| I noticed he would have 4 of these at the second one so I just skipped them, it didn't affect my enjoyement of the show at all since I don't feel stalled... now on to the 19th ep ^^ |

| originally 26 episodes were planed, but because of reasons and funding, they had to air 4 recap episodes back to back. AFAIK, the OVA compensates for the 4 missing episodes. |

| Eh, they weren't horrible recaps, but they were definitely completely pointless... only watched them so I can honestly say I watched every episode. I kept trying to reason with myself that there was going to be some kind of payout in the end though... but there were like 4 lines from each character, so in all they added about 16 lines of new dialogue and 5 new mediocre soundtracks (that were under a minute). The only justification I can think of for these was to give a little more perspective on how they felt in the beginning vs how they ended up in current events, leading to whatever's to come. Of course that depends on whatever that is. Gave me a little chill seeing Kiba laying there in the snow again with his opening line, but in reality it didn't really give any further information there... it makes no difference how he ended up there. Ah well... I'm sure as this aired it actually would've been less of a pain just 'cause all those scenes wouldn't be so fresh in our minds. Still annoying. | Just watched all the recaps because I'm a masochist in love with the soundtrack. I actually appreciate some of the little details I forgot in previous episodes that may be important to the story from here on out, so there's that too. | Four fucking recaps in a row, absolutely trash, don't think I've ever seen this many consecutively. Doesn't help that the series itself is a long, drawn out, slow paced journey lol.... |
