The Crunchyroll Industry Panel at Anime Expo 2024 announced a television anime adaptation of sing N song's Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint webtoon on Saturday, revealing a visual (pictured below). The television anime will be produced by Crunchyroll and Aniplex. sing N song originally began the action fantasy series as a web novel on the Munpia website from January 2018 to February 2020. A side story began in February 2023 on the same platform. Munipia has been collecting the web novel into 23 digital volumes from March 2021 to January 2023. The web novel has also been published as a 20-volume novel by Viche from January 2022 to September 2023. Sleepy-C (3B2S Studio) began drawing the webtoon adaptation, with Umi (Redice Studio) handling the adapting, on Naver's Webtoon and Series websites in May 2020. A.Tempo Media has been publishing the webtoon since December 2020. The 10th volume was released on March 25. The original web novel has been released in English on the Web Novel website and app, and the webtoon is being released in English on the Webtoon platform since August 2020. Yen Press licensed both the novel and webtoon under its Ize Press imprint for release in English in July 2023. The third webtoon volume went on sale on June 18. Synopsis Kim Dokja does not consider himself the protagonist of his own life. Befitting the name his parents gave him, he is a solitary person whose sole hobby is reading web novels. For over a decade, he has lived vicariously through Yoo Joonghyuk, the main character of the web novel Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse (TWSA). Through Joonghyuk, Dokja has experienced secondhand the trials of repeatedly regressing in time, in search of an end to life-threatening "scenarios" that force people to act out narratives for the amusement of god-like "Constellations." After reading 3,149 chapters—long after all other readers lost interest—Dokja finally resigns himself to the story ending. However, he receives an enigmatic message from the author, stating that the story will soon be monetized, before his surroundings suddenly go dark. He swiftly realizes that fiction has become reality and he is now living through TWSA. Although he is the singular omniscient reader of the events yet to come, his success in the scenarios is not guaranteed—but perhaps his advantage will empower him to step into the protagonist role that never suited him before. Hyped!! I pray ufotable will pick this up, this would be a perfect series for them to handle. For anyone who hasn't read the manhwa yet, you should be hyped for this as the story is better than Solo Leveling's, and there is a lot of action and drama that takes place throughout the series. Probably in the top 5 manhwa series of all time. |

Always knew this would get one. And tbh, this is much better than most of those manhwas which have seen anime adaptations yet. Hope this gets a decent studio tho. |

Manhwa adaptions have been fairly hit or miss but Ore Dake no Level Up Ken or Solo Levelling changed my impression of them slightly for the better so I’m curious to see what this’ll be about. |

*Checks recommendations* 16 for Solo Leveling. 4 and lower for everything else. I don't even think I need to read anything about the series to know what's expected. |

@Shinuki_n_Reborn Yep, not even gonna doubt it. Same thing as with Solo Leveling when everyone overhyped it to shit while it was average at best. |

Found the manhwa to be really, really boring but I knew this was hyped up a lot beforehand and felt like it would get an anime at some point so no surprises there. Not excited about this though. I expect this to get a Solo Leveling like adaptation with a proper decent studio and everything but don't see myself still being a fan. |

I'm surprised they went with the webtoon as source material, in my opinion, both solo levelling and ORV had a dense enough WN. |

Been waiting for this one to be adapted after hearing of solo leveling getting one. I'm pretty sure this'll be aired after solo leveling is over as this is better and might make people think that SL is not as great as they thought. (Happened to me, this was soooo much better and my favorite webtoon with great world building and characters compared to every webtoon I read till date) |

It's so long, will it be able to get fully adapted? Not looking forward to it getting more popular due to having an anime, there's always certain types of people that appear and stir up the fandom. Not mention the 'it's not gay!1' fans. |

Okay but like this is the best news in my life ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ Easily my favourite series by a mile. Also coming from someone whose read both this and Solo Leveling, I don't really understand the comparison at all.... They're not particularly alike other than being Korean? Like idk man. Ones all dungeons and modern life and one is a whole ass apocalypse come to life from a novel? Anyway, I'm really fudging excited for this and 90% of the reason is to see Yoo Joonghyuk... (I'm so biased for this man stop it.) |

meyve said: @Raideroz-nim I don't even like Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint but you say it's the most overrated manhwa while having Solo Leveling as your favorite ๐ You are repeating yourself... No sane person would question what others like or dislike if they disagree with their opinion. Me liking other show doesnt mean my opinion is now invalid, its still my opinion regardless. People are different and like different things. Why you dont get it? Are you dumb? I didnt like that one, it was especially boring and weak, and I think its overrated. is it that hard to swallow, that people have different opinion? As I said already, get a life. |

@Raideroz-nim That would be Solo Leveling, and is not even close or up to discussion. Even most (the ones who are not noisy kids) fans agree that yes, it has cool fights and beautiful art, c00l flex moments but barely any plot, specially the later parts. The secondary characters barely even exist or matter to the great scheme of things. Many SL clones are better than SL in those aspects, like SSS-Class Revival Hunter, Return to Player, or this one. |
FGO NA Code: 482.072.599 (F2P thug life of savings...) Ben-to! best nonsensical action anime. Ever. |

@Fabris Ladies and gentlemen. What you see is an example of a typical fan of this series. "Solo Leveling is bad and you can't have your opinion." Somehow Solo Leveling found its way into the discussion, as it always does. What exactly is it? Solo Leveling complex? Jealousy? 90% of the fanbase are Solo Leveling haters :V. Let me tell you something though. This thing about "story" being bad or nonexistent, which you haters repeat everytime like a mantra. It doesn't matter. There's no such thing as story being complex equals a good / enjoyable show. It's only your own delusion. People can like a show for other reasons. Wow, who would have thought? Is everyone shocked now? :V As for orv, I wonder where's the "good story" part? It's the same bullshit like the other shows this type (Solo Max Level Newbie). There's no such thing as connecting dots or outsmarting your opponets. MC literally knows everything and everytime he faces a challenge, he always pulls a rabbit out of a hat. How is it even a good writing ? It's boring af. |

@RobertBobert There isn't really any cordiality between Dokja and Joonghyuk until much further into the series, it's more like the two of them being a nuisance to each other as their goals and actions conflict with each other, and Joonghyuk being an asshole at times because "he's the MC" in his story. The way they are drawn in the novel covers, it's a given that many of these characters have different ships with one another |

@_cjessop19_ But overall does it have any actual romance at all, or is it the type of battle shonens that is overly focused on Nakama Power? |

@RobertBobert Barely any at all, it's mostly action and drama. I think one or two of the female characters does have feelings for Dokja/Dokja for one of the female characters, but it's mostly implied and hasn't officially been said out loud. There's been enough development in the story where romance isn't necessarily important to the plot (at least, as far as the manhwa has adapted to so far). |

@Raideroz-nim I'm new somewhat to mal so idk if this is rude but ORV's story is best experienced in the novel. Sure it will seem typical in the beginning but it all ties in together wonderfully in the end. The manhwa skipped several key things the main bring the vagueness of KDJ's features. I also enjoy Solo Leveling, it did bring forth the dungeon hunter genre into popularity. I've read the novel plus the manhwa. Hell I'm currently playing the game as well. We all have our opinions sure but all of us can enjoy our own fandoms in peace. If you don't like it don't engage that's all. |
