| Whenever you see clips or hear stories about a particular series it really makes you want to watch it, or when you remember the feeling of how maybe your favorite shows made you feel. Those emotions make you want to start watching something new but in reality thats like 1% of the time youre really watching anime, so its kind of discouraging. Oddly enough yea this makes sense- Whenever I watch a particularly amazing show it's almost discouraging that I'll never be able to experience something quite like that again. Although I love the idea that it could happen- I know it won't. So yea I agree with you. |

| Isn't it apply to any media? I sometimes feel exact same shit about video games. There is a lot of show that's just blew away my anticipation and end up loving it. Yea, just keep finding shit you will like. It's not anime's problem. It's human psychology. |

| it is true if the anime you're thinking of watching comes from your friend and their trash recommendations (especially from a friend who doesn't know give a shit about your preferences) sometimes they exaggerate their stories of a particular show and overhype you, it's bullshit if you saw the anime on your own, got interested, and think of watching it yourself. |
