According to Ascii, Nets Toyota Takasaki, a sales chain dealer of Toyota, created an Itasha of Misaka Mikoto. It was made with the approvals of Railgun producers' committee and the president of Netz Toyota Takasaki.
It will be displayed in the dealer's shop, but not for sale.
According to Mainichi, an Itasha race car of Evangelion Unit 01 named "Evangelion RT Unit 01 apr Corolla" participated in Super GT 300 held at Fuji Speedway and finished 9th in the race. Hatsune Miku x GSR Porsche was 14th.

That appears to be the case. I used to have a bookmark to a page with photos of the Miku BMW Z4 from the first season of racing for the team who used it. The name of the team escapes me at the moment. I also think that the artwork on the BMWs, they used two different models with similar but slightly different designs, was more to my liking.

The team is Studie Glad R@cing. They used different designs in the 2008 and 2009 SuperGT Season. I don't know if they're active in the 2010 season. That Porsche GT3R however isn't their new car. It's the car of team Goodsmile Racing with COX
Is it just me, or is that car really frickin' ugly? And I mean that about the car itself, not the designs. It'd look just as ugly if not worse if it was just a regular car rather than an itashi.
