| Finally, a conclusion to this bloodbath! Frieren just revealed her epic aura, and it was animated in a cool way, even Aura got scared. Goodbye lolihag. Hmm, I do wonder what will happen to those souls who were enslaved by Aura now that she's... π? I guess I gotta wait another week to find out. Also, we got an eyeful of Frieren's past! It was a rather endearing past of hers. |
| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

| So we got a glimpse with not only Flamme's life with Frieren but also that Frieren came from an elf village that was wiped out. Perhaps that may at least partly explain why Frieren is mostly emotionless but also why she hangs out with humans. The lessons that Flamme taught Frieren have stuck with her and now I see where she learned the spell to lay flowers like she did with Himmel's grave earlier on. The fight (if it should even be called that) with Aura went as I expected with Frieren not even laying a finger on her. Demons in this world really are arrogant. |
| Dang this episode was good, the hype built up throughout the episodes with Flamme teaching Frieren. Mwah perfection. Bitch you lived 500 years double that for Frieren and she's a 1000 times more powerful than you are. This episode explained in more detail on why Frieren hates demons. Why she wants to get revenge on them and why Flamme choose her as an apprentice. |
| More of Frieren's backstory, which is really interesting. Also her mana is so amazing. |
| This episode is absolutely great. Interesting concept i have noticed is that similarity between human hierarchy symbolized by wealth status with demon hierarchy symbolized by mana capacity |

| I loved the backstory we got surrounding Frieren and her old master, Flamme. To spend that long suppressing your mana is crazy, for Frieren that must come as naturally as breathing. Just second nature at that point. SAVAGE FRIEREN, TALK YO SHIT π£π£π£ She humbled Aura real quick, oh you've trained for 500 years? Yea I've been suppressing my mana for double that amount of time π πΎ and then just telling her to kill herself LMAO. Aura wasn't even worth the time for Frieren to do the job herself. Great episode. |

12:12 Google translate says Auserlese means "choice". Also I'm pretty sure this isn't the correct spelling because googling it gave me "auserlesen".

| @Embient : Like almost all names and terms in this show, the origin of "auserlesen" (verb) is German. It essentially translates to "picking the best". It is most commonly used in the context of making wine, where the "Auslese" (noun) means a selection of the very best grapes for a particularly high-quality wine. Just don't expect anyone to pronounce the German correctly ;) |

| Aura made the grave mistake of underestimating Frieren, and paid the price with her head... A lot of backstory this episode with Frieren and her mentor, Flamme. She taught her a lot of lessons of how to deceive demons by suppressing her mana, and through many years, Frieren mastered that tactic, and applied it against Aura here. I found it interesting how both the mages and the demons use deception to win their battles. That ending scene was truly satisfying. I find it amazing how episode after episode, this anime has remained at such a high standard of visual quality, to the point it's staggering how good it is. It's still early on in the series, but this could be a contender for anime of the year for sure. From the way demons are portrayed, to the sheer epicness and haunting nature of some of the scenes, it's been nothing short of spectacular, and I won't be stopping in singing its praises anytime soon I would imagine. |
