'Ayakashi Triangle' Delays Broadcast, Home Video Release

The official website of the Ayakashi Triangle television anime announced on Monday that episode five and beyond will be delayed due to the effects of COVID-19 on the production.

The third and fourth episodes are still scheduled to air on Tuesday and next Tuesday (January 31), with the first four episodes re-airing beginning February 7. The broadcast dates for episode five and beyond will be announced on the anime official website and Twitter in near future.

The production delay has also impacted the home video release, with the first Blu-ray and DVD delayed from March 29 to September 27. The second to sixth Blu-ray and DVD volumes are now scheduled for release from October 2023 to February 2024.

The anime series premiered on January 10. Noriaki Akitaya (Ore wo Suki nano wa Omae dake ka yo) is directing the series at Connect, with assistant director Kei Umabiki (Tsugu Tsugumomo director). Shougo Yasukawa (Shokugeki no Souma) is handling the series composition, and Hideki Furukawa (Strike the Blood III) is designing the characters.

Ayakashi Triangle adapts Kentarou Yabuki's ecchi comedy manga, which began in Weekly Shounen Jump magazine in June 2020. Shueisha pub;ished the 12th volume on January 4.

I won't be surprised if Buddy Daddies and Tomo-chan get delayed.

Isekai Oji-san, NieR and now Ayakashi. There's probably more delays its just the matter of when.

Hopefully tomo chan won't get delayed too.

There is too many shows this season anyway

All the last two years have been a terrible nightmare after I got sick with covid and is it still 2020? This explains a lot.

While P.A. Works postponded "Appare-Ranman" broadcast during the last COVID outbreak, this time delays are related more to bad planning (or studios affected using a lot of Chinese outsource labor). Just today they announced that their next series still airs in Spring.

welp... i guess im not watching this until next year since i wanted to wait for the uncensored version

aniplex strikes again... even if it's because of 'covid', if they hadn't finished animating at least 6 eps, why did they try to air it? smh

was waiting for the uncensored version but it seems like i'll be completing this next year.

LOL I love how "COVID" only targets certain studios and certain productions

Come on "Aniplex" say something more believable than this spoiled lie called "COVID-19", it's a problem with the rushed schedule for the production of your titles , so be  ready guys for another expected delay for the other  "Aniplex" titles :
-Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha: Shijou Saikyou no Maou no Shiso, Tensei shite Shison-tachi no Gakkou e Kayou II
-Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko!
-Buddy Daddies
and maybe also '  Urusei Yatsura (2022) ' because I saw that  Aniplex  part of the  Producers

All these Aniplex-licensed shows getting delayed.....COVID or not, whatever the case, this is just getting beyond ridiculous at this point.

Yes, sadly you are right. I watch Buddy Daddies, hope it won't be delayed due to production problems and not COVID. It is simply an excuse.

The main producer behind Urusei Yatsura is Fuji TV, Aniplex was only second on the committee. 

So just like Call of the Night, I wouldn't call it an Aniplex show.

Because it should literally be just pressing the "del" key and it's done, no?

It would be a little more complicated than that, but the censorship isn't what would be causing the delay. Touching up the animation and actual production of the discs would be what causes that much delay. It's a big machine, and hitting a snag causes larger delays than you would expect.
