| According to Anime!Anime!, Warner Bros. announced a remake TV series of US Cartoon ThunderCats, which was originally aired in 1980's. Japanese anime studio Studio 4°C will be in charge of the anime production. Sam Register, the Executive Vice President of Warner Bros. Animation (WBA), called the new ThunderCats "WBA's first anime series". The original TV series was created by Rankin/Bass and they outsourced the anime productions to a Japanese studio Top Craft, the forerunner of Studio Ghibli. Source: Anime!Anime! |

| Usually I would say: "what the heck???!!! This is never going to work!!!!" However, since it's Studio 4°C, I have higher hopes for it. Guess we'll just have to see how it turns out. Though I have to say, why a remake? I would much rather watch a whole new storyline than a rehash of an existing one. Yeah, I am not much of a fan of remakes in general. :/ If it wasn't for the fact that Studio 4°C was involved in this, I probably couldn't care less. Hopefully they will bring something fresh to the table, like they did with the Dark Knight. |
