That said, I must point out that the outcome of this fight was absolutely predictable, even though I don't read the manga. Yes, I am aware that this the way shounen anime is - they prove how ridiculously strong the bad guy is before they give the main character a power boost and wham! suddenly he's like the most epic of all epic characters. I've said this before - for me Ulquiorra is the best espada. No matter if it's power-wise, art-wise, or personality-wise. He's not foolish, he questions all of the mushy friendship crap, and seems superior to Kurosaki in every way. Though we all know where this is headed. Goodness will prevail, what a surprise! Bleach would get absolutely amazing if there's a major turning point, like killing off a main (good) character - and it doesn't necessarily have to be Kurosaki - just breaking off the borderlines of typical shounen would be good for a change. The only thing I liked in this episode was the animation, it was actually decent. Though seeing Ulquiorra get his ass kicked by Kurosaki made me seriously depressed. Like most of you have already said, Orihime should die. I agree with you completely! Bleach is totally bullshit. Of course they are not going to kill off the main character from a shounen. Its a fucking kid's anime. I still watch it because the concept is cool but all this mushy shit is stupid. Bleach should have just ended right there. They should actually make a adult version of Bleach. (No not hentai but more gore with no stupid humor and the some main characters from the good side actually die. Hell even make the good guys lose and have the bad guys win for once xP |

| Things just got a lot more serious. I couldn't tell who was the protagonist or antagonist in that showdown. Ichigo's inner hollow is a freak, he makes Ulquoirra look like a hero. That animation, soundtrack and art was top-tier for sure. Definitely one of my favourite fights in anime. Bleach levelled up in feats quite a bit too, Some major fire-power was being tossed around this fight. NO ULQUOIRRA! You and Starrk are all that's left after Grimmjow! I gained some more respect for Ishida this episode too. |

| It's been 2 years, but this episode has FINALLY been dubbed in english! I've watched episode 271-271 over 100 times and it's still epic as ever! Ulquiorra vs Ichigo is one of (possibly the best) fights in Bleach!! Just so so so epic! :D <3 |

| How unexpected... If you can't beat someone, another transform is just what you need. The way i see it: 1. Shinigami = normal form 2.Bankai = SSJ 3.Hollow mask = SSJ2 4.Full Hollow = SSJ3 Still, that was quite a disappointing. At first it was single-sided pwnage of Kurosaki-kun, and when Kurosaki-kun went long hair, we got another one-sided beat up. Guess there's no equals to Ulquiorra, only those who are way weaker and those who are much stronger, lol. And what's wrong about Orihime-san? "Kurosaki-kun" was always a big part of her vocabulary so i got used to it long ago. xD Also she's such a sweet girl.... she always cares about Kurosaki-kun and others..... but mostly about Kurosaki-kun. xD |

| My God, what a fight, yes, there was some big cliché troop across the episode, but it ended up delivering an outstanding fight, so it's excusable. Man, first time Ichigo goes full form, Ulquiorra looked like a fooder compared to him, I wonder if he scaled to Aizen's level yet. Without a doubt, the best fight in Bleach yet, at least animation wise. |

| When it comes to logic in Bleach regarding how Ichigo bounced back as a hollow I won’t question too much. Accepted this show for what it is and still got to enjoy this episode. Ulquiorra is such a badass |

Love everything about Ulquiorra as well, re-watching everything after so many years makes me like him even more. In the end, Bleach has always been a good story, with lots of bullshit and asspulls but still quite enjoyable. I'm looking forward for the next eps (and preparing my soul for the anime coming back this year). |

| Of all the fights in Bleach, this one has stuck with me the most. I remember watching it when it came out and thinking that Bleach was undeniably the best anime ever. While my sentiments have changed (big time...), the overall progression of Ichigo vs Ulquiorra remains one of my all time favorites in battle shounen history. |
