergarden was more or less speedran in the 4th Evangelion movie.
Probably the only good thing about the franchise.

I'd first have to decide what my favorite anime is. There's so many to choose from. Let's just check a bunch of them.

Youjo Senki: Not that I am aware of it. Though, Kusuriya no Hitorigoto does feel a bit like a weird retreading of the general atmosphere.

Darker Than Black: Can't think of it having any parodies.

Armitage III: Drawing a blank on this one, too.

Here's one that has been parodied:

Cleopatra is stuffed with pop-culture references including Astro Boy, GeGeGe no Kitaro, and even western franchises!
Nyaruko-san has an episode with multiple anime parodies, including one of Haruhi Suzumiya.
I saw Candy Candy referenced in an obscure CLAMP manga.

Gintama parodies detective Conan a few times.
Gintama also had an episode dedicated to kochikame, kindaichi case files was mentioned as well in the idol case.
as does a few other anime like urusei yatsura..
Lum and Ataru have the same actors as rumi sensei and gumna inspector..
Detective Conan parodies Urusei yatsura as well.
Ataru's dressed his son like Conan as well.

I saw Rum drawn as a member of the Black Organization.

@henwens it's even not everything, it misses buncholeomon from digimon at the very least (obvious Jotaro clone)

@Zarutaku not directly but there was a scene in "No longer allowed in another world" which was quite too similar to Rudy and Orsted fight.

Jojo didn't invent the bancho. If you're that desperate to find references in Digimon, there are better examples you could have chosen.

My favorite anime is JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. It was getting referenced in Japanese media before it even had an anime adaptation, and is referenced in a ton of western media after the anime adaptation started.
