| The big reveal. I wasn't expecting to see the other Captains prepare for their training arcs, I was sort of expecting more focus on Ichigo and Zangetsu. So, that's a bit of a disappointment. But, the stuff with Zangetsu was visually quite impressive. I'm looking forward to Ichigo's new Zanpakuto. Overall, I have no idea why this suddenly jumped up a decimal to reclaim the number one spot again. I have pretty much the same feelings I had going into episode one, everyone is all caught up on that nostalgia, eh? |

| For real, Niimaya's insights about Zangetsu, Soi Fon training hard and Hitsugaya asking to be trained are moments that are still in my mind. Ichigo needs to walk ahead to the path of truth, and Uryu is in a bad time now with Yhwach. I'm really hyping the 2nd cour! And the 3rd and the 4th!!!!!  |

| I've loved this cour from start to finish, and this episode was a perfect ending to it. Ichigo confronting Zangetsu/Yhwach about the truth was such an emotional scene, and it was hype to see him finally gain his true Zanpakuto after their farewell. July is a long wait, but it's worth it for quality like this. See you all for the next cour! |
| Amazing episode. First season of TYBW was insane, I loved every single episode. Everything looked incredible, the soundtrack was awesome. "Everything but the rain" adaptation was so good! I really needed to see that! Ending this first cour with the Zangetsu reveal was great, and closing with "Number One" was the cherry on top for me cause it's my favorite Bleach song. Easy 10/10 rating, and... I need to analyze the other shows but I think this will be my AOTY. |

| I loved the addition of Number One, a really great way to end this cour. It was also cool seeing the Great Elder from Kumamoto's clan for the first time in anime, he looked awesome. Overall a great first cour for the Thousand Year Blood War, it definitely surpassed my expectations. I hope it continues to when it comes back in July! |
| This is legitimately one of the best adaptations ever. If you told me Bleach would make a comeback with this kind of quality, I wouldn't have believed it. Direction and pacing was great, and nearly all the shots looked flawless. The composition and art direction is seriously beautiful, every episode literally looked like a movie!!! And the fact that they got all the old VA's to return is amazing. |
| setting this up for the next part as expected. ichigo dual zanpakuto looks pretty fire. whole zanpakuto forging sequence was my favorite part. and ofc they played the number 1 ost. can't believe they spoilt ishida joining yhwach when it was just gonna happen in the last few seconds of the season finale. but before next part airs, i will have read the manga. overall 8/10. |

| Ah, most of the time I was underwhelmed aside from Yamamotos fight and Ichigo fighting Ywach. The animations were immaculate, but the story didn't do it for me, since Ichigo always wind up having his Zanpakuto broken and losing his powers and defeated. The German words used for the Quincy were random since Kubo thought whichever one sounded cool. I wished the antagonist had better motivation. |

| I've never liked when series replace their main antagonists with another late in the series but I do think having sit on aizen not being the final boss for like 10 years i can appreciate how good the set up with ywach is, this genunly is a really good twist and way to tie in ichigo to the conflict, i think i always liked this twist I just think the dissapointment in the series in general around that point was clouding my judgment on this and the series in general. All in all, really good stretch of episodes, really hoping they do iron out the kinks that the arc has later in that mistakenly made me think the whole thing was a mess. |

| Bleach has always been my favorite out of the big 3 back then, but holy fuck, this adaptation of the early parts of the TYBW arc is just *chef's kiss* a masterpiece. But the next parts after this will be the real challenge for Pierrot, as it's where there a lot of holes in the plot and the fights that needs to be filled, if they can fill those holes, then we're fucking golden. Finally, I've been waiting years for the true Zangetsu and it exeeded expectations. 7 months is gonna be a long wait, but it's going to be worth it. 10/10 |

| The nerve of Shūhei to dare and say "You have no right to bad mouth Tōsen" To Kensei and Mashiro, the two people who were backstabbed and almost killed by Tōsen is insane to me. in fact, there is hardly anyone with more rights to bad mouth Tōsen than these two. |

| The day off for Xmas had me twisted! I forgot it was Monday! I was thinking Ichi would bow to the Asauchi. Didn't expect the other way around. I can't stand parts, but if we get this quality, I'll patiently wait. |

Of course, in typical Bleach fashion, Ichigo didn't know how he was going to make it back into Soul Society, so Mera appeared to take him back to Oetsu's palace. Here, Ichigo would have had to take the exam again, but that wasn't necessary since the Asauchi had already recognized Ichigo's talent and Ichigo was able to locate his own Asauchi quickly. I have to admit that I was a bit surprised by how Ichigo's Asauchi looked, but still couldn't make sense of it. In the meantime, we could see that everyone is doing their best to be prepared for the next invasion. It must be particularly difficult for Hitsugaya as he has invested endless amounts of time into his Bankai only to have it stolen by the Quincys in the end. By far the most exciting part for me was that Hisagi should now master Bankai with the help of Kensei and Mashiro. There's a lot of work ahead of him, but I can't wait to see what his Bankai will look like. With the subsequent scene change back to Oetsu and Ichigo, we were introduced to the Nimaiya bodyguards. And what a crazy bunch they were. I hadn't expected such a crazy structure for a forge. Especially the scene where Tsumiko creates a hammer out of her tooth left me a bit speechless. Unfortunately, while it was spoiled a bit in the opening, we now have proof that the elderly gentleman that Ichigo always mistook for as Zangetsu was actually Yhwach. If you think about it, it's true that Ichigo's inner hollow was actually the one that bounced him out of sticky situations. Still, it's almost hard to believe that Ichigo's "true" power has been permanently suppressed, allowing him to only use a fraction of it. However, I also have to admit that there was something very emotional about this conversation between Ichigo and the old man Zangetsu. It felt like saying goodbye to a good friend. This resulted in Ichigo reaching for the heated blades to pour his soul into them. That the entire lake evaporated just from pulling them out of the fire says enough about Ichigo's new reached power level. This season was nothing but a masterpiece. Even if I had always believed in a comeback, I never expected such a grandiose adaptation. Just as Ichigo poured his soul into his new zanpakuto, the director, the animators, the voice actors, just about everyone involved with the project poured their soul into Bleach. Thanks Pierrot for such an amazing work. Easy 10/10 |

| Nice finale, though I'm wondering how the next set of cours is gonna be handled since there aren't a whole lot of good stopping points coming up. I appreciate the restrained use of hype tracks like Number One. It can be tempting to include it more often, but they really seem to know just when to and when not to use it. And boy, when they do use it... :D If someone could remind me: the captains only lost their bankai, but not their shikai, right? That should still make them at least somewhat helpful (when compared to before they lost their bankai, that is). Man, they gave Ichigo 2 swords like some kind of OP isekai protagonist! Can't believe they ruined the show like that! /s |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
