Huh so thats why there are copies of Kuma for Pacifistas, I can see how Oda is trying to connect 3 things at once here. Or should I say 4-6 things at once for this chapter, including Dragon. Bonney ate the toshi toshi fruit accidentally (age age fruit), damn I wished I had that, would like to look forever young. no break next week. |

| As expected, the "tyrant" nickname came from a lie. Kuma has been shown to be way too kind to legitimately be some sort of mad king. Bonney ate her DF accidentally (this seems all too common in One Piece lol) and now we know why all the Pacifistas have Kuma's likeness. I love how everything is connected: Becori getting the idea to do what he did because of "a place in the far east" (Goa Kingdom), and seeing Kuma visit the different islands where he would end up transporting the Straw Hats was some nice attention to detail. Idk why I thought it was funny that Dragon casually mentioned Iva being in prison then moved on lol. Speaking of Dragon, "go where the winds of fate take you, my friend." | Chapter was ok it was nice to see Kuma visiting the islands the straw hats trained in the time skip, if the translation that I have read is correct the Vegapunk is a total piece of popo but I guess ill wait for the official translation. "Yes Kuma turning you into a soulless robot is the only way to pay for your child treatment"🤓 |
| This was just a step-up chapter, the flashback would probably end in the chapter with Saturn coming to Egghead. Really excited to see what happens afterwards. |

| Another calm chapter continuing the backstory but very interesting nonetheless. It's cool to see how everything is connected. Loved Kuma going to all the islands he sent the Straw Hats to. The reason why they're called the "Pacifista" bruh damn haha. That's so rough, poor Kuma. 1100 is gonna be HYPE I can feel it. We're surely about to jump to the present where Kuma saves the day with an epic entrance. |

| This whole flashback just keeps hitting me with parallels about the current catastrophe happening in Palestine... A ruler abuses the people of his land. A resistance fighter attacks back. Ruler goes crying to the world's super powers with lies and propaganda about how he was the victim and the resistance fighter is a terrorist. Government gives their full support with no questions asked, and the oppressor is free to slaughter people with impunity. One Piece's world can be very sickening, but it really is an accurate reflection on the real world. #freepalestine |

| one man revolution, kuma really is that guy. also one chapter away from 1100, this is big. kuma's backstory continues, the guy has sacrificed a lot, too much even. vegapunk and kuma had the right intention, but of course as we know it, that went south. also vegapunk's big ass head is never not weird to me lol. more of lil bonney and how she attained her df. neat stuff and feels like a 'calm before the storm' type chapter. |

| At least the Tyrant nickname was just propaganda. I thought the goverment was already slaving Kuma again into killing his own people but we tone it down a bit. Now the Pacifista naming was beautiful and the connection between Kuma and Vegapunk was more wholesome than I expected, but it feels like the flashback will end soon, so there is some pain left. |
| "one man revolution' is so cold. we got to see most of the things they've referenced but didn't show yet in this chapter which was nice. a bit of a look into kuma's revolution as well as some panels of his travels in search of someone who can save bonney. got to reunite with the revolutionary army and we see kuma gave the blessing for betty to replace ginny as the eastern forces commander. dragon tells him about vegapunk and how he may have an answer and indeed he does. vegapunk offers to save bonney and cure her disease in exchange for kuma allowing him to make clones of him. all of it kinda came together here. great chapter, wasn't as sad as previous ones and got to have a lot of fun with it. will be interesting to see where the next chapters go from here |

| I appreciate Vegapunk's characterization, drawing heavily from real-life scientists in terms of morality. He seems like a genuinely good person, yet he's willing to do terrible things without concern for the consequences, driven solely by the advancement of his scientific pursuits. I prefer this over characters like Tom and Franky, who built from their heart's passion only to have their creations taken by the government for weaponry. Vegapunk is fully aware that his inventions will be used as weapons and remains indifferent to it. |
