| Quite the opposite. It's a series, which puts heavy emphasis on dialogue and phenomenal performance of the voice cast is a major contributor to the greatness of this series. Also, a LOT would be lost in translation. Even making proper subs is a challenge. It would be incredibly hard to make decent dub. Impossible, actually, because dubs are garbage by default. Simply put, dub would a huge downgrade. |

Berserk trilogy? Samurai champloo? texhnolyze? Cyberpunk edgrunners? any ghbli film? Baccano? I did not said it's up to debate. |

| because it's licensed by Aniplex of America. That's it. Most Aniplex shows that weren't Sword Art Online or other mainstream were not dubbed. also, there is wordplay and puns which works in Japanese but it still has been dubbed in German, French, Korean and Russian. So the loss of originality kinda sounds like an excuse. |

| Monogatari has a lot of word plays in Japanese, which does not work in English. I think dub would make it loose a bit of its charm, like the jokes and stuff. Openings will be still in subs, but not as enjoyable as it's right now. Also, english VA are kinda meh at voicing the moe characters. (subjective) |

| The show bends the Japanese language with amazing word games and word bends. This show basically is to Japanese language what the Shakespeare plays were for the English language. You cannot dub it. Also nice troll account. |

Plus, official western translators' 4kids style approach at localization is pretty much incompatible with it. And to top it all off, emotionless western VAs wouldn't deliver anything properly, cause western dub directors tell them to do it that way. And to answer OP's question, No. Does it really make you seethe that hard? You really shouldn't worry about what other people like. |

| the monogatari series literally is built around the Japanese vocabulary 90% of the dialogue plays with how the language works. dubbing it would destroy a ton of the meaning behind what they say. the closest we've gotten to a good dub is the Audio book and even that's far from perfect. monogatari is 90% built around the conversations with characters. @V1P3R0P it has english translations actually. even an audio book, but the audio books take forever to come out i think we've been stuck on nekomongatari black for a while now they've not even released nisemongatari yet. also 1st post new account no favorites or anything okay who's alt account is this? |

| No it's pretty good. 2/3 anime I've marked as favorites on this website also never got a dub so it doesn't have anything to do with quality. |
