Riyuuji also has a crush on Makoto, though he doesn't really commit to it and prefers to ship him with Saki. That's really it. It's a triangle.

Luckily (for me) I'll believe you. By the progress of the anime it seems to have a happy ending for the three of them and I'm rooting for that
