| that Rebecca death in the last episode was pure perfection at shock value death. one of the best I have ever seen, with the only one that matched it being from parasyte the maxim. just wow, I am so sad this show didn't slow down a little. with a little more build up and breathing room, this had the potential to be even better. it's rare to see an already great show have so much room for improvement. Lucy's backstory could have been a full episode, the adam something death bot could have had a lot more build up. the world building could have been way more detailed, and yet it still managed to be amazing. I would compare this show to akudama drive, and while I do think it had enough problems/weakspots to be on the same level or weaker, its potential was WAY higher. and I am so sad that it didn't reach it, because I know it would have been one of the best anime out there if it did. I'm getting off topic, what did you all think about that death? do you know any series with a better pure shock value death? (for obvious reasons just name the show, don't say who dies without a spoiler tag) |

| half of this thread is people arguing over grammar. That also has some shock value. ot: I didn't understand what the story was really about but I agree that it was paced and could have explored more into the characters. and tbh I don't know why I should be happy if someone dies. |

| Even if I knew she's going to die (thanks to people who spoil EVERYTHING the date it drops) it still was kinda unexpected and rushed and I love it. BOOM and she's just dead, Maine's death was much more, I dunno, subtle? We had a lot of time to accept it. But here? NO TIME TO WASTE, she was massacred, moving on. I love Rebecca, she deserved better( (unlike Kiwi and Maine, they really had it coming. David as well, what he thought is gonna happen to him) |

But to say any of the last deaths in either show come as a shock is a stretch. Rebecca’s was probably one of the worst deaths too since it happened in the middle of a fight. The viewers got no time to process it before we’re thrown back into the action. Sadly, it wasn’t shocking or emotional in any way. i did not say it used shock factor as a negative. and i disagree, i think robecca had the best death in the series. plus, it was fairly obvious that the mc was going to die, but i am pretty certain 99% of the people watching did not see the becca death coming |

Because Akudama Drive and Cyberpunk had similarities but Akudama Drive didn't get as popular and honestly I think Akudama Drive is better. i agree, but i think cyberpunk had the higher ponetial. |
