| I keep getting the feeling that this series won't have a happy ending. |
| The only thing that could make this anime even more amazing is more episodes for a compete adaption, but that isn't going to happen as the manga is still ongoing and probably will only use half the material... I know this is way too early, but I want a second season. No anime only ending please. |

| This episode was great in terms of developments and character-building, and the atmosphere is still the huge turn-on of the show (and it's darkening too). On top of that, I didn't particularly find this one slower than the previous episdes, so that was all good for me. |

| Ume's life was actually surprisingly interesting. Following Otake, his was the most mysterious; i didn't know what to expect. Yaichi's should encompass a larger span of his life though and be more exciting. I have had trouble distinguishing the past events from the present at times, or at least not knowing when they change times, but this episode was easy to follow. |
| So how the gang came to be and now we know the story about Ume, didn't know he was such a good guy. I see trouble brewing at the horizon though. |

| Glad to see the backstory of how the group formed, their first 'heist,' and why Ume is a better person than I originally thought. It was a little slower than past episodes... but I liked it. Not the best episode so far, but still quality & relaxing. |

| After learning Matsu past from the last episode, we got to learn Ume past. We learned at the same time how they created the Goyou. Ume have a debt against an ex-compagnion and try to repay him. It look like Okino is cracking for Masa :P I think we can now guess were that other gang we saw at the end of the episode 3 came from. Ekvi said: Omg, they killed Ton-chan! Oh shit, poor Azusa, how she's gonna live without her Ton-chan..? :( |

| The atmosphere of The House of Five Leaves has always been heavy, but this episode was particularly overbearing. While the flashbacks to times before the gang's formation are a bit confusing, it's great to see the characters' motivations for being part of the group. There are slight subtleties in the scenes' coloring when the anime is in a flashback, but it's otherwise hard to tell time we're in without Masa there. Other then that, The House of Five Leaves has been quite nice so far. |
| Ume's the man, I really felt for that other guy's situation. I like how the flashbacks are broken up into fragments and partially explored as the episodes progress. It adds a layer of mystery to the characters that I want to keep unraveling. |
