Man, even when it doesn't involve stage performances, Mameda proves herself as a selfless person who wants to help others.

A lot of comedy gags in this episode. And can we also get more of Bunko please? She's just so damn fun to watch in this series.

Shirara's master is a peculiar case.

The second half of the episode had some really funny moments.

It's a shame the yuri scene wasn't real. :P

Where did that remark "Budapest" (capital of Hungary) come from when Shirara jump-kicked her Master???

Bunko quoted a waka again in this episode as well, this time from Mibu no Tadamine. ("He made his way through white snow into Mt. Yoshino, and I have not heard from him since then")

I love these kind of cultural references but putting them aside this anime gets worse every episode. Shirara's master's performance was sub-par just like the slapstick humour in this episode. I don't like this show that much as I though I would.

What a wacky episode, funnier than the previous ones combined. I agree the series needs more of Bunko. Her acerbic no-fools-suffered attitude is my favorite element of the show so far.

Betcha the other two Heavenly Kings aren't bright characters like Shirara's master.

Shirara's Master Byakudanji Tsubaki is a mysterious master alright.

Mameda encountering a talking butt, but a person who's being chased by debt collectors. Given his stature, he can be easily identified as Byakudanji, though his relationship with Shirara is an unusual one for sure (that "Budapest" jump-kick reply was sublime). The master himself has come back, and immediately performing a Rakugo right then and there shows his blood relationship towards Bunko, though like a close sibling. That said, Byakudanji's Rakugo opener was to put it simply: amazing with comedic segments.

Rakuda coming in to retrieve Byakudanji, and Mameda feels the crunch to repay everything he owed, not knowing that her actions will lead to Bunko also being responsible for the debt as well. The only way to get rid of debt collectors is by putting on fake acts to drive them away, from falling sick to the almost Yuri-like love moment, and the make-up game show to an Olympic-like run. Man, I love Bunko for her nonchalant attitude in making sure that she's still the cunning nine-tailed fox drawn from her personality. However, the ship deporting Byakudanji has already sailed...and for some reason, he managed to swim back on his butt.

Being one of the Four Heavenly Kings along with Bunko herself, saving him the hassle of sending him to a labour camp to serve on Rakugo is the better chance to rake up money to clear off his debt, and a sell-out kabuki theater is more than enough. Oh well, this Master-apprentice-slbling relationship is one of discern, but still feeling close enough.

Easily the best episode so far, it's only when it can deliver.

nice episode. good to see shirara's master is back and he's a funny guy both on stage and in real life. though i really want to see his "master" side when he's strict or something. people like him are surprisingly strict when serious.

man imagine the dopamin hits the performers must get when they tell a joke and hundreds and hundreds of people laugh heartily at that. such a huge confidence boost.

bunko and mameda driving off those debt-collectors like that was kinda dumb but well we can look over it.

how byakudanji got off that cage is beyond me.

overall a very nice episode. the ED has some healing power not gonna lie.

The end of an era. Thank you Wit, Mappa and Isayama.
Feeling half happy, half sad.

Her master is also one of the 4 leaders, but with a lot of debts, hope he can pay them back with his rakugo skills.

What was he even doing that he incurred so many debts 😅 Haha Bunko calling Rakuda out that he gets lenient/soft when he has to do his job. It's funny whenever these two interact because it shows how strong/clever Bunko is and Rakuda gets to learn more (about himself/others).

Young Bunko appearance, thank you!!!
