This episode was like a cat and mouse game that led to the tower confrontation.

Seriously though, items being stolen is a pretty common theme in RPG type of games and this anime reminds me of that. A tense episode imo and that ending gave me the chills.

It's sad to see Shiloh being left out again and again, even if it's for his safety.

I'm heartbroken with the revelation that really was Serafina that killed Esmeralda. And her deception to know where Ruri and Shinju are.

So Sandra was so sad/impressed that she transitioned, like a clownfish?

Well, now I'm interested to know why Seraphina is helping Sandra. But I can't forgive you for killing my Emeraude >(

The way I see it's kinda like fire emblem fates -- type of scenario, the reason why we got the two protagonists was so that the viewers can place themselves on either side of the dilemma.

Also, for those who didn't understand, the subbers translated gyokuseki as "Crystal" but the parallel term in the game is the "Clarius" which is the name given in the original translation for the highest stratum in the jumi hierarchy, this caused a lot of trouble in the lore, because the artifact that unlocks the bejeweled city was translated as "Jumi staff" but the real name is "gyokuseki no ooshaku" or, the "Clarius Scepter"

This is because the game was translated by more than one person, still I keep wondering who named the gyokuseki as "Clarius" .. probably the same person who named Ruri "Elazul" .. kinda creative, but confusing when you try to understand the whole thing with strata within the Jumi.

Seraphina comes off as a complete moron helping to murder all those Jumi, and personally killing at least one in cold blood, to save ONE person that Sandra obsesses over.

Also how do Pearl and Blackpearl have separate bodies when they seemed to be two sides of the same person before?

So Sandra is our ally? And why Ruri have one metal arm?

I like this anime despite it not being very well made. I love the characters but the writing is sadly bad.

I'm not sure why Black Pearl admitted defeat after being punched in the gut a little? She barely looked hurt. I also don't get how Shinju-hime and Black Pearl were both physically there at the same time.

And I hate how Shiloh's reaction to Seraphina killing Emeraude is so mild? Like Emeraude's death was quickly brushed under the rug. And when he sees Seraphina again he's not super angry or demanding an explanation??

Black Pearl in this episode was the real Pearl and the White Pearl you see there is just an illusion that only exists within the Room of Fate (notice how she never left the room when Black Pearl agreed to fight Ruri and Shiloh downstairs). It's literally just the exact opposite of what happened in episode 5 when Shiloh first visited the tower with Pearl.

No way, it was actually Seraphina that killed Esmeralda.

Wait, so the Jumi Hunter Sandra is a Jumi as well?
WTF.

Damn Seraphina has the audacity to return to Shiloh and pretend she isn't in cahoots with Sandra.
