Why does Natsume and Natori look exactly alike?

I can't help but notice they look almost identical but the show never acknowledges how similar they both look. It's to the point where it's weird to me how the youkai don't also mistake Natori for Reiko. Because since he looks so much like Natsume and apparently Natsume looks like Reiko it would make sense. Is this done on purpose or what? No spoilers if they do explain this later in the seasons. Just say something like yeah they purposely made them look alike and they'll explain it in the future.

I think Natsume doesn't look like Reiko to Youkai. He "feels" like Reiko to them. I wouldn't know how to say it any other way.

Regarding the other topic, they are similar... but I don't know if that will affect the plot in the future. Sorry =P.

Huh, I never really thought they looked similar but looking at their pictures yeah I guess so. I guess it's just the art style and similar hair colors but as far as I know it never becomes plot relevant

it's called "character design" from the same artists...

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

I always thought Reiko and Natsume dont look alike either

For the most part, Natsume doesn't looks like Reiko, he smells like Reiko, either for their same level of spirituality or the blood connection between them. And for the most part Natori doesn't exactly looks like Natsume, they are kinda alike but not entirely. There's also another character (not sure if he appeared in the anime or not) that looks like Natsume's older and stressed out version. But to be exact none of them are connected with each other.
