Synopsis
Awaking to absolute chaos and carnage while on a school trip, Yogiri Takatou discovers that everyone in his class has been transported to another world! He had somehow managed to sleep through the entire ordeal himself, missing out on the Gift — powers bestowed upon the others by a mysterious Sage who appeared to transport them. Even worse, he and another classmate were ruthlessly abandoned by their friends, left as bait to distract a nearby dragon. Although not terribly bothered by the thought of dying, he reluctantly decides to protect his lone companion. After all, a lowly Level 1000 monster doesn't stand a chance against his secret power to invoke Instant Death with a single thought! If he can stay awake long enough to bother using it, that is... Lol, one of the peak trash LN finally get anime adaptation. I don't have much hype for this adaptation but atleast i hope i can eat my popcorn while see a thread about Goku vs the MC,like Goku vs Saitama thread.
Monster of the week trope is a sign inability of the author to write a good plot so they introduce random ass villain to distract viewer with action.
My Instant Death Ability is So Overpowered, No One in This Other World Stands a Chance Against Me!

It works because Japanese adore isekai, sadly, all works are made for them first and foremost

Not just Japanese. People from former Soviet Republics also adore this type of stories (a lot of them hate typical JP isekais, though, because teenage MCs and harems). Not sure about other countries, but in Ukraine and Russia even the good fantasy writers have to make isekai-type stories just because they sell.

No, you are wrong, I am from Russia and I hate isekai stories.

And? I see what is selling in bookshops and book markets around.

I wrote about Japan, all works are made for them at first.
Shocked it's another Isekai that has it's entire synopsis laid out in it's ridiculously long title name. Well it's been a while since we got one of these so it was bound to happen sooner than later.
I am not really going to trash this Anime since I never read the source material. Odds are pointing at it being just another generic cookie cutter seasonal Isekai unless the industry is purposely just trying to troll us on this one.
It's only a matter of time that one day this industry will release some "sleeper" Isekai Anime that turns out to be some under hyped and under rated masterpiece that will catch us all off guard. I just don't want to be "that guy" that prematurely starts trashing an Anime before it's even given a chance.

And I said it is the same here. Post-Soviet republics audience is also a bit to obsessed with "protagonist got transferred to another world and got overpowered" stories. It is not JP-exclusive thing. That was my point. Your personal preference is irrelevant here.
AshenChivalier said: time to not be like all these damn "isekai is so shit " like the rest of these comments but this one is actually quite an enjoyable series.
no one said isekai is shit, its just become way too copy paste to the point where even the titles of the manga/LN are acknowledging it
1/10 This novel is really bad, I don't understand why many people like this novel, even just look at the statistics of many people dropping this novel, come on guys are you crazy to rate this novel to 8/10? The story is like repeating itself, slaughtering the enemy, then the enemy meets the main character, and of course the main character tells the enemy not to face him, but the enemy will definitely fight back despite the warning and boom the main character immediately kills the enemy without breaking a sweat, ouh come on can't it be more epic than that? Although the name of this novel is instant death at least it gives a little bit of mc overwhelmed, the battle in this novel is very boring because it will continue like that when he meets his enemy, this novel is only for people who love overpower and this novel is only a bedtime novel because I wasted my time just to read this damn novel.

Dude it's ok not to like something but this is borderline spoiling the story for those who haven't read it. Not every Anime adaptation ends up being complete crap just because you thought the source material was bad and not every Anime produced does justice to it's source material either. Some time Anime adaptations will even be loosely based off source material. The article doesn't give the readers any specifics about what to expect other than a copy/paste reciting J-Novel Club's synopsis of the Light Novel.

It isn't my preference. You don't have any proof to declare this statement, that is all. It is your opinion on this.

Just open any top of best-selling russian fantasy books. And it is you who should provide a proof here as you are trying to deny my statement.

And I write about Japanese works, not Russian. I don't deny such Russian stories.
