| They didn't achieve such thing. About Fuji, CSM had some mixed opinions, and didn't sell enough blu rays. His other works didn't get the same attention. |

| I only ever think about it when it comes to people comparing Fujimoto's assistants to him. More specifically that their series are telling the same stories or are intended to have the same effect as Fujimoto's when most of them are probably trying to do their own thing. To be fair, I've only read "Hell's Paradise" but based on my impressions, "Spy x Family" has a more mainstream appeal and "Hell's Paradise" isn't as subversive as CSM is, but that's not a point against either of them. It looks like "Dandadan" might be more similar but even then it could be doing something totally different. None of them are Fujimoto 2.0. It's odd that their connection to him get brought up so much and the reasoning tends to be that if you like Fujimoto you'll like their stuff when that isn't the case. Honestly, there are other mangakas/series that are more similar to Fujimoto, but they don't have that tie in of being his assistant at some point in time. |
