The official website of the Shin no Nakama ja Nai to Yuusha no Party wo Oidasareta node, Henkyou de Slow Life suru Koto ni Shimashita (Banished From The Hero's Party, I Decided To Live A Quiet Life In The Countryside) television anime announced a second season on Monday. Original illustrator Yasumo and manga artist Masahiro Ikeno drew two illustrations commemorating the announcement (pictured right and above, respectively).

The first season produced by Studio Flad and Wolfsbane aired in 13 episodes in Fall 2021. Funimation streamed the anime with subtitles and an English dub.

The anime series adapts Zappon's slice of life fantasy novel, which he originally launched on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in October 2017. Kadokawa began printing the novel through its Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko in June 2018, featuring illustrations by Yasumo. The 11th volume will ship on Tuesday. The light novel has a cumulative 2.2 million copies of its volumes in circulation, including digital editions.

Monthly Shounen Ace began serializing a manga adaptation by Ikeno in May 2018. Kadokawa released the ninth volume on July 26, with the tenth volume scheduled for release on November 25.

Yes Press licensed the light novel in English in November 2019 and released the sixth volume on July 12. The seventh volume is planned for a November 8 release.

Synopsis
Far away from the reaches of demons and war, near the borderland of Zoltan, D-Rank adventurer Red lives a normal existence. Through perseverance and hard work, his dream of starting his own apothecary and peaceful life in the countryside finally came true. Abruptly, Red gets a live-in partner and assistant named Rit—the princess of Duchy Loggervia and an adventurer herself—who gives everything up to join him.

Although honest, kind, and loved by all, Red has a secret shared only with Rit: his real name is Gideon, brother of Ruti Ragnason, the "Hero" and a former member of her party. Ares Drowa, the "Sage," kicked Red out of their party after their war against the Demon Lord after deciding he was weak and insignificant. Now, even though Red has left the Hero's party behind by assuming a new life together with Rit, his past has yet to let go of him. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Hope the animation isn't as bad as the first one.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Not surprised it got a second season because that's the norm for isekais, surprised it took an year for the confirmation.

It isn't an Isekai anime. Almost any seasonal Fantasy franchise gets labeled as an Isekai by those who don't even take the time to even read up on a titles synopsis.

It's happened recently to titles such as "DanMachi", "The Dawn of the Witch", "I'm Quitting Heroing", "The Last Dungeon Boonies'", and even "The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt", etc..

As much as the story in season 1 was pretty damn boring plot vise its still one of the rare few titles i enjoyed for the sol / romance in it, just hope next season will have more of that and less of the hero party stuff and it might turn out to be pretty damn good. Well and i got Rit in favorites so not like i was gonna skip this in first place anyway. Gonna be a solid 6 or 7 probably.

From person who has read c124 LN

I like slow life, the MC is not dense, there is conflict so the story could progress, resolving crisis need cooperation, not just by MC alone.
That is, until the arrival of little sister.

Spoiler
Little sister is so OP but lacking in some aspect so okay, everyone is still needed. Pacing quite inconsistent but can be ignored.

But why oh why?

I'm fine with brocon/siscon if it's still normal love like want to protect them/ make them happy/ be with them. Heck, that's the ideal family anyway.

But when it progress to bath together, aware of her breast, compare to fiance breast, it's so disgusting. Drop immediately.

This is definitely an underrated anime. I liked so much the first season also because storyline was unusual.

You got to be shitting. Even in terms of "totally not an iseaki, really" it was utter garbage. I can't believe it was anything more than a low effort tax evasion scheme. Did this piece of shit actually sell well?

It's obviously popular enough in Japan and it's getting a sequel likely due to it's light novel sales. Not every Fantasy themed Anime has to be some combat action driven Battle Shounen boner material for an Anime to be liked. If you watched it for what it was worth, it mainly was just a fantasy slice of life Anime.

I don't have qualms about it being slice of life or whatever it was attempting to be. It was horribly written, even for an isekai (which it obviously wasn't with its generic RPG setting, mechanics and plot points). There's dime a dozen apothecary isekai as well, so aside from self insert actually banging token tits, there wasn't a single thing putting it apart from other isekai trash in any positive way. It boggles my mind it actually got a sequel.

Despite the the studios having hard time balaning the SoL and action stuff, I still liked it in general.

So will be watching S2.

P.S.: Now I really hope for Roll Over and Die adaptaion in the future (same premise but with dark fantasy/yuri take). Though, considering the author is having hard time with vol. 5 release, chances are super low.

Provided I'm alive and conscious, I will definitely be watching this.

Actually, as far as I'm concerned, the less plot the better. I could easily watch 10 seasons and counting of the days and moments of lull in this world. It's very warm and inviting and I love the feel of their distant yet homey and cozy town on the edge of the world (or frontier near the mountains) which forms the setting.

I interpreted it to be a high fantasy - i.e., set in a completely alternate world that is not our Earth with its own countries, history, geography, physics, etc. However, although there is one other possibility I can think of, yes, mainly it's either a high fantasy or somehow set in the far future.

It's a native isekai.
