The scene at 12:28 was hilarious. I guess no one saw Conan adjusting the dummy XD.

That was clever.

犯(はん・han)人(にん・nin)な人.

In place of the kanji 犯 she used the katakana for the reading instead 「ハン・han」. And the the bottom half of 実 looks like the kanji for 人.

So in all we get
ハン人な人(犯人な人)= hannin na hito = criminal/culprit.

To have it read that well in another kanji makes me wonder if people could actually figure it out. Really makes me wonder how people can make dying messages like this on the spot.

On another note, I wonder if she had a name for that trick she used to get the rich guys.
Maybe something like "Operation: It's raining men".

Notice: I read most manga in Japanese now so I'm not sure where you can read in English. Sorry in advance.

Another case where it's much harder to figure out if you can't read Japanese. While the guy was clearly the most sketchy, it's still preferable if you can figure out the culprit without needing to guess based on how the characters look.

It was weird seeing Conan do something as stupid as mimicking the detective without knocking him out first, but apparently everyone else is too stupid to ever figure it out. Though I am glad that Chihaya seemed to not have been fooled.

As soon as they pointed out the mistakes in the victim's writing, I knew the culprit's identity was there; if only I could be fluent in Japanese! ^^'

The resolution of the crime was pretty fun, if a little simplistic. I really enjoyed Takagi and Yokomizo each getting a moment to shine; oh, and Sato's jealousy was cute! x)

The after-credits scene was really sweet.

Yeah the misspelling threw me for a loop until they folded the paper.

I know right. Conan even moved Kogoro to make it look like he wasn't knocked out.

on another note, I updated the explanation so hopefully the trick is easier to understand.

I don't know if anyone remembers this, but in the manga this is the first case Sleepy Kogoro appears since the soul detective murder case (episode 863-864).

I knew it was the first guy in a white suit as soon as he said he went to the toilet. One of the few places one could hide or outright dispose of the evidence when the building was locked down and he couldn't just toss the gun away. I think this might be the first time I've ever figured out who the culprit was before the reveal, and without all the other clues at that.

Identifying rich guys from slipping on expensive dress shoes, huh. I really don't see how an inspector on a public salary like Jugo can be considered rich. The same logic can be applied to cheap shoes with weak grip...Case in point: my own seldomly worn pair of fake pleather dress shoes with zero grip.

A surprising bit of character development for Takagi, or rather, highlighted one of his unique traits showing the kind of guy he is. When I heard Jugo Yokomizu call Takagi a young officer, I had to look up their ages, and was surprised yet again to find that Jugo is 35 and Takagi is only 26. I expected them to both be a little bit older, like 40 and 28-30 respectively, similar to Chihaya who is 31 according to the wiki.

I don't know what's worse, a broken glass injury, or a kitchen knife injury to all the fingers, especially if the edge cuts into the bend making movement difficult while wearing bandages. I hope Takagi had thick soles on those leather dress shoes.

Overall, a great episode.

I KNEW it! I knew he was the culprit... Kind of easy to figure out. Even without being able to read the note. Kind of weak proof tho. Also I'm wondering how she could continue with her fraud if she based it on this "trick", choosing men who slipped on wet ground. I mean, there are plenty of reasons someone has leather shoes if you buy them second-hand. Of course she could still reject them if she figured out they were not rich but still an odd wayto do that.

Nowadays they are not even trying to make Conan hide well. Before he knocked out Kogoro, Ran just needed to look down to see him :D. Also the people who know his secret (or at least suspect something is odd) are getting more and more...

I ejoyed the scene when Sato got jealous :D and how Chihaya said idiots like that are hard to find...

I didn't really like the experience they used to compare Matsuda and Takagi. At least don't shrug off attempted suicide like it's nothing and simply use it as plot device!

At least Chihaya found herself a new idiot...

Culprit became obvious when the writing error started with the first person, although I wouldn't have realized the folding over part.

Conan has knocked out Kogoro so many times, now he's just fucking with him lmao.

... Does she know? o_o

It's been so long since Conan used Sleeping Kogoro that he barely tried, Kogoro could have just turn around at the beginning xD
