| @rohan121 The idea is for both to air at the same time going by earlier interviews, the Toei version is still intended to cover the whole manga. How long this remake will last is unknown, but they did mention wanting to update the 4:3 footage as a key reason for making this, so probably at least until the episodes that are 16:9. |

| I'm not interested in this anime at all, to be fair, but I need to admit that the staff is impressive. It's full of very skilled and experienced people. This remake's action scenes might look really good in terms of animation. |
| I never watched one piece (a part some few episodes when i was a kid) because it's SO DAMN LONG maybe this is the perfect opportunity for me if they adapt it from the beginning |

Eastern Sea Arc or the East Blue Saga as its more known in the fandom is the first saga of One Piece where Luffy sets out on his dream to become the best pirate and meets first couple of his crew members.

| @RobertBobert It seems like it yeah, I'm a manga reader only and this seems like a good opportunity to watch some One Piece week to week for me as well so I'll be joining in. We'll just have to wait and see how do they plan to adapt it(more closer to the manga and cutting off huge amounts of filler that the original anime has) and how far it will go/how long it will be (will it be by seasons or it will keep airing for years without stop). But since its for Netflix probably a seasonal format which if they split into arcs/sagas and take their time to do well it should turn out pretty good. |

So I've been banned from MAL-Badges, after spending nearly two years of my time and dedication to helping out, being the club's spokesperson, and planning for the revamp, it all goes down the fucking drain. What a joke the club has become. I advise everyone to stop using the feature and stop showing their support for the site and the club. We were promised that we will see changes come to the site, and nothing's been done for the past year. I doubt the site will be touched for the foreseeable future. A 2-cour season should be enough for the East Blue Saga (could be less episodes with longer runtime though). With 150-200 episodes (6 seasons) they could adapt the first half of the series. With 285-375 episodes (11 seasons) they could adapt everything until the current chapter. |

| The current anime has god awful pacing and this director is amazing so I'm hyped to see this. I dropped the Toei one cuz this one is coming out, im good just exclusively watching this one from now on, if it gets sequels and finishes the story. I'd have no reason to ever go back to the Toei one. |
