| Holy wow I loved that 1st episode. I was avoiding it because the title/branding made me think it was like Way of the Househusband or something?? I regret waiting to watch it. This is really cute. didn't love Spy Family but this feels really good. I'm excited to watch the rest. |

| This is a show I really wanted to watch in Winter 2023 but couldn’t quite fit it on my list, and now thanks to my buddy being interested in it I’m watching it! And damn what a good start this had, PA Works really cooked with this one, lots of great looking scenes with awesome backgrounds and nice animations, and the content itself was really fun. Kazuki and Rei really contrast each other in personality and design but work together really well, all of those things kinda remind me of the duo from Millionaire Detective but this time we don’t have a millionaire lol. I really like the two of them, definitely nice MCs for this show. And wow, Miri won me over immediately lol, so damn cute, her VA does such a good job, I recognize her as Fa from RPG Real Estate and she fits Miri so well too. It’s a shame her real dad was killed right in front of her but he was a human trafficker anyway lol, I’m sure these buddy daddies are gonna be great to her too. And I’m not sure if that was the OP or ED at the end but it was damn good. And lastly, I noticed a lot of crunchyroll comments were very fixated on our main duo being gay, but to me it seemed they’re clearly not, I mean the show is even called “Buddy” Daddies lol, but at the end of the day you can imagine it however you want to, it just seemed weird to me that folks were so focused on that aspect and not the cuteness of Miri lol. That being said tho, can’t wait to watch more of this, this will be fun to discuss with my pal. |
| The two mc's are kinda meh in my opinion but Miri is such an adorable kid. Was a bit confused whether their target or Kazuki was the dad but on closer inspection it was indeed the target which is kinda messed up thinking about the whole situation. |

| Had the belated realization that this series is "Spy x Family"-esque. That did not occur to me until I actually started watching this show. Have never been particularly interested in watching "Spy x Family" yet here I am watching "Buddy Daddies." |

| I couldn't even watch the episode 1 in one sitting... Seriously how can this be a 8/10 like Spy x Family ? The action scenes were so bad my brain is melting in his juice. The kid is so stupid it can't even realize people are dying / hurt ? I mean it's really beyond being candide at this point. And wtf isn't she at a police station anyway, do people let 4 years old alone outside by themselves in Japan ? The kid also literally have a photo of her dad and can't even recognize him ?! Sorry but my suspension of disbelief isn't working at all here. I'll need to watch Spy x Family season 2 to wash this out of my system. Edit : 1min in episode 2, and she can't even pee by herself... but she could be outside for hours alone in episode 1.. riiiight. UUURGH, why did I chose this anime for a challenge again ? |
