| So Tsuyoshi wants to learn some magic...heh, he never seemed like the type. Obviously, his skills mainly revolves around cooking but maybe having some magic talent could help survive in that world. Speaking of food, we did got more rice, something I'm pretty sure we'll see plenty of this season. |

| Mukoda keeps polishing his cooking skills, but he also needs to learn some other skills if he wants to protect himself. Magic sounds a great solution. And what about the food we saw in this episode? Delicious, like always. :3 That melon bread. Nom. And: "It's not enough!" Hehe. Someone really loves to eat. |

| Why did the bookstore owner make it sound like maps were so rare, saying it was nationally restricted and all that? Is it specifically world maps that are restricted, as in stuff beyond the continent? |

| Fels egging Mukohda to make use of his magic, and the first thing to come out of it: Fireball. It's embarrassing, but it can be done. Too bad that the spirit is so weak, Mukohda isn't suited for adventuring. However, Fels would not take this for granted, and pressures said hero to train his magic against goblins, even if it's by force to be adept in magic. Unfortunately, it took up much of Mukohda's stamina, so melon bread is what he settled for. Of course, the sweets slowly develop Fels's interest, but while this must be eaten in moderation, this does not apply to said wolf who has the blessing of the Wind Goddess Ninrir for all ailments. Despite using telepathy for communication, Mukohda must be on his toes to watch over Fenrir, and finding the world map to continue their journey, it seems like a hard find. Other than trying to satisfy Fels's stomach for varieties of tastes, something simple such as tonkatsu can be nice. The only place that Mukohda can find information: the pub and its inhabitants of adventurers who have tons of information at their disposal, and the world map certainly is for one that's not cheap to obtain, but he did, at the scorn of getting ripped off in this dog-eat-dog world. Time to explore more areas...and a slime incoming. |

| Damn, pretty big content cuts this episode. The beastman in the pub, looots of worldbuilding. Politics, more details on the territorial warfare, racial discrimination. I haven't read that far in the manga but it all seemed pretty important (chapter 9 if you're curious). Wonder if it's rearranged, or if Mappa just decided to not bother adapting it at all. I guess it's probably not what most people are even looking for in a show like this lmao, you can find it done better elsewhere. |
| This episode had a better balance, it was nice to see more of the adventure side and for Tsuyoshi to learn something useful for his protection like magic. I know he doesn’t like danger but I hope we get some dungeon action in the future with Fel. Don’t miss the after credit scene for a cute little slime. |

| Thought it was a decent episode overall. But it is getting kind of boring that it's the same thing week after week. This week he learned to hone magic rather quickly and he got bamboozled which was funny. Also Fel wanting more while holding his bowl was hilarious. Marinate1016 said: Preach. | Hearing Fel describe what he's eating reminds me of a food critic, the way he describes the taste and textures. While not much happened, except for Makouda learning magic, the backgrounds such as the trees really pop and the animation is great. It did suck that Mukouda got swindled but at least he has a map now. It looks like we get a slime and a goddess introduced in the next episode and I look forward to watching her reaction when she tastes his cooking. |

| Fel is such a cute and loyal wolf. The boy was pouting because Mukouda came late. Also cool that Mukouda is leveling up. Dude obviously got scammed but it was his own fault, he was too trusting, also he didn't go to the AVENTURES GUILD; really dude that would be the first place I'd go. Also we get baby slime next episode. Were also going to see a little more of the Goddess. Quick Edit Here: I just read everyone's comments, almost everyone is saying something different about this show, if they are saying something similar its worded very differently. To me that's a mark of a good show right there. More people need to watch this comfy show. |

And afterward being too tired to make food and just eating sweets was funny lol, he didn’t cook much in this episode overall which is understandable, man must be tuckered out from feeding his mutt lol. And I had a feeling Mukouda would get jibbed by those drunk adventures, it seemed kinda sus that maps would be that rare lol. And that after credits scene with the slime was really cute, guessing we’ll be meeting it soon along with this goddess who will be tamed by food no doubt lol. |

| I had high hopes for this after the first episode, which I enjoyed quite a lot, but its moving at a snails pace, and becoming stale very quickly. Guy cooks food, familiar eats food. People get scared of familiar. Walks to new location, rinse and repeat. I hope it starts to move along with a more interesting story soon.. |

| Bro watching this before eating anything is so painful lol Pretty great episode as usual though! Mukohda is learning basic magic, we learned a bit more about that goddess from the OP and they now have map and a bit more direction! Really excited for the next episode! We got to see that slime from the OP at the end and they look adorable >w< It also looks like we'll be seeing that goddess sooner than I thought too, which should also be interesting! |
