Belive it or not, but Twitter outrage is what makes this show even more enjoyable.

And Uzaki's breast size isn't that much important and is quite rarely brought up in the show.
The main selling point are interactions between main duo.
I think, that if Uzaki's breast will be the size of Ami's (which are also quite large), then barely anyone would notice.

I still think it would be as good cause Nagatoro doesn't have a big chest and it is similar circumstances and it's just as funny

The episode had an entire segment about dressing Uzaki (and Sakurai) up in lewd cosplay. Not only are the tits a must for Uzaki, they're a must for every female character in the show, as the focus is always on their chests and tight tops.

What outrage?

At this point is just fans acting enraged towards twitter contrarian comments from long time ago, wich faded quite fast.

This is nothing but fans making a big deal about nothing, just looking for an outlet to act entitled and offended.

Personally, I think Uzaki is very neutral, but I feel that some people would like it because of their personality but it would not be so controversial on Twitter because of their "lack of realism"

Two things come to mind:
1. Her height and body shape, excluding her chest, could easily be taken as too loli/childlike, thus casting aspersions on any who would admire her (both in-universe and among fans). Her chest pretty much knocks down any such presumptions and indicates more definitively that she's of age of consent. (This came up in discussions about her during S1.)
2. There's an unspoken/implied premise that any girl with a rack like that would surely attract a lot of attention from suitors. It's significant that she hasn't taken up with any of them and instead chose to go after Sakurai. She wants to choose the guy she likes instead of getting involved with some guy who pursued her for possibly the wrong reasons.

Still boggles my fuckin' mind that people gripe about realism in anime of any kind

God, I totally agree you're supposed to watch anime to detach yourself from reality and have a little fun, not to look for reality and criticize for the shape of the drawings

Honstly? Yes, I do. Sure, some of the early jokes do revolve around Uzaki's chest, but there's a really clever romcom behind all that that doesn't really need the boobs, they're just there to draw initial attention. The show is good because of the relationship between Uzaki and Sakurai, as well as the other characters in their immediate orbit.

It would be "alright". Not the same thing, obviously.

But boobs are THE thing in ecchi, so it is a very good reason. And besides Uzaki is so cute, she is one of the best 'wanna take care, hug and have a family' kind of waifu.

The work was created with the character having big boobs that's how the creator created the character! and looking for realism in anime or drawings is stupid!

Yup. 100%

Although it hasn't been that problematic in season two, and the focus hasn't been on it as much.

But my score of Season 1 would probably be increased if this change were implemented.

Sorry breast lovers, but needless sexualization breaks the immersion for me personally.

That isn't to say cup sizes like Uzaki's don't actually exist... I'm not implying that it's unrealistic.
AGAIN, I don't actually mind it in season two, given that it's less of a focal point. At least, as of Episode 7, which I just finished.

the character development and slice of life is actually a lot more enjoyable this season since we get to ssee more of Uzaki's family. Season 1 sort of relied on the big boob gimmick, but it is good they didn't repeat it

This person couldn't have said it better, and I wish I had said it first lol. Yeah, season one did rely on the boob gimmick, whereas season two actually focused on character development, Uzaki's family, and less promiscuous slice-of-life aspects. Well-put.

If Uzaki were flat-chested in season one, then yes, season one would've been better.
But genuinely, her chest size doesn't have much of an impact on season two, so I'd argue that the quality of season two wouldn't change. :)

I'm the exact opposite. I feel this season has relied far too much on ancillary characters and not enough on Uzaki herself. Which is why this has been the most disappointing anime of this season for me.

Usually the problem with rom coms is that the tropes become overdone and repetitive. So yeah I do agree season 2 is better since it emphasizes new parts

The first season definitely played around with the comedy aspect of her breast size more, this season it's rarely brought up for better or worse. I'm enjoying the whole family aspect a lot this season.

I don't understand the appeal of a flat chest unless you're into prepubescent girls or men, but I wouldn't care if she had smaller breasts.
If you reply back to me and I never respond, I lost interest and don't care. Sorry about that.

^ Regarding the comment above, I don't necessarily think the OP's wondering if Uzaki's character design would be more alluring if she had a flat chest. I think the point of the OP's question is to ponder if the show as a whole would be more appealing if less emphasis was placed on breasts, period.
Yeah, it's not like that I or others would seek a flat-chest out of this show. It's just, with an altered character design, we'd see less overused tropes and a bit more out-of-the-box style writing.

Regardless, I think this is a very mid anime anyway haha. It's nice to watch to pass the time, maybe in a waiting room or on the bus (god forbid anyone sees what you're watching). It does have a nice story. But sometimes I do question if there's something better I could be watching.
5-6/10 with massive breasts, 6.5-7/10 without em 😅

While I don't think it would be enjoyment breaking in any way, the fact that Hana has your typical pettanko behaviour while harbouring such badonkas is a kind of cliché break that does give something to the show in my opinion.
The main appeal of the show is obviously the chemistry between the MCs, but the SUGOI DEKAI does bring in some laughs, and makes the show memorable, as not many comedy anime have short stacked characters, since they tend to stick closely to stereotypes. Only one I can remember from the top of my mind is Working! .

Yeah. Her chest size was only "important" early on. Now they don't use it for anything really.
Although I prefer her as she is. Without boobs she'd be just another cheeky loli. At least she is somewhat unique now.

I found the first season horrible mainly because of this vulgar comedy about big boobs. Now that they rarely use them i find the anime way more pleasant. So I think it would actually be way more enjoyable if she was flat

That s like saying that you prefer men without beard, clean shaved, because you re into prepubescent boys or women. So you think flat chested mature women don t deserve love? That s pretty hardcore. Did you ever think about why you were attracted by big boobs? what s so good about them?

In conclusion : "Both is good"

The comedy would have been just as surface level, only the focus would have been switched. Personally I like boobs and this show's comedy was always average at best. So rather than switching out the boobs for something else. I would prefer the improvement of the comedy's quality.

Agree she is too short and chest is nuts, be it smaller it would be better, also when she was middle (or was it high school?) schooler she was cuter, i mean her hair and face were much better, hope we see her at least that cute, her sister is also looks hotter, she is like a boy, i think she is the smallest and you can view her as the smallest brother.
