| I cry pretty easily so my recs might not mean much (though oddly I don't cry at stuff like character deaths or super dramatic stuff like that as often as at things having to do with feelings and emotions). It's not a sad show but A Place Further Than the Universe made me cry almost every episode - it just spoke to me so much with the way it portrayed friendships. I've also cried in a lot of parts in Fruits Basket (2019), because of how well it described complicated feelings about belonging, inferiority, and self-loathing. One Piece of course made me cry several times, it's so good at getting you invested in the characters and the things they go through. Ano Hana is the more traditional kind of "watch this if you want to cry" anime that also worked on me. A Silent Voice |

The Almighty, omnipotent, and all powerful Kirito in his glory and totally realistic power and fighting skills made me weep rivers of tears of joy seeing his prowess and elegant figure in battle ππThe complex themes, use of literary devices and foolproof, masterfully crafted art made me rewatch it over 100 times >:(  |

| Pretty much every single one on my favorites list and many of my 9s and 8s too. Tearjerkers, mmm yeah. I do like that sort of anime. Not as if I break down into a sobbing heap or anything but a manly tear might well up. I just love anime girls so much... it makes me sad to see them sad. |
