Haikyuu was my very first sports anime which I just loved so much and have been eagerly waiting for next season.Since April when Ao Ashi began airing I was planning on binging it when it finished airing. And now it's my question to those who have finished watching it,how did you feel watching Ao Ashi and was it close to how you felt watching Haikyuu?

Well, it is similar to haikyuu in a way. It focuses on an MC who isnt skilled at the sports they play but have some kind of advantage that helps them even though they dont know how to use it at its full potential. It’s also really good in terms of showing the realism of the sports, but when it comes to the struggles of the athletes, Ao Ashi has the upperhand since it focuses more on the mental struggles of the players wanting to go pro, instead of wanting to go to nationals like in haikyuu. Its a much more important topic since its their future, rather than just a high school tournament. If you enjoyed haikyuu, i recommend you binge ao ashi since it is kinda similar to haikyuu.

I absolutely loved watching this anime. It made me feel the same anticipation and excitement as Haikyuu but it also felt more painful to watch but I felt it was worth it to really understand how Aoi Ashito grows. It doesn't show the opponents pov like Haikyuu does unfortunately. Though it does when they are significant to the growth of the team. You go more through the individual growth of Ashito than the team in the first half but the second shows more depth. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did these past 6 months. :)

I think if you liked either of those anime, you will surely like the other because they have similar plots and MCs who love a sport and want to learn more about it to get better. Haikyu seems better because of it having a few seasons already and imo ao ashi has the potential to get as good if not better.

They are pretty similar. The representation of the sports is realistic, they promote teamwork which is the core of team sports, and the MCs start quite average and evolve.

The only difference is that Ao Ashi focuses on the drama more, giving the protagonist one extra layer. On the other hand, Haikyuu relies on positivity and hard work only, which also makes sense given that the whole series is taking place in a high school setting rather than a professional one.

I'd say I love them both and there's no room for comparison, especially when it comes to which showcases the sport better than the other.

Haikyuu is personally way better but this good too, I'd definitely recommend the manga more tho cuz I like the art in the manga a lot more.

Could be better than Haikyuu but for now, it's not. We're going to get more interesting matches and events happening so that's always exciting.

I think Ao ashi would lose in this only because haikyuu been here longer. But personally I don't like volleyball that much. So I choose ao ashi easily one of the best sports anime I've seen. It only lacks in animation especially when the matches are on, something like sakuga was like average as best. A lot of static shots. Otherwise the story is great.
