| I swear, character rivalries in this show is everywhere, pretty much in every episode including this one. Misunderstandings seems common in this show too, now with a love letter drama. Not going to lie though, I find Mendou quite amusing to watch. At first, I didn't like him much but he's unintentionally funny with that personality of his. |

| The Mizunokoji boy Tobimaro "Ton" comes to steal the spotlight, having known Shutaro in their childhood and wanting to settle scores with him over baseball, and Ryoko having an affection over him. All is to be settled against Ataru and Shutaro, with Ton being the additional player of joke. for Ryoko's never-ending affection. Tobimaro has gone missing expecting Shu, but his love letter troubles aren't the only ones that Shutaro has to contend with. A lazy and cozy Sunday becomes a cat-and-mouse chase for Ryoko trying to avoid Shutaro to meet Ton, and Ataru is only a lackey in this love triangle and feud of a brother letting go of his only sister to a childhood rival that trips up each and every time. This confrontation is too damn hilarious, and Ryoko is cocky for her manipulation. The 2nd half is the better part. |

| Definitely one of the funniest urusei yatsura episodes this was just peak comedy from start to finish lmao. Tobimaro and Ryoko are a comedy pair made in heaven. |

| That Mizunokoji boy aka Tobimaro aka Ton-chan. I'm still surprised he didn't get cut from the remake. His character was pretty much a parody of baseball characters in 70's and 80's mangas so I thought he wouldn't fit in a "modern" anime well but I was wrong. He was very fun to have here and Kaji Yuki did a great job portraying him. I just hope he's not a one-off character like Kurama. Of course, Ryoko stole the spotlight from everyone here. You know the episode's gonna be 10x more lit if Mendo's psycho sister is in it. Sometimes I forget she's a middle schooler... This was a good episode. It highlights the random craziness of Urusei Yatsura well. Though I think the OG anime counterparts in episode 70 and 140 had more jokes and executed them better, especially episode 140. Next episode will adapt 3 chapters. Technically this episode adapted 4 chapters so I don't think it's a big deal. Can't wait for more Ran. |

| Tobimaro makes his appearance in the remake, and I really like him here. I’ve only seen the first part of this episode in the original and it’s yet another where I prefer the OG, but it was still really fun seeing the sabotage occurring from both Ataru and Ryoko lol, and Tobimaro’s “rivalry” with Mendou is always fun to watch. The 2nd half is new to me and I really liked it, lots of insanity when you combine all the shenanigans of these characters into one story but it was fun lol, I felt bad for Tobimaro most of the time during this part but it didn’t stop it from being hilarious, I’m also surprised Mendou actually okayed Tobimaro being with Ryoko too lol, an epic misunderstanding for sure. Because of how much I liked this one here I’m really excited to get to this in the OG. |
| This comedy is so stupid, but for some reason, sometimes it can be so enjoyable, and this episode was an example of dumb comedy that worked for me. Ryoko and Tobimaro are just hilarious. |

| Finally caught up on the new season. I'm warming up to this 2022/3 anime, the comedy was on-point these last few episodes. Also, the way they drew Ton totally gaves me Ranma energy - I can imagine what a new version would look easier now. Mendou and Ryoko's dynamic was also funny as hell |
| It was supposed to be a fun episode and the second part is completely new to the remake and it's very faithful. But I just don't really like Tobimaro's character or his sister so it's meh to me. Really impressed with how Mendou could keep being cool for having a crazy family especially his sociopath sister to boot. His name could also mean hall of masks so it makes sense lol. Mamoru Miyano is going all out with his screams. I wonder if the studio only composes less than 10 soundtracks, they are just straight up loud and cheap. It's really a far cry from the OG's ones. So bad that it starts to hinder my overall enjoyment of the show. Wish they would adapt more misadventures between the quartet rather than breezing through so many just to introduce as many side characters as they want. Next week we got three stories instead of two halves, squeezing much? |

| This is the first episodes where I found it pretty consistently funny throughout, the 2nd half was so much more fast paced on the deliveries and punchlines with it slapsticks humor whereas i think in the past it tended to be so predictable anytime a slapsticky punch or lum shock happened it'd be like 10 seconds too late. The escalation of absurdity that was the entire 2nd half was honestly the most ive enjoyed the series so far and I hope thats a sign of more to come. |

| This was a fun episode. So many instances of slapstick comedy and Ton-chan getting all those hits. I beleive this is the kind of absurdity where Urusei Yatsura excels at. I just wished they didn't yell all the time. |

| Hmm a curious new cast member indeed. A rival to Mendo huh. Just what kind of contest was the one that they did when they were kids though. Ryoko's ever the joker lol. Her guards as well are just as amusing with their cheating. Thats one weird morning routine that Mendo has there though. Tobimaru just can't get away from Ryoko thats for sure. That three way contest between Ataru, Mendo and Tobimaru sure had quite the escalation. But wow Ryoko really made this ep comedy gold with her every action. |

Man Ataru and his friend are crooked. lmao Ryoko used Kabuki stage hands to so Tobimaro could win the baseball match (dressed in black the audience are meant to ignore them as they are "invisible"). Covering up her brother in cement, that's some crime syndicate type stuff right there, her idea of fun is indeed sick. The athletic park scene was full of over the top action. |

| Tobimaru is a knock off Walmart version of Rurouni Kenshin with no skills. Mans tried so hard to beat his rival Mendo but fails. While Ryoko is thirsting over Tobimaru and abuses him. |

| Fun dynamic. Sport plot bought Randy to mind, haha. Also holy moly, yeah, this show really has awesome openings. This second one doesn't have the same fun factor initially I feel but it wins in the cuteness factors as well as showing more wacky interactions, really love it. This show's cast and its situations keep everything really fresh with the characters, this show's great. I could see myself visiting the original adaption sometime. |
