| We finally get to see Naoto's side of his training to be number 1, and seeing his top 3 rivals, I was amused at how similar this 3 ' triumvirate' are compared to Nagatoro's friends, Gamo, Yoshi and that twin-tailed, big-oppai member of the Judo club that showered with Naoto back then. I'm proud of Naoto, not only did he assert his intention to learn from the best, he hung around them, got a pat on the back by his number 1 rival and most importantly, got to briefly flex the fact that he got a cute kouhai watching over him! Another W for Naoto Senpai. what a lad. |

| Dude is so determined that there isn't even a shred of his past self holding him back. Just straight up went to the number one Machida and asked her help. No shame in learning from those who are better than you. Also hey no tapping on shoulders in front of Nagatoro, that thing belongs to her xD |

| Some new characters being introduced, and on senpai's side of the story for once. I really like this development because it indicates that the story might still go on for a little while (I was convinced for a while that the tournament would happen and the story would end in ~10 chapters). While these characters may very well have been introduced just for a final arc, it raises the possibility that we'll keep exploring the story besides just Nagatoro x Senpai after the tournament... At least, that's what I'm choosing to believe. |
| Jealous Nagatoro is adorable as always. I forget, but is this the first time we read Naoto's last name? It was obvious it'd be the same as the doujin, but I only remember reading his his first name as a nickname when they were snowboarding. Regardless. Nice to see Naoto's progress in confidence and doing his best to improve. Although I can't really imagine him winning. There's only a week left isn't there? Or three. I forget. It'd be kinda weird if he surpasses those three in such a short time, I guess. No matter, I look forward to the confession! |

| I do feel bad for those who dropped this series early on, it's become one of my top favourite romance manga of all time, Nagatoro and Hachioji have both grown so much |
