just caught up with the anime now i want to start the manga so where should i start from after the episode 1054?

Around 1029 or 1030( u should've searched these on Google but anyways enjoy your journey because after catching up with it. you will most probably die from pacing lol)

just stick to manga from beginning to end , and after completing it you can always watch some of best scenes in animation to , like "one piece is real" scene, or zoro vs kaido, many other scene you may like in journy you can watch them in anime too

yeah man, what do you have to say for the OST & voice acting? WE ARE! opening song? & the first ED? after 600 I can understand why you recommend manga, but I was totally anime-only the entire time but never felt bored or anything.
After catching upto anime, I re-read entire manga to educate myself the differences between anime & manga experience

my suggestion would be just to read all of the manga too from wherever you left off because it's well worth it but if you just want to read the new stuff first and go back and read it through i think that's smart too but the anime has adapted up to 1029 as far as i know

Read manga all the way and maybe look at the big fights in the anime afterwards. The pacing in anime is horrible and you will have a much better time just reading the manga. If you want to watch anime still then watch onepace

I'd say check fandom, they constantly update the exact chapters and pages adapted in each episode consistently.
So just go there every week to see the comparisons as you please.

Anime had adapted East blue saga so perfectly that, it set a bar for every future One Piece saga for me(till I saw skypeia).
Until dressrosa, I never felt like pacing is hurting me. Instead in manga East Blue saga bored the f out of me. Later on after Louge town, I felt like entire manga is worth re-reading

i couldn't bear one piece anime from starting i forced myself to watch upto 60-65 episodes then picked up manga and watched marineford in anime insted of manga that ruined my experience then i never looked back at one piece anime and continued manga
