Yeah, the final chapter of the manga (108) is coming out in like 2 days. Heh.

Plus, I'm pretty sure the final chapter will be split over episodes 63 and 64, with 63 also including the end of chapter 107.

lol yeah thats what most manga readers think :)

Ok episode. I thought the whole thing with the giant father reaching up to the giant eye in the sky was pretty lame, but I guess since I'm still expecting for Hoenheim's plan to take action (the reverse circle), I just don't feel like the big struggle has come yet. May being proactive while Ed and Al stood there like furniture was pretty cool though...even if she was quickly cut down.

Again, I just felt like things went too slowly just so that the shot of Father reaching for the door could be the cliffhanger.

Wait a sec... am i watching FMA? for a moment i though it was End of Evangelion, lol
anyways, epic episode

If they would've played the same BGM I would've came! Trippy episode, but I like it. The aftermath should be much more fun to watch though.

FMA continues to blow any other shounen competition out of the water. I just hope the last chapter of the manga is good, then I shall upgrade this series to a perfect 10.

Oh, todays NGE episode was nice, cool third impactio we got there.

Yes but where was Rei? Instead of Rei we got some ugly black dude.

Anyway good episode as always. We went to third impact proportions there. Quite the development and am anxious to see wtf is gonna happen after this whole "bring down" god thing.

Cnaw, thank you for spearing us from Fai's stupid unnecessary polls.

Why are you wondering? Having a third impact isn't enough to smell an ending to you?
It's quite obvious that we are heading for the end.

Agreed, didn't have as much impact as the manga...but it's mainly the "surprise factor".

At least we don't get too much deus ex from now on.

The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

Wow.. just wow. This episode had everything. It made me laugh, cry, gasp, and go completely silent in amazement.

The first awesome thing in this episode was definitely Bradley's and Scar's awesome fight. It was so well animated, and I surely didn't see it coming when Scar showed off his new alchemy! What's even more interesting it what happened down below is Father and everyone. Seeing Izumi whip out a giant crossbow was pretty amusing :'D All the tension though! I wish they'd stop leaving us with such cliffhangers that they have been the past few weeks.

How can there be only three more episodes?!

Many thanks to cnaw for interrupting Fai's trollery.

Anyways, that was the first episode in a while that was a 5/5 to me. I really have to wonder how Arakawa's going to (did?) pull out of this without some stupid Deus Ex or "courage punch", but I suppose I need to just trust her and enjoy the ride. (Although I guess it doesn't need quite as careful story weaving if they're just unconscious as people have been mentioning in the thread; I thought they had all died, which would've been harder, unless they all stayed dead...)

God...This was the most AWESOME ep. I've ever watched! I just can't believe it wasn't the final one and at the same time can't wait to watch the rest ones.
Oh shit, week is gonna be such a long time.

This ep. shows precisely how awesome and fucked up (in a good way) is Brotherhood in comparison to the first FMA.

Beautifully executed. That ginormous black figure emerging out the Earth's gate took my breath away. As he was reaching up to the heaven's eye, my reaction could probably be described most accurately as:

Somebody please my memory, btw. Who was that negotiator? The guy who was so happy to see Ross? O_o;

Denny Brosh, if I'm not mistaken. He got pretty mad at Mustang for frying Ross, and I suppose he's got feelings for her. Or something.
I don't think he's overly important or so though, don't let it get to you xD
Protip: I don't really check the forums anymore, so if you want something, take it on my profile.
Is it time for my long-awaited return to the forums? щ(゚Д゚щ) Nope™, probably not.

Oh I didn't completely forget it. Thin-slicing told me he was her partner. I just wanted to confirm ^_^;

Jesus christ, this episode... I don't even know what to say... (speechlessness has become a reoccurring symptom of FMA recently, or well, always.)
But uh, 'Father' has to be one of the creepiest villains I've seen in a long while, so, nice work Arakawa.

Finally got around to watching this episode =_=; Been busy all week!

Anyway, I got the feeling that everything in this episode was drawn-out for the sake of time. Maybe I'm just comparing it to the constant action and movement in the last half-dozen episodes or so, but this episode felt quite a bit slower. Don't get me wrong, though - I liked the episode well enough but the pacing was rather jarring in comparison to what I've been used to. I did enjoy the May/Father and Scar/Wrath battles, short as they were, especially May. I didn't expect her to have that much fight and toughness xD

Still, it's a build-up episode so I'm hoping things have nowhere to go but up from here on out.

... Episode left me speechless for a moment. High expectations are all being met. Seriously, that was a fantastic episode. I look forward to more sheer greatness and even more enjoyment from the next few episodes. :D

It probably needed to be short so that more important things could be fit in, but Scar and Wrath's battle... Well, I felt it could've been longer? Personal feeling was that I wanted to see just a liiiittle bit more of it... but meh! I'm not disappointed in the least. Everything else was mindblowing. :)

Stupid multi-eye-creature-that-is-"Father" annoyed me by the way he just dragged his "sacrifices" around like sacks of rice. Maybe it's because he's the one who's most recently been turned into a sacrifice and was turned into one by force -- thus having his eyesight cruelly STOLEN from him -- but I felt worst of all for Mustang. Everyone else knows what's going on... but he's in pitch blackness. UNFAIR. >: I haven't read the manga so I'll just say (perhaps ignorantly): everything will turn out all right in the end! I'm sure. Or I'll be very sad.

tbqh, I thought this scene was animated fairly well... and I was fairly worried about how it would turn out... and it definitely didn't disappoint.
