Good filler for first time watchers

I’m showing my roommate Naruto for the first time, I’ve watched the anime a couple of times but the filler I just watched it back when it was airing and I honestly don’t remember much of it.

We’re currently finishing the Tsunade arc (ep 99) and I was wondering if y’all got some good filler recommendations before we get to the massive filler.

I mean, I know I’ll be showing him ep 101 (the one about Kakashi's face) cause I remember it being pretty enjoyable. So I wanted some episodes in Naruto and Shippuden that are somewhat enjoyable or important despite the fact of them being filler.

I found a little guide online that actually had some decent recommendations, but I wanted some extra opinions. Thanks in advance :)

the one where kid naruto and kid ino went on a mission together is a pretty enjoyable filler too

just watch first 135 episodes with fillers then skip to episode 220

Naruto: 136-141, 161, 177, 186, 213-215, second half of 220 (Most of these are funny episodes but skip if you aren't feeling them)

Shippuden: 90-112, 144-151, 279-280, 284, 285, 286-287, 288-289, 303-305, 306, 307-308, 312, 313-315, 316-317, 318, 319, 320, 347-348, 349-361, 389-390, 416-417, 422-423, 427-428, 431, 464-468, 469, 480-483 (Yes it's a lot but I was surprised at the amount of pretty good filler episodes, if you don't enjoy certain episodes you may skip)

Naruto has the worst filler I've ever seen, plus it accounts for like half the anime so you should DEFINITELY skip it. Naruto is MID (at best) with filler.

I think Naruto part 1 had some fo the best fillers, they felt like canon episodes to me first time watching and this was before I knew what fillers were.

In naruto no. Shippuden anything with itachi or kakashi as well Guren filler arc which is mad underrated imo

i haven't seen many fillers in naruto but in shippuden there are actually great ones:

-tales of kakashi; anbu black ops arc from (348-361)
it's the best filler arc in naruto and you can basically considere it canon since i heard that kishimoto was involved with it. and it trace all of kakashi's life, and has actually great animation (like really). we also get yamato's backstory in it but it's not as interesting, it's still good tho.

chikara arc from (290-295) is also great and has great battles, way more action packed. very enjoyable.

there are probably other good filler arcs but i haven't watched those yet

In shippuden, there is the guren filler, kakashi arc and ukataka arc (mad underrated). Oh and also the indra and ashura arc

the two kakashi mask fillers are mandatory. You've already seen the first one. The second one is at the very end of Shippuden but I don't remember the exact episode.

from the Original show,
Chubby Ino, Shino laughs, Hinata's byakugan episode, the 2 arcs after Sasuke retrieval arc concludes i.e. Rice Fields arc and Mizuki return arc, also Gaara support arc as it's the last arc in the show, also the Onbaa episode.

from Shippuden(watched very few of them),
Kakashi's childhood arc, Itachi's childhood arc, Chikara arc, a few Infinite Tsukuyomi episodes and that's about it. Didn't watch anything else.

I watched all filler without paying attention to if they were filler or not up until the Mecha Naruto episodes in Shippuden. But as for the episodes I know for sure is are filler but still thoroughly enjoyed, would be the alternative timeline (episodes 432-450 I think) in the Infinite Tsukuyomi arc
